Diana's feelings for Akko do not diminish as time wears on. Unfortunately, something happens to make it quite clear that there isn't a chance of it becoming something worth talking about. To help fight her heartbreak, Diana throws herself into researching how to revive magic, something that will require the help of her friends. After all, the call of the blue moon was impossible for any werewolf to resist.

Diana begins her study sessions with Akko. The first one… well, it definitely could have gone much better. That was okay, though, because Diana was nothing if not diligent, and she could actually learn from her mistakes, no matter what her naysayers had to say about the matter. While that began to address Akko's lack of general magical knowledge, there was still the issue with her not being able to use magic. Diana didn't expect to get to the bottom of that immediately, but she was determined to get started on it. After all, if they could figure out the cause, they could fix it, and then everyone would see the potential that Akko had!

The exam period of the Autumn term are upon the witches who go to Luna Nova, and while Diana is acing them left and right, other students are not so fortunate, no matter how much effort they put into studying. It is perhaps unsurprising that the student suffering the most from said affliction is Akko Kagari, which really is a shame because even Diana has noticed how hard Akko has been working to improve. Just what is really going on with Akko? And how is her current predicament going to impact her opportunity to remain a student at Luna Nova?

Someone on TikTok pointed out that Mira and Zoey were probably still wearing the earpieces that let them hear each other's voices over the music when they chased after the Bobby doppelganger at the Idol Awards. So when Takedown started playing and they went running back, they could still hear Rumi on stage.
Meaning they definitely heard Rumi scream, "Please, stop!" directly in their ears with zero context while they were desperately trying to get to her.
Anyway, angst writers who like giving the girls nightmares about the Idol Awards, please feel free to hurt us more by including this in Mira and Zoey's nightmares :)

The week continues, and Diana's Friday morning at the hospital starts pretty rough but ends far better than she could have imagined. As a small reward to herself, she decides to go to her favorite bar and grill, where she's joined by unexpected company. Upon returning home, she discovers that she's not the only one to have unexpected company that evening, and she receives what might be encouraging. Now the only question is, when will she act upon it? Or will the universe decide on its own to act for her?

In the aftermath of that disastrous second session, Diana falls into a bad enough funk that Hannah and Barbara notice and confront her about it. Given that Diana just really doesn't want to deal with the fallout from them finding out about the situation with Akko, Diana instead vents about the issues she's been having on the ICU, which does help to improve her mood. Unfortunately, the ICU has additional ways to hurt Diana, as she is just about to find out...

The morning after Diana’s wet dream is an unmitigated disaster.
She wakes up much later than normal and doesn't have enough time to do all of her normal morning routines and only just barely gets to work in time. And of course, today is the day when things keep going wrong on the ICU. Just about the only silver lining is that Akko is able to get Diana in after work to finish the tattoo. Is this actually a silver lining, though? Or does Diana's lot in life intrude within Triple A Inkery and send it all crashing down?

Following Diana's first tattoo session, she begins her residency at Blytonbury General Hospital's ICU, which helps to pass the time. Unfortunately for her, she does not get alone with the Attending Physician who is appointed as her mentor. While dealing with all of that, she takes extra special care of her tattoo and helps Hannah with hers, which leads to a discussion that reveals that Diana is not the only one who had some self-revelations in the tattoo parlor. As the four weeks draw to an end, Diana vents about some of the challenges she's encountering in the ICU.

Story summary:
Graduating Med School and becoming a Doctor is a huge honor, one that is worthy of celebration. Newly minted Doctor Diana Cavendish decides to celebrate her success in a way that also honors her late mother with a tattoo in the elvish script Tengwar spelling out her name. The only problem is that this is her first tattoo ever and she really doesn't know what to expect. She certainly doesn't expect that meeting her tattoo artist will change the trajectory of her life!
Chapter summary:
Diana has the consult for her tattoo and is surprised at how her tattoo artist not only recognizes Tengwar (and can read it!) but also at how cute said artist was. She's also very much impressed by Akko the tattoo artist's generosity. The next day, Diana goes in to get the tattoo itself, and during the session she learns a lot about herself!

A Hero's Heart ch. 4
Akko spends her first night in the Demon Sovereign's Fortress. While the two succubi, Hannah and Barbara, are both rude and obviously not happy about Akko's presence, she is otherwise treated quite literally like royalty or like very high-ranking nobility, which she doesn't understand, especially due to her background. The next morning, she gets a chance to get some answers while having breakfast with Sofren Diana.

Happy @dianakko-day everyone!
This is my first time actually doing art for a Diakko event and I'm really happy with how it came out. This is from my story A Hero's Heart (which can be found on my AO3 account) wherein Diana is the Demon King and Akko is the Chosen Hero. Through a mishap on Akko's part, she finds herself a guest of Diana where they work together to actually find peace between their peoples.
The determined Demon King and the uncertain Hero contemplate what must be done while their younger selves from the past cling to them, mourning what might have been were it not for the War.
