a couple of nights ago my sweet dog maisy went into labor, she gave birth to five puppies, Charles, Memphis, Rollie, Opal, and Sylvie. Unfortunately Charles, Memphis, and Sylvie all passed but i had found myself in an art rut as of late and this piece i made to commemorate them has really helped pull me out of it. Rollie and Opal are both thriving and i have so much faith in them to be strong healthy babies. I am so proud of the three that passed for fighting as hard as they did, especially little Sylvie. I am also so proud of my baby Maisy for being a strong mama and being so protective over little rollie and opal.

i also just wanted to add that it is so important to spay and neuter your pets, we were at the vet two weeks before we realized she was pregnant asking about having her spayed. our vet could not fit her into the schedule before she would’ve been due otherwise we would have spay aborted.
