Two duelists faced with a life or death situation where they must duel over a pit of lava and losing life points means losing part of their soul, and as they prepare to begin this grim foray where only one player will emerge intact but none shall be the same person they were before, it turns out one of them hasn't rebooted their duel disk in a while so they both have to stand there awkwardly while it downloads firmware updates
Yugioh villain has the protagonist backed against the wall. 100 life points, no cards on his field or in his hand. The villain draws and is ready to execute his deadly combo to finish the hero off. Suddenly the duel ends because the villain’s internet connection failed. Villain is promptly banished to the shadow realm because this is somehow his fault.
