i'm aware this is two-decade old news but mcr showing up to the 2005 vmas in an armored truck is still hysterical. imagine you're frank iero. you're sitting in the back of this armored truck with your 4 bandmates, only 1.5 of which are actually serving, the metal bench cold under your ass. your lead singer (in all likelihood the genesis of this scheme) is absolutely getting motion sick in this windowless metal prison and absolutely not willing to admit it but absolutely still making it everyone elses problem. after you eacape you get to play your little single but then sit through the star studded circle of hell that (i can only assume) any kind of awards show is. you lose all 5 categories you were nominated for. you are also dressed like this the whole time because the armored truck budget apparently came out of the tailoring budget.
