Kovox the ONLY way that I could defend this as an African American is if you were within a racist home or had no idea of the harm that these slurs have caused to black culture but…

And just decided to point fingers at your friend when you were CLEARLY involved within the situation but didn’t even decide to do anything about it.

But you admitted to having been involved in saying the slurs or finding these sort of things funny in the first place.

You did find the “shock” humour to have been something that you found humourous DESPITE the fact that you clearly could have prevented the issue by not being involved in the song in the first place.
I was sexually exploited by multiple white men online which had caused me multiple amounts of trauma.
Did I fully understand that having taken those pictures of myself for them was wrong?
But did I acknowledge at the time that using slurs or racism even against OTHER races was innapropitate or hurtful?
People might defend these words as “Oh they’re just edgy!” or “Its not harmful or bad stop being overdramatic!” but these things have a HISTORY to them that has caused harm towards our culture even to this day.
This history still having an impact to this day.
Racism is still very much common and to act as if it doesn’t have harmful effects when it DOES for the sake of a cartoon such as what those in the reblogs had done only enhances this stigma further.
At this point in time you should have at least KNOWN that saying these sorts of words or harmful statements as someone who is within a white community.
It would have been one thing if you had fully admitted that these issues of saying these harmful statements and activity PARTICIPATING in the situation.
The statements of “I participated in the rap video because I thought it was goofy and funny lol!” to a woman of color before having made the statements “But I would NEVER find this sort of shock humour funny!” shows the level of dishonesty that is very much perceived here.
You didn’t find it funny…
But you DID find it funny…
But then you ALSO didn’t find it funny…
But you still participated within the voices of the song…
And now you’re trying to tell ME that its just “being a goofy kid!” when children are normally very much taught by literally 4 grade that this find of wording is harmful?
By using your white previlage to tell someone to their face “I never found these things to be funny!” when you clearly had a genuine amount of involvement within this sort of behavior is nothing short of dishonesty.
I did find it to be more considerate of you to have apologized publically but at the same time excusing the situation as “NEVER” reflecting your behavior when you had an involvement within the rap video and didn’t event blink an eye shows that you don’t want to actually admit that these statements had caused harm in the first place.
This sort of behavior DOES impact who you are as a person an who you WERE as a person since you actually admitted to being involved in the video to verbally shove those slurs into a song with someone you clearly knew was racist.
I’m starting to notice an issue with your team in general where there is either the statements “I didn’t even do that!” or “I was just a stupid child at the time!” no matter how much older they truly were.

You state that you would “NEVER” validate this sort of humor by using your white prievalge to sneak your way out of fully confronting your behavior when you in fact DID find it funny and FULLY VOICED that rap song as the intent of a “parody” song.
Even if your white preivalege doesn’t want to make you admit that you actually found these things funny or knew that they were harmful but did it anyway…
