I do not see why man should not be as cruel as nature

Under any other circumstances, they would not mesh as one, and even with the mission at hand, they are tense, ready to fall apart at the slightest offense. It was what happened when you forced those whose way of life is dying with those looking to gain a bit of respect in a world that never respected them, the moneyed whose fortunes have faded long ago with the nouveau riche. The newest members did not know respect, and the older members had no interest in sharing what little power they still had a hold on. And yet they overcame their differences, because they were unified in by one thing that wealth and social status cannot destroy: hatred. But hatred and ideology can only go so far, and their fracture is as certain as their victory. Both sides felt the same way: we are united for now, but once victory is ours, the other half must be brought to heel.

Every crisis offers you extra desired power

When Hogwarts grads first started at the Ministry, they taught them a mantra to repeat until retirement. Work hard, and you might get a promotion. But what they didn’t tell them is the second half of the mantra. Play your cards right, and you might become a minister. And playing cards right in the Ministry of Magic was a complicated game of knowing where loyalties lie, what innuendo to follow up on, and when to turn traitor to a department in the name of the greater good. There was a reason that most young wix burned out within five years of starting a Ministry job, or that the hardest workers never seemed to make it into the upper echelons of power. There was a fine line between doing what was right and actually making a difference, and that line became harder and harder to find. The only thing that was left was to shut up and follow orders.

War does not determine who is right, only who is left

The old ways of staying safe, head down, stay out of trouble, do not cast loyalty with one side or another, were no longer fool-proof ways to stay alive. No matter who won or who lost, they were stuck on the sidelines, unwitting spectators to a match they had never wanted to attend. For some, they were neutral out of convenience, in the bitter hope that neutrality would allow them to live their life as they had before. For others, they were neutral out of safety, for perhaps when all of this was over and Britain finally began to heal, they would come out alive. And for some, they were neutral because there were no winners, only losers, because the Order, the Death Eaters, the Ministry, were all equally bad in their eyes and they would rather die than side with any of them. But regardless of their neutrality, none would come out unscathed.

It is better to die on your feet than to live on your knees

Reckless. Brave. Disloyal. They’ve been called all of the above and worse, but none of it is right. Yes, they take fool-hardy risks every day, and yes, they laugh in the face of death, and yes, they ignored orders to stay home, but they were so much more than that. They were angry. Anger, that was the best word to describe the Order of the Phoenix. Angry because, for so many of them the life they’d been promised, of graduating Hogwarts and getting Ministry jobs, was now an impossible dream. Angry because the Ministry, that force for supposed good, was little better than those they fought, angry because nobody would listen to them, more content to paint them as foolish children or dangerous traitors. And scared was a good word too. Because behind the loud laughter and bravado, their hands still shake when they hold their wands and the thought of dying, however painlessly, brings tears to their eyes.

what are the age requirements for the rpers?

We are open to all ages and are more focused on writing ability and maturity levels. When we open, you will see that our rules have very strict guidelines about how our members over 18 are to behave around anyone under 18, especially in terms of tagging and read-mores, and obviously, members under 18 will not be allowed to write smut.
