Can someone please help? Everytime I go into tab mode, all the furniture in the house I'm working on disappears! It either shows the windows and floors with nice textures but no furniture, or no furniture and really bad floors and windows like in the top pictures.
Anyone else had this problem?
A vignette I made for a contest.
They're practically sisters already. <3
The sky was lit up in a beautiful aurora the night the Harrington sisters finally moved in to their homes in Spellport. It wasn't the first time they had been there, but it was the first night they would spend on the lovely island, and neither of the girl's could seem to stop staring out the window at the unobstructed sky.
It was beautiful in the daytime, as well, which was one of the reasons they'd originally been drawn to the island - the view was spectacular, and it was a small, slowly growing community. They'd visited many times before, travelling on boats across from their hometown of Brightholt to oversee the movement of their furniture and to examine the houses they had designed and built for them. With Paige's expertise and Peyton's creativity, it wasn't hard to design a nice blueprint that would work for both of them. It was very quiet and relaxing to be in Spellport, but now that they were actually here for good, an air of nervousness had settled on the girls.
"I really love how you decorated your place, Paige." Peyton smiled, glancing around at the bookshelves and comfy chairs. "It suits you."
"I could say the same about your's." Paige replied, and the two shared a laugh. They'd helped each other pick out furniture and put everything all together. Now that their project was complete, the one they'd been working on all year together, neither of them really knew what to do. They'd always had something to discuss, but now that it was here and done, neither knew what to say. What would they do with their time now?
Peyton was really worried about what would happen next, and wanted to voice her fears, but was afraid Paige would think it was silly. She couldn't contain herself, though. "Paige, what are we going to do now?"
"Well, I figured tomorrow we could go meet our new neighbors. Get to know the people here." Paige said, drawing the curtains over the window to her right.
"No, I mean, like, after that? What are we going to do all day? There's not much to do around here. Won't we get bored? Will we be lonely? What are we going to do?" Peyton asked, following behind her.
"You're right, there isn't much to do. But we still have each other! You'll practice your painting, I'll practice my writing. We came out here to get away from everything, the hustle and bustle, you know? And it's not like we're totally alone. We have a couple neighbors." Paige said, adjusting the rug beneath their feet.
"I know, it's just..." Peyton sighed, running her hands through her bangs. "It's a lot to take in."
"Peyton, you're an adult, you know. You can handle this. Heck, you probably don't even need me here!" Paige smiled and laughed. "Why don't you just get through the first night and take it from there? Now, I don't want to see you running over to my house every single day. I need some privacy, which is why I moved out here too, okay?" She laughed awkwardly.
"But... Paige, but, what if I get l-lonely?" Peyton choked out, starting to tear up. The darkness outside was starting to look menacing, and there was hardly anyone on the island, and she was scared and wanted to go back to her home in Brightholt.
"Oh, goodness, Peyton! Don't cry, please, it's okay." Paige said quickly, grabbing her sister's shoulders. "I was just joking. Trying to lighten the mood. Hey, don't cry, look at me. You're fine."
Peyton nodded as Paige smiled at her. "Mom and Dad wouldn't have let us move out here if they didn't think we could handle it. We're strong and smart and capable. We have each other. And if you ever need anything, I'm right across the sidewalk. Okay?"
Peyton nodded again, sniffing. The two girls hugged, standing there in the middle of Paige's new house, scared and excited for the future. Their parents were just a boat ride away, but it seemed too far away to them.
"Do you think we're gonna be okay?" Peyton asked quietly as they let go.
Paige smiled and grabbed Peyton's hand. "We're gonna be fine." They smiled at each other. "Now, I want you to go home and up to your bedroom and set your alarm for 10'o'clock. When you wake up, get dressed and come over, and then we'll go visit the neighbors. Maybe I'll make them breakfast!"
Peyton burst out laughing, and Paige frowned. "What?"
"Sorry, Paige, but your cooking skills aren't exactly top-notch." Peyton giggled, wiping her eyes. Paige scoffed.
"Excuse you, I can make a mean grilled cheese." The two started laughing again. "Maybe I should read a cooking book. Now that we're out on our own, ONE of us should know how to cook."
"Yeah, I'll get right on that." Peyton smiled. "Okay, I'll be over at 9 for breakfast."
"Fine. I'll make something easy. But good. It's our first breakfast in our new homes. It should be something we can remember. And something we can give to our neighbors. Something they won't hate us for."
"Sounds good." Peyton laughed. "I'm tired. Guess I'll go home."
"Be safe. Not that it's dangerous." Paige smiled. She was so used to telling that to her sister. "Don't freak out, okay? I'm right across the sidewalk, remember?"
"Okay." Peyton said, hugging her sister once more before heading out the door. "Thank you!" She called over her shoulder as she went down the steps and crossed the sidewalk.
"See you tomorrow." Paige called out, watching Peyton go inside her matching house. She shut the door softly and traveled through the rooms, turning off the lights, before heading upstairs to go to bed.

I'm sorry, but can we mention again how much I LOVE this frozen lighting mod by brntwaffles?
I swear, if the world I lived in looked like this, I'd never go inside. This is gorgeous. I can't thank her enough for making this mod, it's the best thing I've ever downloaded for my game.

These are freaking adorable!~
The other new addition to my Harry Potter neighborhood - a Ravenclaw sim by the name of Paige Harrington!
Paige is Peyton's older sister. She is the other half of the Ravenclaw spectrum - instead of her sister's creativity, Paige is very bookish and know everything about that latest novel people are beginning to talk about. She memorizes facts and statistics and can often be found reading out on her porch. She wants to learn as much as she can in the time she has.
She is on a quest to become a journalist and write for the newspaper. She uses her wages to take care of herself and her sister. Anything left over goes towards extra books.

Happy New Year's! 2014 has been great.~
Welcome to my newest sim in my Harry Potter neighborhood, the first Ravenclaw - Peyton Harrington.
She's more of artistically intelligent, being creative and bouncy, although she does pick up a book quite often. She's often found in front of her easel, painting whatever comes through her mind. A 'starving artist', you could say, but her sister who lives across from her takes care of her.

Happy New Year's everyone!~
Hey, I'm starting a berry sim legacy. It would be helpful if any of my followers could make me a husband for my founder? If not, it would also be great if you could just link me to berry sims to download, so I can place them in my town. Any good ones out there?
"It really is beautiful tonight, isn't it?" Willow said softly, staring up at the lovely purple sky. Pink clouds drifted lazily across it, and she directed her warm brown eyes back to the crackling fire. "I love coming out here at night, don't you?"
Her eyes flicked up to him, and he pretended he hadn't been looking at her. "Oh, well, it's nice. But I don't get outside much, especially after dark."
"What? Are you crazy?" Willow laughed. He smiled and shook his head. "You have such a beautiful view and you don't get outside? That's why I wanted to live here, you know. A small community, way out on this island, and there's no fog above a city to block out the sky. It's breathtaking! I enjoy it as much as I can. We're so lucky."
Rowan nodded, leaning back to see the sky, barely hearing the words she was saying. He instead had found himself focusing on her and the way she got excited about this place and the people in it and just how in love she was with where she was at in life. "Yeah. It's really something." He got out, finally remembering he was still here and needed to say something to fill the awkward silence.
"You're really something." Willow laughed, smacking him with the back of her hand. "So tell me, what's got you so distracted? What'cha thinkin' about?"
She leaned forward, elbow on her knee, resting her head on her hand. A warm breeze blew her bangs around, but she sat still as a statue, staring at him, waiting.
"Uh, it's, nothing, really." He laughed it off awkwardly, looking away. Anywhere but her. He focused instead on the flames dancing around.
"Oh, come on, you can tell me! I know we met not long ago, but believe me, I'm trustworthy. I keep everyone's secrets." Willow told him, sitting up again and smiling. Her head tilted a bit to the side, like a puppy waiting for a treat.
What she said was true. Around the island, Willow was known as a friend to everyone. She knew the names and occupations of all the people living there, and most of them she knew about family of their's off the island. She was up to date on everyone's latest news. It wasn't because she was creepy or a stalker. She just got to know everyone really well. She was likable. Her trailer home was very small, but every day it seemed someone was walking up the steps and would stay for a an hour or two. They would come for a cup of coffee and just to talk, because Willow loved to listen. She was the town's free therapist, the friend to all. If you had a bad day, you could spend the night with her. Talk about anything, small or big, or just read some magazines and have a laugh. She would help you get through anything or nothing at all, and the thought never occurred to her to charge for it. Every night she would go out and start her bonfire, calling up and down the street for people to join. People would wander over and enjoy themselves.
In fact, Willow had offered for Rowan to come over multiple times. He had declined politely, except for tonight. He didn't want to interfere with anything. However, tonight she had been invited to a party down the street. Upon hearing Rowan hadn't been invited as well, she decided not to go and invited him over. He felt that it had been a very sweet thing to do, and so he went to be polite.
Now, having her staring at him, he was beginning to think it had not been such a good idea.
Rowan glanced at his house next door. It was so strange to live next to Willow. The two were as different as different could be. His house was surrounded by a white brick fence and pristine hedges. It was sleek and modern. Willow's had no fence. It was open and inviting for anyone and everyone. It was comfortably cluttered. It was... too comfortable.
"Uh, actually, I think I should be getting home soon." He said awkwardly, tugging at his collar and standing up. How could he tell her the thing that was making him so distracted and uncomfortable now was her? It would break her heart. He couldn't say that.
"Oh, do you have to?" Willow said sadly, looking up at him.
"Y-Yeah, I have to... uh... a cat."
"What?"
"I have a... a cat."
"Rowan, I've been in your house, and I've never-" Willow cut herself off, laughing. "You don't have a cat, Rowan! That's ridiculous."
"Well, I-"
"You don't need to make excuses." Willow stood and smiled. "If you don't want to talk, then I don't want you to feel like you have to."
Rowan sighed internally of relief. He smiled back, but standing face to face with her was making him uncomfortable again. "Well, I really should be going, though. This was nice. Please don't feel like I didn't enjoy myself, because I- I did! I just..."
"It's okay! Don't worry about it. I had fun. We should definitely do this again sometime. I can't say that I'm not a bit disappointed you have to leave so early, but I'm thankful for the time we got." Willow said, grabbing his hand with a smile. He stood there awkwardly.
"Yeah. Okay. So, uh, yeah. I'm gonna go."
"Okay." Willow laughed, letting go of his hand and putting both of her's in her cardigan pockets. "But remember, if you ever need to talk, I'm just next door."
"Okay. I'll keep that in mind." Rowan said, looking back at his house. "Thanks for having me." He said, beginning to walk away.
"Thanks for coming." Willow said, turning on her heels to call after him as he walked away. He hurried around his fence and up into his house. Willow watched until the door swallowed him, and then she looked up at the sky, rocking on her heels. She heard the music from down the street pouring out of an open window.
Maybe it wasn't too late to get to that party.
More of Willow's daily life. A new friend moves in tomorrow...
The Frozen Inspired Lighting mod by brntwaffles. <3 These pictures don't have much editing. I just enhanced the colors a bit more. I'm seriously in love with it.
So I never posted these. But I have PLENTY more coming.
I used a prebuilt house and cleared it out, making it customized completely for my Hufflepuff sim! Yes, I'm making sims from Harry Potter houses now.
This sim is so adorable she hurts me sometimes. Her name is Willow Haven. As you can see, her house is very cheerful and cozy. The town she lives in is empty and I will be building all the community lots and sims to go in it. I have a few lots planned out, I just need to actually build them.
Willow will sort of be like the free town therapist. She's so friendly and helpful. Everyone knows they can go to her just to relax and talk for a while about anything, whether it be a serious problem or they just need some company. She loves to help. She serves tea and fresh meals and sometimes lets people sleep on her couch if they need it. Everyone feels welcome with Willow.
She loves to sit outside at night at her bonfire and call over any neighbors to join her around for some marshmallows or just to enjoy the night. She's everyone's best friend, meaning sometimes she puts off her own problems to help someone else. She doesn't mind.
There will be more coming. <3 I wish I could upload more than 10 pictures.
Good Morning
OH MY GOD
