Guys my obsession with HuckleRobby fanfiction has made any other fandom boring for me!!!!!!! No other fanfiction interests me anymore!!!! What are the solutions?!?! And why the hell in Robby not manhandling Whitaker in season 2?!?!
Craving a readathon to cure my reading slump
I’m in the worst reading slump of my life, just shoot me now
okay, let's be real: sometimes sci-fi feels like homework. but The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy is the literal opposite of that.
it’s basically just a British man in a dressing gown being extremely stressed while flying through space, and honestly? same.
reasons this is the ultimate "starter" book:
it’s short. like, "you can finish it before your laundry is done" short.
it’s genuinely hilarious. imagine the internet’s humor, but written in the 70s.
you will finally understand the "42" jokes.
you learn that a towel is the most useful object in the universe. (life-saving info, tbh).
if you’re trying to get back into reading but your attention span is currently the size of a teaspoon, i’ve got you.
i have my list of other amazing short novels for beginners over on my blog. no 600-page doorstops allowed. just the good stuff. 📖
current mood: id rather be hitchhiking through the galaxy than answering emails. #booklr #hitchhikers guide to the galaxy #douglas adams #sci fi #reading slump #short books #book aesthetic #don't panic #42 #reading list #bibliophile
On a brighter note: I'm reading again. What a joy! My Kindle had missed me! 📚
