Denji is often compared to a dog. He is loyal, protective and needs someone to follow. He literally owns a pack of dogs

Asa can be compared to a cat. She is avoidant and selfish but also gentle with the ones she cares about. An important part of her backstory is her losing her cat, the only thing that remained of her family. When Yoru asks her to kill someone she immediately refuses to kill a cat because it would be too much for her.

And the funny thing is that Power was also a cat person and Denji admits that she reminds him of her at some point
