hi operationship, this isn’t a normal ask like it should be. i just feel you could post this to let fellow eyekons know. recently, daniela’s father made comments on manon’s hiatus news… “THE SHOW MUST GO ON ! With or without a member . KATSEYE IS BIGGER THAN ONE GIRL ." he is getting so much backlash from this and i don’t know if i should see this as a mean/hateful comment, or a positive/continue moving on comment… they way my mom and i took it was in a hateful way… as if he was hating on manon for taking a break from the group. again, i could be wrong and may have read it incorrectly…

whether or not dani's dad meant well - we truly hope from the bottom of our hearts that he only meant it as a moving on comment, though with the more recent info we have seen him post, it is highly unlikely - KATSEYE IS OT6. katseye would not be katseye without manon, nor would it be the same group without sophia, yoonchae, lara, megan, or dani missing, as they have said in the past themselves. we can't guess what is happening right now, so we're only hoping for the best, whatever that may be.
remember, the point is to interact with people you haven't before! don't just post and dip- check the #ship it QOTW tag and see if anyone had any answers that interest you. your hear me outs so far sure are interesting...

almost 100 reblogs is crazy 😭 but the more the merrier!! the first #QOTW will begin this friday, but for now, we want to lay out how it works:
you are split up into groups of 3 (~30 users per group as we are limited the # of asks per hour)
on friday, you will receive the first question in your inbox. some may be from @operationship, some may be anonymous (from our personal accounts), but ALL WILL BE SIGNED OFF WITH "⚓️ operationship"
we will send 1 group per hour, e.g. group 1 @ 5 pm, group 2 @ 6 pm, group 3 @ 7 pm, but you have an infinite amount of time to answer it. this is all for fun, so once again, if you want to answer the question, go for it! and if you don't, just pass on that week :)
when you're done answering your question and putting the tag, check #ship it QOTW to see what other users replied and leave a comment or two!

the three of us have been here since the sis era, so we can back up how much it hurts to see the decline of community on here. we've seen many of your posts and don't want to repeat everything again, but:
1) if it's not kind, don't say it (we'd classify this as logic rather than kindness, but some anons don't seem to have either)
2) if you see something, SPEAK UP!! it's the worst feeling to think you're alone & it never hurts to just voice your thoughts
3) respect above all else: mutual respect and support is what ties us all together, so please, let's not mess this all up even further
4) you writers are not obligated to be nice when receiving rude or straight up disrespectful messages in your inbox. matter of fact, you aren't obligated to answer that bs at all. but if you do, stand up to yourself and don't let a word of what they're saying get into your head. YOU are amazing and the reason why many of us are still on here. we want to read your stuff, we want to hear what you're saying, and most of all, we need you here.
with all that said, we can confidently say we know that none of these projects are going to save katzblr. ...though it is nice to see friendshipgames, ka, and many others take initiative, just us by ourselves won't make a difference at all. to fix a community, it has to be a communal effort, so we are hoping we can all make a change before we lose more of our favorite writers.
it's better late than never, so let's all work for the better :)

what a plot twist, am i right. but our objective was never to play matchmaker and cupid with real humans—that's parasocial, and frankly, a little weird 😭 we also didn't want to upset anyone or cause confusion and drama. so why'd we even put in so much effort and do all this? well, you know what other word also has ship in it? 🤔

so as cringey as this sounds, that was our big mastermind of a plan. recently, katzblr's been declining—our favorite authors deactivating, anons being weird and awfully rude, negativity starting to creep in, and a lot of people doing their own thing in separate corners. it's easy to feel alone on here, even when you're surrounded by incredible writers and people.
on a separate note, we've recently viewed the mess going on within katzblr. remember, at the end of the day, everyone is a person behind their user so no matter when, who, why, or where you're interacting, make sure you treat people with basic respect. we're sending out love and well wishes to those who have deactivated recently or have decided to put their work on pause until things settle down. let's try our best to end 2025 on a good note without the drama and hate.
we wanted to switch that up, especially right before christmas. the premise of "shipping" was perfect cause it created immediate intrigue and confusion and almost a shared secret/inside joke between you guys. this was the fastest, most fun way we could think of to bring you guys together and also where the majority of you would be on board.
in the first week or so, we wanted to keep you guys curious and on your toes so you'd talk among yourself, curious about what on earth ship it week is. then, our goal was to ease into the new interactions, soft launching, one could say, by getting you guys to reply to each others responses.
maybe you dm'd someone going "THAT was your first fandom?" or "I LOVE THAT SONG TOO" except it wasn't a maybe—we watched that happen! then we got you guys to tag moots you haven't really interacted with much and our final step was pushing you guys to talk to each other on your own.
there was a lot of progress! during our week 3 and 4 asks, there were so many more interactions and comments on your answers compared to week 1 😊💗

so we weren't trying to find you a girlfriend (sorry!). we were trying to find you friends, or at least give you a reason to talk to the cool writer you've been mutuals with forever but were too shy to slide up on. and maybe, even give your anons a reason to talk to you!
the lesson here isn't about romance (sorry again). we hope you take away the fact that we're all strong when we're connected, whether it's lifting each other up with something as simple as a 'hey', supporting someone's work, sending an ask on a bad day, and mostly when we remember that there's a real person behind every url. kindness is free!
the operation is over now, but your friendships aren't! if you found someone here, keep talking to them. if you're ever feeling down or alone, remember you have a whole group of people now who know what you're about.
don't be a silent interacter—you never know how much a small comment, reblog, like, or ask could mean to someone. after all, tumblr's a lot less of a lonely place with discussions and connection. and don't be scared to get to know people either 😊, i bet a lot of you didn't know you had so much in common!
we hope you're a little less scared of approaching your moots (to be honest, we were pretty nervous too) and also we start of 2026 fresh and positive and it carries on through the rest of the year. we can't wait to see what you have planned!
