hi everyone - i'm kin (she/her)! major procrastination runs through my veins like you wouldn't believe, as a result i don't have a functioning stats & bio page :') however, in the mean time i've punched together a lil summary for yongtae the best friend. like and i'll pop in the dms to plot!
born and raised in seoul, the only son to well off parents who were doing financially well enough to maintain his financial instability but not well off enough to let him retire before 30
he lives by the mantra of work hard and play even harder, allowing his parents to claim to some degree that their son wasn't a complete sack of potatoes
he met haneul as a teenager, much of his adolescence was spent in a blur of boy hood activities punctuated by the occasional wagging finger from his parents, told to behave and keep his head down
he spent the remainder of his teenage years in between running frantically down the street screaming nonsense and being confined to a room with his nose so deep in books that he could smell the individual pines the pages were made from
he makes his way to snu, much to his parents relief. he spends those years in a blur, half the time trying to manage the addiction he has built for the adrenaline of doing anything that puts his life at risk. the other half spent in hunching over his desk trying to wedge the formulas into his brain
going into the tech industry shortly after as an accomplished engineer (debatable), thinking that this was what life was all about - bound to a desk, with eye strain so unbearable that he could feel the words on each document penetrate his brain through the pages.
amidst the quarter life crisis, he goes part time (much to his parents' chagrin) to rediscover the joys of life
that didn't last long, as shortly after, haneul's death only made the joys of life become a blanket of both fear and guilt
accepted the invitation because he feels that deep down, haneul's ghost might return to choke him out and the guilt, laced with denial sits deep in his mind that he hopes will dissipate when he's forced to face haneul's last gift. he felt that this would finalise the chapter that haneul had filled and allow him to move on without the constant ghost of his guilt hanging over his head
