TINY, THE DEVASTATION OF THIS WORLD.
♚ ▐ ┊ ℬride of Sparda — Shadows fall, blankets over an already dark world, souls mistaken as stars were all that was left to illuminate her path. It was a beaten and worn road, this journey to what seemed like no where. And every now and again, she would catch herself becoming just as weary as the dirty she walked on. What disgusting otherworld had she walked herself into, what kingdom of sorrows had she unwillingly become a subject of? She was left to wonder what could possibly rule these desolate lands, what would ever inhabit such a place of darkness. No one in their right minds, one would hope, but not she. For if people with solid consciences did not dwell here, those without surely did. And her blade would be ready.
One heel before the other, she felt the dirt fade into the cobblestone beneath her feet she could no longer see, a dragon’s claw of iron and onyx holding a fire within it built of pure magick and sorcery. It lit her way for only a little while, cast an orange glow on everything she saw and mutated the natural beauty of it’s color. The fire smothered, and a cold chill swept through her body like illness.
The ground shook, discomfort settling deep in her bones, and her heart beating so fast it was almost tremoring. What ungodly thing dwelled her, that it shook the Earth under a human’s feet? The tip of her sword scratched against cobblestone as she slowly turned, sparks flying from the metal scratching. With head turning upwards, the same armor-clad claw rose in front of her face, fingers flexing as a fire lit in her palm once more. Something was there. She knew it.
Stepping backwards, she heard the creaking of the trees, a glimmer of white visible on the ground as it seemed the clouds began to move aside, giving way for the moon and it’s inevitable light. Pitch black became a hiding place for horrors. And horror her expression became.
At the sight of this giant, her head threw backwards to better see it, stepping back further as her feet threatened to almost fly with intent to get away. Quickly whipping her sword up to better use it and not drag it along, her very breath stopped and died inside her throat, resolve dwindling.
❝ By God – what are you? ❞
DOES THE WORLD BLEED? OR DO YOU NOT FEEL IT’S SADNESS. NO, HOW COULD YOU.
Empty, the world was clinging to singular hope of finding the light once again. eons and eons of searching and decades of mindless wars, the kingdom the giant held high within the world was massive and amazing. vast, his peoples lands were. undeniable his might unchallenged. Was he a ruthless and uncaring ruler? No, many would disagree but many would also say he is not. For a king to be a king, kindness is not something offered so freely to those who dare cry for it, kindness is earned and so is his mercy. Perhaps so, but this king wasn’t one to answer kindly to deep hearted threats. His scouts would listen to the stars and whistles of the wind . Scouring deep into the Forest of Giant’s Treating and hearing of someones abnormal appearance into his realm. The lands spoke to us, cared for us, for the Giants had taken care of it all. Unstable minds of old, the king would trek into the empty lands of the dead. Seeking out what this abnormal thing lay silent within his world.
DID MAN TRULY THINK TO INVADE AGAIN? DESTROY ALL, DESTROY HIS PATHWAY. IGNORANT ENTITIES WHO ONLY FUMBLE IN IGNORANCE AND DESPAIR, LISTENING ONLY TO THE EMPTY DESIRES OF THEIR PEOPLE. NEVER THINKING ON HOW THEIR ACTIONS MIGHT AFFECT OTHERS. The giant king stopped suddenly as if noticing the abnormalities in the ground. A woman stood tall and proud staring up at the giant lord. Unknown and frightened were in her eyes, so the king knelt down to examine her further. She wore not chainmail of that mad king, nor did she look of this entirety. Nothing about her rang true, as if false and fake. Did he care? Why yes, he did. This woman could be a threat, or an ally. But through her eyes, he knew what she saw. A giant monster with the power to rip into the ground and tear it open. A deep inhale, the lord of giants would breath heavily. Underneath the blackness of his chainmail, he stared at this alien. It voiced, words a ripple through the cosmos.
“ Tiny being of humanity, listening to the gentle waves of hate echo into the darkness. Navigating through the seething void with no chance of finding hope or peace. Who do you say? What do you know? This land is not of thy own, yet here ye stands. A king would destroy and devour, but I am no monster. ”
It stood up, still staring down at this woman of anew. As if understanding her now, the king would look into the stars, staring into the nothingness of everything. Did he know? did he truly understand? Only he must know. “ Though, abnormal would ripple chaos through my people, your being here is a sign. The across the sea is growing, and we are but infants. Listen well, child. Do you understand chaos? Do you know chaos? No, how could you. Your body cries out anger and fear, yet you stand there ignorant to your own being. It’s childish, do you want to live? Then you must leave, for a great war is coming and if you stay. Your soul will be crush. ”
“ Leave, little rose. For the skies will crumble, and your pretty existence will only know ruin. ”
