it’s clear here. quiet. my breath is slow and even.

fresh visions and dank trepidations mix. inside my lungs.

the sun still reaches. warm on my face. thawing. bright.

dirty eyes turn on my place.

a cold expands within present satisfying solace.

they make parasites grow.

about where now sodden roots have taken hold.

in numbers. i drink it up. it’s killing me, my hidden place.
