The sudden need for caffeine prompted Hiraya to head to a cafe instead of going home after a long day at work and, unsurprisingly, she was stopped on the way inside by both the paparazzi and some fans. That has been part of her routine at this point in her career, but that wasn't the case for the familiar face who spoke to her. "Ay, I do. It is one of the best and unfortunately also one of the worst parts of the job. How are you liking it?"
daisy wasn't sure how to answer the question. part of her loved it because it meant that she finally getting somewhere in her career, that people were recognizing her and wanting to take pictures with her but the other part of her worried that it was all fleeting, that they would move on to the next thing soon enough. "i guess...i'm liking being recognized because it means i'm doing something right but i just wonder...how long is this going to last, you know? but i mostly like it. i'm really grateful for the support."
the femme remained unfazed by the others attitude , knowing better than to take it personally , and knowing well enough that any sort of snide retort would only add fuel to the fire . and while it could be argued that stacey was here out of the goodness of her cold heart , she didn't wish to make matters any more challenging for herself than they already were . " one more drink " she countered in return , arms folding over her chest in a feeble attempt to shelter herself from the evening breeze , " and then we go . "
one more drink was exactly the kind of thing aurelia was hoping to hear. she was sure once she got stacey one more drink, she could get her to take more and more with her. she needed that kind of distraction to avoid dealing with the void she felt inside. " okay , fine . you used to be so much more fun . " she says with a slight pout of her lips.
It was unlike Elizabeth to show up in parties like this, but her mother advised her that trying it out might help her make up for all the time that she failed to do things just because she wanted to. A few drinks in and she was starting to understand the reason behind the surprising advice. It was refreshing to let go of who she was supposed to be at the door and just enjoy herself. It was still overwhelming though so she decided to get some air. While doing that, she ended up staring blankly into space for a bit and it dawned on her that to those around, she might have been staring at them. That seemed to be the case for the brunette who spoke to her. "My apologies for the prolonged stare. I was lost in my thoughts."
when elizabeth apologized, aurelia deep down felt bad. she knew what it was like to get lost in her thoughts. more than she'd like to admit to anyone, even herself. she doesn't want to come off as sympathetic, though, because that's not who the media thought she was. so instead she decides to go on the attack. "lost in your thoughts at a party? what's your deal? don't you want to be having fun or something? or is that like...an entirely foreign concept to you?"
The party scene was something that Hiraya was not a stranger to so being in such a scene and enjoying herself while being responsible is something that she's gotten the hang of. It's for that reason that her PR manager does not attempt to stop her from spending her nights like this anymore. She was on her way to the bar when her eyes landed on him. It wasn't the first time it happened that night, not when he seemed to not be enjoying himself. It was the first time that she approached him with the hopes of changing that though. "Ah, that makes sense! What are you drinking then? And more importantly, would you like some new company?"
bash was excited to meet someone new. he recognized hiraya but he had never gotten to know her. not really, at least. he was always down for making new connections so when she asked him what he was drinking, he held up his cup and said, "just water for now but i'd love some company." he gave her a small smile and added, "i'm bash, by the way. short for sebastian but everyone just calls me bash for the most part."
" ––––– when love becomes an obsession with a character , then no . more so when a camera is shoved in front of your face whenever you get out . " he explained , it wasn't a new tendency of the musician . the social anxiety that came with it , it was one of the main reasons that kept carter in his corner . " they don't care about you , they don't care about you being famous or not . and how that will give them more likes on their social media . "
daisy needed to be hit with the hard truth, that the people asking for pictures didn't care about her on a personal level. but it still hurt to hear, nonetheless. she was still grateful for the fan but maybe she should be discerning about who she says yes to when people ask for a picture. for all she knew, they were making fun of her and how she had fallen from grace in the christian contemporary music scene. " i'll keep that it mind. " she nods, trying not to think of the fact that someone could be making fun of her at this very moment. " i guess i'm just excited that someone recognized me because that hasn't happened in a while. "
louis smiled as he looked at daisy giving into taking a picture with some fans , he was happy he wasn't as recognizable as his sisters , considering he wasn't a heartthrob like some people thought he should have been . " ahh not really . " he said with a smile as he shook his head . " out of the albrecht family , i am the least recognizable . " he jokes . " but you seem quite glad from your current status . "
daisy was surprised when one of the albrechts said that he wasn't used to getting approached, considering how famous that family was. "hey, i recognized you!" she said with a laugh. "and yeah, i guess...it's nice to still have people still on your side after, you know..." her voice trails off, feeling weird about talking the scandal, if you could even call it that, out loud.
to celebrate her new album coming out , mia went out with some friends -- celebrating the big moment . she's been working really hard on that album and seeing how well it has been doing since it came out was truly a dream come true for her . her friends took her to this party and have been giving her drinks all throughout the night , so it's safe to say she was already fairly intoxicated . she was at the bar with two of her friends and one of them had offered bash a drink . " i'm so sorry . " she immediately apologized and giggled . " i'm sorry if they made you uncomfortable . they tend to offer everyone drink every time we go out . " she shook her head lightly as she took a quick glance at her friends .
bash is the kind of person who likes to go to parties because he likes to meet new people but he doesn't like to party hard. he wasn't opposed to having fun like some of his costars thought but he just wasn't the kind of person to go wild at parties. that's why it made sense for him to be the designated driver. that, and it made him feel useful and like he was helping people which was what he always wanted to do. he was appreciative of mia's words. "that's okay. thank you. i just...i don't need drinks to have fun, you know?" he tries to explain but he's sure he's the only one who feels that way in this club.
It seemed like the drinks at this rowdy shindig were watered the fuck down or Freddie's tolerance had increased; either way, she was disappointed that the coherent buzz she had been enduring hadn't broken through the mold into euphoric oblivion. Maybe a another round, or three or four, of tequila shots would do the trick. The path back inside was suddenly obstructed by the petite black-haired bombshell stumbling past. A subtle impression of gallantry had Freddie's eyes following her movements, just to be certain she'd be alright on her own. Subsequently her attention rose to her pretty features, and admittedly, she was momentarily stunned…until she digested the cheeky greeting.
"Wow, okay. She's spicy," she huffed out a laugh, uncertain if she felt insulted or entertained by the unwarranted hostility. "Well I was going to tell say you looked hot, smokin' honestly…" With an angled head, Freddie furrowed his brows. "….but then you opened your mouth. Having a bad night, babe," she drawled, her tone laced with apathy.
she's spicy, aurelia liked that characterization of herself because it meant she was doing something right. she was supposed to be the wild party girl who was spicy. it was like she was playing her part perfectly. and she couldn't help but feel accomplished in her own right for being able to fool everyone, including freddie. aurelia honestly felt like shit in the moment and quite honestly just wanted to go home and cry, but that wasn't really an option, was it? so she had to stay out and keep up the same facade. when freddie suggested that she was having a bad night, she worried that maybe the facade wasn't working so well anymore. maybe freddie could see right through her act. quick, she thought, be even meaner to her so she doesn't catch onto you.
"you don't have to tell me that i look hot, i already know." this much was true, for whatever insecurities aurelia had, her appearance had never been one of them. she was told she was beautiful throughout her entire life. but if aurelia were truly being herself, she would've told freddie that she was flattered and probably flirted a bit. "i'm actually having a great night. or i was until some annoying blonde lady showed up."
" ––––– usually , i support that but this , " manicured digits lift the glass in her hand . " this is a limited - edition drink and is rumored to be crafted with incredibly aged liquor , but it's their last one . " she murmured to her newfound companion , wry smile touched her lips as she brought the glass up . " and besides , it's only a drink you can still be the designated uber caller "
bash normally would refused again but something about gigi was persuasive and made him rethink his stance. maybe one drink wouldn't hurt. plus, she was right, there was always uber. he just agreed to be the designated driver because it was his usual role. " i suppose i could try one if it's the last one. " he says, taking the drink from her. he took a sip from the glass. " oh my god, this is actually really good. "
Why the fuck did I come here when Dante literally is no where to be found. I'll skin that boy's ass I swear...
Her inner monologue rattled regrettable against her last nerve; she pushed through the swaying bodies towards the dwindling light that soaked the floor from the agape doorway. Afia would make good on her mental threats once she got a fresh gush of air to clear the noxious scent of whatever knock off cologne that clung to her nostrils. Like a shimmery blur, the woman cross her path in a hurried escape. Afia wouldn't have thought anything of it but the flapping fabric of her dress hanging on by a thread. Her voice was swallowed by the partygoers. Afia followed through the narrowly closing door and patched together some discreet way to tell her. What she didn't anticipate was the stiff retort. "...um..yeah. You're totally right about pictures lasting long than the gawking. It's been more an objective gawking.." she stumbled through the lump in her throat. "..the closure of your dress is broken. You're one stiff wind from being disrobed... which is your right. Free the nipple and all that jazz but I don't sense that's the vibe tonight."
aurelia couldn't help but feel stupid when she heard the reason for afia's staring. a normal person would've apologized and asked for help. and aurelia probably would've done that too if she didn't have a reputation to uphold. instead she just muttered, "fuck" under her breath. she took a deep breath, trying to think of a way to remedy this situation. asking for help would make her seem weak and she never wanted to appear that way. so instead she decided to demand that afia help her. "you, you have a sewing kit or something? fix it."
" ––––– they know better than to request a picture with me . " he has made himself ambulant clear about it , he'd chat with them even but most likely to deny a picture . " you are young , you will get it . eventually . "
" aren't you grateful that they want a picture with you? that they love you that much? " daisy asks, full of naivety. she couldn't imagine not being grateful for something like that. " i wish i had people asking me for pictures all the time, honestly. but no one really cares about little old me right now. "
" uh ... keep the attitude in check , babe " a simple telling off which lacked any real malice , knowing her friend well enough than to take her swipe personally , " i'm only staring because i'm concerned . you look out of your fucking face " and honestly , stacey shouldn't continue to condone her self destruction by agreeing to go to these parties with her . but any attempt to offer different forms of solace or distraction went unwelcome , and the femme wouldn't want her to attend alone . " you sure you don't wanna just call it a night ? i can get someone to pick us up , we can head back to mine and chill for a bit . "
aurelia was concerned when stacey said she was concerned. maybe she was letting too much of her real self show and she didn't want that to ever happen. even with someone like stacey, who was one of her closer friends, she always had to keep her at a distance. she could never fully let the other in. it was sad, really, that aurelia felt the need to cover up her true feelings. " i look out of my fucking face ? " aurelia raised an eyebrow, almost as if to say who do you think you're talking to. but stacey was right. and as much as aurelia would've loved to call it a night, she knew she couldn't. she had to chase the adrenaline rush again. " no way , we're staying out and getting fucked up . "

aurelia was the kind of person who went into parties with the intention of getting in some sort of scandal. there was an adrenaline rush from getting into the headlines for all the wrong reasons. also, it meant getting a call from mom and dad which was always a plus. but once the adrenaline rush ended, she was left with the same emptiness. outside of this party, she was feeling that ache that she could never seem to get rid of. but she couldn't let anyone know that's how she was feeling so instead she lashed out. "take a picture, it'll last longer," she said to the person staring at her.

bash was not the type to usually go out to clubs and party, but his costars had dragged him to yet another party. it's not like he didn't like parties but he didn't necessarily like partying. he just found fun in other ways. he promised to be the designated driver tonight because someone had to do it and it might as well be him. that's the kind of person he was, always looking out for everyone else except for himself. "oh no, thank you, i'm the dd," he said to someone who asked if he wanted to get a drink. "but thanks for the offer, i appreciate it!"

daisy wasn't used to being recognized in public. she wasn't the biggest name yet and most of her fans had abandoned her when she was shunned by the christian contemporary music scene. but some of them must've stuck by her side because they had just asked her for a picture. "sure! i'd love to take a picture!" she says with a smile, grateful. as soon as the picture is taken and the fan leaves, daisy takes a deep breath. "you must get that kind of thing all of the time," she says to someone she recognizes.
angel found himself frowning at the answer to other gave, and whilst it would make him a huge hypocrite given the company he had kept over the years, he made a mental note to tell stacey to get better friends the next time that he saw her. "yea that." he nodded like she should have known better. "you mean my team all currently watching you?" angel asked as he glanced back to the group of men that look increasingly amused with the interaction. "sure babes, let me know if you need me to kneel."
aurelia talked a big game but when it came down to it, angel was right. she couldn't do any real damage to anyone besides herself. she was known for getting into fights in the media but never with someone of angel's stature. knowing she was going to lose, she huffed, "fine! i'll spare you my wrath just this once."
