hello! i was wondering if you had any tips for running a source blog? i'm a bit new to it, and i'm curious about the logistics: do you know how members typically communicate, how to orchestrate posting, and how to publicize the blog + get new members? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :) thank you so much!!

Hi! It’s not easy to run a source blog alone, as you can see right now I’m replying to message late and that’s not a good thing.

First of all you should find a good url and a theme and create the pages (faqs, tags, tutorial etc...), you have to make sure that everything works correctly, it has to be clean and easy to use. I personally don’t like blogs that are super messy, and with links that don’t work. So you must take care of the aesthetic part.

Then you have to start reblogging resources, don’t forget to use the hashtag like “psds”, “textures” etc... you are going to add everything in your tags page (here’s mine).

When you’ll start your resources blog send me the link, and if you’ll need help don’t hesitate to message me. If you want send me a message without anonymous so I can answer privately :)

Hey! So I’ve already done a small tutorial on how I do my really bright/colour porn/colour palette gifs, so I’ll do this more of an example on how I make my regularly coloured gifs, which are pretty vibrant on their own because i love colour!

Now, I’m not going to go through the entire gif making process. I’m going to go on the assumption that you know how to grab your screencaps, load them into photoshop, create your timeline and do your cropping/sharpening. If you don’t, @jakegyllenhaals has a VERY detailed tutorial here, including proper gif sizing.
