I saw a little offhand comment that mentioned Dr. Sato being trans, so I knew that bit before watching her little bonus interview, but can I just say?

I love love love that little moment of melancholy about how the majority of trans people pass now. Not framing it as a bad thing or a good thing, but a shift in a community that would come with some complicated emotions. And I adore that.

I've seen fantasy or scifi worlds that mention trans affirming care being easier, but this is the first time I've ever seen that sort of exploration of what complicated feelings would come from even what seems like such a purely joyful change on the surface. And even for such a small moment in a short little bit of bonus content, it was poignant.
