The basics of UX designing
Recently I started my journey of UX designing and here are some key points I covered in the first 6 days:
The UX Design Process Summarised
1) Understand
The first step involves understanding the goals of the company and the user requirements to come up with a possible roadmap combining these both. Probably a solution which lines up with the user requirement as well as draw out profit for the client company.
2) Research
The second step is to know the views of the user so that the user point of view and requirements can be outlined correctly. It can be done by talking to people who are a part of the target audience and know their perspective. It is not necessary to talk to mass but with few representatives form a particular group of people.
3) Analyse
The next important step is to analyse the collected data, sort it out and highlight what all points are of primary importance and what can be considered secondary. It can be done by making user personas and by making user journey maps.
4) Design
In this process one combines all the data collected and creates a wireframe of the required application accordingly so that, it fulfils the user requirements in the best way possible keeping the clients viewpoints into consideration.
5) Launch
The next step is to get the actual application prepared and launch it in the market for the people to actually use and give reviews on the final product. It is the most awaited and risky phase as one gets to know the real response from the people.
6) Analyse
Once the actual product is launched into the market, there is a huge inflow of responses, the responses can be expected or unexpected. If the response is not as expected then the next step will be to analyse the shortcomings and the points which were missed out or which caused the shortcoming and work upon them.
