Farah sighed and shook her head. âSeriously, youâre barking up the wrong tree. I really donât know what you expect to accomplish here but it wonât happen,â she shrugged. If anything this whole pain conversation just made the nephilim want to go home and curl up with a book instead of be out here with all these people.
-
âJust a bit of fun. You should try it some time.â Ophelia turned the knob to the door, peering into the darkness for an idea as to what lay beyond. It was ridiculously dark- almost unnaturally so. That was only good for certain situations. She closed the door, turning her attention back to the nephilim. âSo were you always this cautious or did someone hurt you?â It had to be the latter. No one could be this dull by default.Â
frccdxmâ:
Farah rolled her eyes, the demon before her was everything she grew up being told all demons were like, which was disappointing. âDonât waste your time, or mine. Iâm nephilim, we have no need to indulge.â Though the thought of someone considering pain an indulgence was still preposterous to her. âBesides, not everyone has the same guilty pleasures, you might want to rethink your tactic with other people. Pain isnât everyoneâs thing.â
âHow boring.â Ophelia rolled her eyes. No wonder the goody-two-shoes didnât want to have any fun. Daddy Lu taught her what a lie the whole goodness was. It was one of the many lies to keep others complacent. Even the humans had to see that, yet the neph always wanted to do good. âPain can be fun. Experimentation is my cup of tea. Iâm guessing that you havenât even taken a sip yet.â She grinned, stopping her pacing. âLet me guess: life is too spicy for you.âÂ
nicholasxturnerâ:
The corner of his lips turn up into a playful smirk when he feels her hand reach for his face, her playful words bouncing right off his own and he couldnât help but chuckle softly. âNow thereâs a challenge.â He begins before the feel of her lips gliding over his steals all his attention and his gaze drops to them while she sits back, not allowing him to easily close the gap. âYou can be as cruel as you like with me.â The hand on the back of her chair moves until itâs draped over the other side, the wolf leaning closer so her shoulder was under his arm. âYouâre spoiling me enough already.â Nickâs other hand comes up and he draws his finger under her chin as he takes in her beautiful features.Â
-
Her lips quirked, picturing all the possibilities that the night held with an equally exciting morning to follow. âA challenge that I hope you are up for.â Her other hand dropped from the table to move up his thigh. âOh baby, if you keep looking at me with those puppy dog eyes, I canât be cruel to you. I can only be very, very, very nice.â With each word her hand traveled further up his leg. Ophelia always was shameless, not caring that she was almost sitting on his lap by the time he pulled her chair just that tiny bit closer to his own. âI only have one more question.â She batted her lashes at him.Â
âYou should mind it.â Ophelia adored being the center of anyoneâs world. Not everyone was made for such a charmed existence, but there should be at least a moment when Annie could shine. âWhat you need is a makeover!â Her eyes lit up, already planning a little shopping trip where she would treat Annie as a doll in the name of bringing her inner beauty out. New shoes were always a step in the right direction. A new underthings to get her to feel sexy. Then the makeup- oh Ophelia had plans for that. A bold lip so people actually paid attention to what people said. Sheâd need to make a few phone calls, but it would be worth it... for Annie of course.Â
Phe rolled her eyes, clicking her tongue. âConsider it the beginning of your journey.â She pushed the colorful drink forwards again. A cosmo was classic for a reason, but it was boring. Annie needed to expand her pallet. âTrust me, itâs good. Unless you want to do shots. Iâm always ready for shots.âÂ
"A makeover?" Annie asked, breaking out into a joyous laugh that was almost like a song, and she waved her hand, "What's wrong with what I'm wearing?!" She asked, looking down at her yellow sundress, "I like wearing yellow." The nephilim added in, almost frowning at the statement. Plus, a makeover would draw attention to her that she really didn't want, "Why don't we just go shopping for you?" She then offered with a smile, "Doesn't that sound so much better?" It sounded like a real great idea to her.
Her gaze shifted back towards the drink that Ophelia was offering her again and she sighed softly, grabbing it, "What is it? I don't really like alcohol much..." Annie added in, swirling the drink around. She immediately giggled at the mention of shots and shook her head, "I've never done a shot in my life, sweetie. I don't think now is the time to start." It had been by choice, not because she didn't have the option to do so. She didn't want to let the Paladinus down... or any of the other nephilim really. And shots just sounded like a slippery slope.
The potential had her giddy. Annie's style was rather sweet, but she knew that there was so much more behind those angelic curls and modest dresses. Of course she couldn't simply shove her straight into leather and lace, but she'd ease Annie into something that she could be just the slightest bit uncomfortable in. Just a little something to show off the curves that Annie was hiding. "Nothing, but we need to boost your confidence. Connect you with your inner goddess." Red lipstick was needed desperately. "We can both go shopping." She did have one of her many sugar daddy's credit cards to pay.
Phe pouted, shaking the glass so that the ice cubes rattled. "Just a little something to loosen you up. You always think so poorly of me." For good reason did Annie think the worse. She knew Ophelia oh so well. Still there should be enough fruit juice to hide the taste of alcohol within. The brunette gasped, holding a hand to her heart. "Never ever?! We need to change that. Tell me do you little pretty boys or girls? Shots are always better with a chaser of a kiss." And licking the liquor off of a willing participant.

Her head tilted at the others comment, unsure how to take it. Annie's gaze shifted down towards the drink that was being pushed towards her and immediately she shrugged, "I don't mind being secondary." Annie admitted with a smile, "There's far more entertaining people out there who deserve the spotlight or the...'main character' spot, as you said." She laughed, "I get nervous with too many eyes on me, anyway."
Annie knew the drink she would always get and whatever was being pushed towards her was not it, "What is this?" She asked, tilting her head a bit, "I always get one Cosmopolitan." Pause, "Sometimes two if I'm feeling really spunky." She giggled.

Normally, Farah was always kind and polite, even in response to rude interactions. But today she still dealt with the remnants of withdrawal and she was already more easily prone to irritability. âActually, it isnât,â she stated bluntly. âFeel free to live your life however you choose, but you have no right to judge anyone else for how they live theirs,â she replied with furrowed brow, her hand reaching up to rub at the faded bite marks on her neck. âI trust that you have no idea what itâs like to have a mortal lifespan, do you? If you did, you would know better.â
She chuckled, shaking her head. âIâm not judging. Iâm a helper. I help people find their true selves. I find joy in it.â In exchange for their souls, but that was neither her nor there. This once, Ophelia was willing to give her a freebie. This woman clearly needed to get in touch with her more sinful self. âAll the more reason for you to indulge! You only have a finite amount of time on this earth.âÂ
How does your character think of their father? What do they hate and love about him? What influence - literal or imagined - did the father have?
I don't have a father so to speak. I do have big Daddy Lu. I adore him, and know that I'm his favorite even if he doesn't say it. He's such a sweetie like that. He doesn't like causing any rift between my siblings and I. He's also big on freedom and self-indulgence. I couldn't have asked for a better teacher. If you are asking about my sugar daddy, I'm still taking applications.
nicholasxturnerâ:
Nick was easily lead and as soon as Ophelia leant forward, his eyes dropped down for a glance and the corner of his lips turns up into a smirk when he looks back up at her. âIâm all ears, unless youâre more of a visual teacher.â The wolf moves a little closer and his fingers play along the back of her chair when she finally introduces herself. âI hope the pleasure wonât just be all mine, Ophelia.â He flashes her a wink as he feels her leg press against his, his body turning to face her now. âPlease tell me you donât have to rush off into the sunset soon and break my heart.âÂ
-
Ophelia desired so much more than his soul. Nick was such a delicious young thing with the golden boy good looks and golden retriever energy. She wanted this one to stay by her side for a long while. She leaned in, cupping his face to look deep into his eyes. âOh honey, I am open for any position you are.â Her lips brushed just against Nicholasâ in a tease of a kiss before sitting back. âI would never be so cruel to you. In fact, I was already planning on making you breakfast.â Where they would have breakfast didnât matter to her as much as getting his attention all night.
frccdxmâ:
âI have no problem being vanilla,â Farah frowned at the way the woman implied it to be a negative thing. She sighed and shook her head. âIâm perfectly happy with my safe life, it isnât a concern of yours. I happen to enjoy contentment and comfort, thanks.â She knew she wasnât the most exciting person in calamity, but it wasnât like she had a long enough life span to ever be bored of her life. Feeling safe and loved was all she really needed.
-
âAugh.â Her nose curled in disgust at how Farah passed judgement on something that she clearly knew nothing about. Vanilla was such a boring way of viewing the world. It was accepting things simply as they were rather than challenging the way that things could be. âComfort, please. That is the little lie that they feed the masses to keep them content.â Ophelia danced closer to the next door, fingernails taping the knob. This one or the next? Oh they were all appealing.Â

Annie was sweet- too sweet. If she weren't so good to Ophelia, the demon would cry toothache. When was the last time that Annie did something selfish. She deserved to sin just a little bit. She needed to get in touch with that oh so delicious darker side. What was the point in living in Calamity without partaking in the joys that were freely offered? It was time for Annie to step it up.
"Cause life is easier when you know that you are the main character." Her ruby lips split revealing her teeth. "So stop being secondary in your own life, dear." She handed her a drink far stronger than the one that Annie originally requested. It was Ophelia's job to drag Annie out of the shadows whether she wanted to go willingly or not.

Roryâs gaze shifted back and forth when she said she went to Hell. That wasâŚunexpected. âUhâŚwhat?â He asked with a laugh, âReally? Like The Hell?â Why did he think that was a myth? Rory wasnât known for his smarts, that was for sure. There wasnât a day that went by when someone said ânothing but air in that pretty head of yoursâ to him. And for a while, he just thought they were being funny but as he got older, it made more sense. Rory really wasnât that bright. But that was okay. He was fun and entertaining and thatâs all he could really ask for, right? RightâŚ
âYou probably did! Two decades is a long time to be gone!â Rory exclaimed with a laugh. Hearing her next question, he couldnât help but widen his eyes a bit and took another swig of his drink before he finally answered, âUh, yeah! That would be fun! I warn you now though, Iâm not the best guide. Iâm pretty new to this whole thing.â He laughed a bit sheepishly, âBut Iâm always willing to try! What do you want to see?!â
-
What a sweet little baby boy. Ophelia knew that he was an innocent the moment that he approached, but she hadnât realized just how divine he was. Taking his soul would be all too easy, but that would take away the fun of toying with the pretty boy. âThe Hell.â She smiled, red lips spreading wide. âSky Daddy doesnât like my kind, but the prettiest fallen angel adores me.â Not that she needed to reveal just which sort of demon she was. Let him figure out who it was that Ophelia spoke of. As much as sheâd enjoyed her little homecoming, there were aspects of the world above calling to her.Â
The brunette nodded, turning serious for a moment, leaning forward. She placed her hand atop his. âIt was soooo long.â Her lips pouted, eyes widening as she gave him her best pretty please eyes. He would take pity on her. He already had by deciding to drink with her. âI want you to show me everything.âÂ
frccdxmâ:
Farah furrowed her brows, confusion written all over her face. âThere is nothing fun about pain,â she countered, thinking only those who could quickly heal from it would find anything amusing about it. Her expression soured as she continued to listen to the woman speak, she couldnât imagine where the other was coming from. âThe joy of living kind of implies staying alive, something I do plan to do for a long time. If you enjoy risking your life then by all means, but Iâm perfectly happy not nearly dying every day.âÂ
-
Clicking her tongue, Ophelia rolled her eyes. âSo vanilla.â Poor girl probably never had any adventurous lovers. Really it was such a shame when one did not indulge fully in all delights that life had to offer. âPlease, that is just existing. Living is done through action. Inaction means that you are letting things pass you by.â She examined one door after another, fingers running along each, shiver going down her spine at the second. âYou have no idea how many exciting opportunities have already passed you by.â
leapoffaithxâ:
He watched with eager eyes as she popped the champagne and laughed quietly. Rory had heard about people doing that but he had never seen it. At least, not that he could remember. And Rory certainly hadnât drank it before. How entertaining. His fingertips wrapped around the glass as she spoke and his head tilted a bit, âTwo decades?â He asked. That was like nothing for a Fae. Practically a blink of an eye. But, he did recognize that it was a rather long time when you thought about it logically. Twenty years, âWhereâd you go?!â He asked suddenly, his eyes wide, âWhyâd you come back? Did you miss it here?â Rory was a natural Chatty Kathy and a curious cat. Both of which were never good mixed together but that was fine, âIâm happy to celebrate though! This will be fun.â He laughed.
-
The bubbles floated to the surface, amber liquid sparkling in the low light of the club. Sheâd missed the simpler pleasures of having a chilled glass of champagne with the temperature down below always melting her ice. âTo Hell.â Grinning she lifted her glass as if to toast her true home. It was a joke with how terrible the conditions could be at points, but there was something about going home that made a person appreciate what they had. âI did miss it here, although I feel like I missed out on so much.â She leaned forward, happy that her current companion kept the conversation going rather than leaving the moment that he knew what she was. âWould you care to be my guide to the city?â Â
frccdxmâ:
Farah frowned at the tone the woman used when speaking to her, the one thing that bothered her most was people seeing optimism or kindness as naivete. And with everything she had just been through, she was still very much on edge. âIt might be a celebration, but no one has to sign a contract saying they wonât hurt others while they are here, do they?â she pointed out. âSome of us have reasons to be afraid,â she sighed. She then glanced at the three doors that stood before them, having read what was on them already. âI donât think I will, none of them look without consequencesâŚIâd rather stay outside of them and catch up with people who pass by.â
-
âSomeone never had fun with pain.â She was probably utterly vanilla about how she lived her life too. Someone who wanted to see only the good and talked about the past like it was some ideal was someone who didnât have a life worth talking about. Did no one know how to have fun any more? Whatever it was that she was afraid of couldnât be as bad as being bored. Boredom was the plight of their age. âConsequences are so passĂŠ. Things happen. Nothing to do about it other than experience them. Soak it all up. Itâs the joie de vivre!âÂ
nicholasxturnerâ:
Nickâs casual smile remains as his eyes travel down to the hand twirling her hair around her finger, flicking his gaze back up to her gorgeous features when she begins to speak. âRight? Iâll have to find a way to make the night up for you.â The wolfâs puts down his drink and quickly forgets it as he asks him to join her properly. Nik slides into the seat next to her, his arm draping over the back of her chair while he leans back in his own. âNow why does that sound like something I canât miss out on?â He smirks. âIâm Nick.â
-
âI have some suggestions.â She grinned, leaning forward to put her assets fully on display. Hell was home, but it had been impossible to have the same fun the demon could up here. The souls were far more delicious when still alive. Her eyes drank in the way that his arms bulged slightly, settling behind her. She licked her lips, admiring the subtle way that he strained his shirt. Sheâd love to see what lay just beneath. âA pleasure, Nick. Iâm Ophelia.â She practically purred, moving until her leg was flush with his own.Â
