stomach full of blood, head full of blood, she can feel it at last, this rage that has been going on for a long time.

loved by dru (18+, she/her). rules below the cut. PERSONAL / NON-RP BLOGS PLS DON’T INTERACT.
1. sadako is intersex, as she is in the original novel, and uses she/her pronouns. other than that, everything else in this portrayal is based off of the film and takes no inspiration from the novel. (note: mun is cis, and while i have done my own research in order to portray an intersex character, i am open to and appreciative of any and all criticism when it comes to this portrayal.)
2. sadako is a lesbian. that being said, i will not be writing anything romantic or sexual with her, due to her being a child at the time of her death (exact age indeterminate.) any attempt to sexualize sadako will lead to an instant hard-block.
3. i am not japanese, so once again i encourage any and all criticism in regards to my portrayal. i will not be using google translate, as its accuracy is debatable. when sadako speaks in japanese, i will most likely simply italicize or *star* her dialogue.
4. while sadako’s main verse is her being a killer in the entity’s realm of the dbd videogame, i am open to plotting with her in the world of the film. as always, the best ways to plot with me are to send an im, ask for my discord, or like a plotting call.
5. i don’t get involved with dash drama, so you won’t see me reblogging call-outs. that being said, if you see me interacting with someone who is genuinely dangerous and not just someone that you have beef with, please let me know. in relation to this, tumblr roleplay is a hobby for me and not a political space, so i will most likely not be reblogging anything political that crosses my dash.
6. any racism, sexism, homophobia, antisemitism, xenophobia, bootlicking, or trumpism will not be tolerated here. i will not be writing with whitewashed fcs or problematic fcs. i will not be writing with minors (those under 18) due to the adult/horror nature of the source content.

I was just going to post the original meme with ‘ghostface’ and ‘sadako’ text but I decided to do a meme redraw instead. :p
From what I’ve seen in gameplay of the new killer she’s super spooky and jump-scary to play against and I love it. She might even have higher jumpscare potential than Ghostface and that’s saying something.
I want to go home, but home is the mouth of a shark. Home is the barrel of a gun. No one would leave home unless home chased you to the shore. No one would leave home until home is a voice in your ear saying—leave, run, now. I don’t know what I’ve become.
— Warsan Shire, from “Home,” Bless the Daughter Raised by a Voice in Her Head
she has nothing against the running girl. she has nothing against any of them, strangers in this strange land -- it doesn’t matter. a murdered girl, a wronged woman, and no one is safe from her RAGE. the realm she has found herself in looks almost like home -- someone else’s home, but maybe sadako’s home looked like this, once. a well-loved garden, a stone building. clear-water rivers. maybe for once, the nostalgia causes her to think past her selfish rage once she has the running girl on the ground, watering the dying plants with blood. “is this your hell?” her vocal cords groan, and she pushes her message into the girl’s mind psychically (sadako will not be thwarted by something so small as a language barrier). “what did you do...to get here?”
when exactly sadako decides to be merciful and soft is incredibly unpredictable and situationally dependent. in my re verse, she would have left sherry without a second thought while sadako was wandering raccoon city had she not witnessed birkin turning into a monster, a literalization of the father-daughter relationship that sadako herself had experienced, reminding her of her past enough to feel sympathy for the girl.
in the interpretation of the film that argues that sadako was the one who sent the towel man to help reiko figure out how to save yoichi’s life (which is a crazy sentence and also not something i’m dead set on confirming or denying) sadako similarly empathized with yoichi’s feelings of abandonment and neglect as well as connecting with reiko during the time in the well when reiko holds her bones. this leads to a lifelong connection between sadako and yoichi.
