Most of us adjusted ourselves for the appreciation of others—climbed the peak of everything to be the best, crawled down to the lowest of low to be reachable enough, stayed in the mid of air to be accessible enough, hoping that your adjustments would make you easier to love. But no one climbed after you and there's no one at the peak waiting for you. No one jumped down to the lowest of low to get to you. Nobody met you in half-way in the middle of life.

You were strong but made yourself look like a damsel to be rescued, or you are weak but had no choice to be strong to lessen the weight, scared to burden people. You've been big and small for the love of others. But baby, there's such requirement needed to be loved. You can be as mighty and high as the sky or as small as a ladybug crawling on the grounds of Earth, if a person loves you, that's it—that person loves you no matter how big or small you are.

Help a reader out 📚

I am only four chapters far on this book but I can’t bring myself to continue reading it, but I am badly curious. I asked friends who read it to spoil it for me but most of them said I need to suffer the way they did lol 😭

I think one of the reasons I couldn't continue is because I am already aware that this is tragic, I mean that's one of the main themes of the book. Also, dealing with grief is my biggest fear, and the characters in the book are dealing with it and it's too heavy for me. While I struggle to open this book again, I badly wanna know how it ends, so can someone convinceeeee me to finish this 😤😭

In honor of the first anniversary of The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, here's what I think about the ending. Lucy Gray Baird disappearing into the woods after she left Snow "to dig up some katniss," is a nice touch to the story that bridges TBOSAS to the Hunger Games trilogy. The fact that she said she'll dig for katniss and the story ends there, nicely connects to the start of the Hunger Games trilogy where we meet Katniss, who eventually became the face of the revolution and was the one to kill Snow. The way Suzanne Collins mind works is amazing!

Also the fans wondering about what happened to Lucy Gray's life (location and ending) after she left Snow on that lake was a mind blowing touch. There's no way Suzanne didn't do it on purpose, kind of like to let us, the readers, to feel what Snow felt all those years with no closure of their lovers-turned-to-enemies ending, and later meets someone who reminds him so much of Lucy, who happens to be the one to kill him.

The perfect day is when you get to wake up without that rushing flutters of worry within your chest. When coffee feels like a treat, not a concoction to ready your soul and brain for the daily tasks. When breakfast is a warm meal, not a reward. The perfect day is when you have enough time to sing in the shower and praise yourself in front of the mirror. When your soul is your closest friend, not something that you look for. When your brain is kind and loving, not some part of you that insists that the world is better off without you. The perfect day is when your heart is light and the surroundings look bright.

Its gaze was so curious, it made me wonder if it was a philosopher from its past life, I mean, Just look at its gaze, the spiders seems to have doubt me or something.

The jumping spider be like: "This bipedal specimen is documenting my existence. Is this an epistemological inquiry, or merely a superficial act of visual appropriation? Does the act of observation itself inherently alter the observed reality? And what, pray tell, is the ontological status of a photograph in relation to the subject it purports to represent?"

Mama Mallard started acting without hesitation. Mother Mallard started to feign a broken wing, quacking loudly like she was in distress, drawing the predator’s attention.T he fox, completely fooled, eagerly pursued the seemingly injured duck, its eyes fixated on its easy prey. Thus, the ducklings understood the assignment, they quickly paddled to safety among the reeds. Mama Mallard, cleverly leading the fox deeper and deeper into the marshland, eventually shook off her pursuer and rejoined her brood, relieved and slightly ruffled but ultimately victorious. It was a close call, but Mama Mallard proved that a mother's love, and a little bit of clever distraction, can overcome any challenge.
