Well, I very easily word vomited 500 words of an outline for the background/historical chapters, but I’ve made it to the one pivotal scene that popped into my head and now I have to make PLOT DECISIONS about where to go from here. I like writing characters, not plot.

Rude of the idea not to come to me fully-formed and perfectly crystallised. What do you MEAN I actually have to write?

So here's the thing. The outline of the *13 years* of backstory came to me fully formed, so did the complication. But I still CANNOT for the life of me decide how to resolve it.

Do I just write the backstory and hope the plot solves itself? I've forgotten how to write for anything but academia or policy, send help.
