Just a little wood burning and unicorn spit.
Still need to seal it, but not sure if I'm gonna burn more or not.
Just finished burning this beauty. Took about 12 ish hours over the course of 4 days.
I have to seal it, but is should be ready in time for this week's axe throwing league.
Photos from my recent hike.

Got to check out the nearly completed new tasting room and event space at Arrowhead Winery.
Can't wait till they get this open.
le feu de Notre-Dame
white smoke and stone, eyes on the ash and the red rush as an age of architecture dies
standing in silence— the city of light burns before the world
tinder and timbers, cinders and smoke, structure of centuries— kindled, consumed
ave maria sung through tears— kneeling in the street as the spire falls
stained glass shattered but stone survives and the bells— the bells, fire cannot silence the bells

You know you're a poet when, instead of going to sleep, at a reasonable time you stay up to write a sestina because that's what your brain demands.

If you want to know what I have reading the last three years... here most of the books are. I posted a request for audiobook recommendations on my other blog @bloodytales, and had several requests to post my own booklist... so a week of typing later and I have this massive post.
Omg. Your writing is absolutely incredible. Your poetry is so beautiful and you are extremely talented. 👏👏👏
Oh, thanks.most of the time I'm too lazy to post my stuff.
Thanks for the love.
a sonnet for sinners
I sing a song of sins I seek to share, a harmony of flesh that dares to care. hot breath and heaving, tongue and cheek and chin, a clandestine duet of souls and skin.
a hymn of hands that pull my head and hair back and breathless into a pagan prayer, we whisper wordless wonders and wander through senses set to spark and not squander
but this, our sweet, silk sheeted song, is banned and we are called the chorus of the damned. we find happiness the angels sang of and are condemned by those that loathe our love.
if this song is bad, its singers sinners, I will gladly sing myself to cinders.
battle hymn of hearts
I sing to darkness.
I aspire to light
and pray my voice holds.
the notes don’t matter to the night
but the song
survives.
active anonymity
I count the cost
of being common,
playing plain,
pretending-
coin and cash
and calculation
to be perceived a pleb
I pay my tax
to remain invisible
in flesh and fantasies
and dreams deferred
safe in the sanctuary of the sane,
a place I pay to belong,
I participate in the pageantry
and hide myself
in the masses
they play so loud for a reason
nod your head to a music that needs less than that, desperate to dance to a drumbeat without rhythm- if only to prove you can
thrust, kick, shake, every limb looking for a groove to follow
too loud, too reckless, too desperate to be heard, players that call themselves musicians are just as lost as the sweat in the crowd set to listen but hear nothing above the roar
