Been working on this on and off the last couple years. I got stuck on how to make the piece look like it was sketched in pencil, but then decided to just 'go for it' recently, and I think it turned out pretty well despite it trying my patience! haha!

This was my first time using silk in embroidery, mainly due to how fine you can split the thread for detail! :)

The piece is based off of the 2002 anime "Haibane Renmei. Art piece if based off an original by artist, Yashitobi Abe.

Been starting to make long pine needle baskets lately with help from "The Woven Dream" in Sechelt. She has wonderful starter kits for these baskets and is so supportive and kind. <3
