     RAIN  FELL  WITH  PURPOSE  :  gradually  beginning  to  bring  desperately  sought  after  nutrients  to  all  living  things  ,  &  also  to  bring  a  halt  to  the  laid  --  back  ,  afternoon  laziness  of  the  city’s  civilians  .  he  ushers  her  to  follow  him  ,  &  he  talks  as  he  walks  .     ❛     i  know  you  won’t  be  a  bother  ,  it’s  okay  .     ❜     smiles  quietly  towards  her  ,  turns  his  attention  back  to  walking  .     ❛     oh  .  .  .  it  hasn’t  been  too  busy  ,  &  you  can  stay  as  long  as  you  like  .  i  live  alone  anyway  ,  company  will  be  a  nice  change  .     ❜     as  famous  as  he  was  ,  no  one  wanted  to  live  with  the  savage  island  boy  ,  &  the  same  went  for  the  other  children  on  the  island  that  had  made  it  off  ---  jack  especially  .  KILL  THE  BEAST  ,  SPILL  HIS  BLOOD  ,  BASH  HIM  IN  !

um jack and ralph aren’t a healthy relationship and they’re codependent on each other so., like i ship it for angst purposes and because it’s character development for my ralph, but there are., serious flaws.

that’s the beauty of it actually. the fact that they would have to pass through serious hardships to get there, the fact that they would have to fight and struggle to reach beyond, the fact that they would still fall for each other in spite of how messed up both of them are

it’s not a cute or harmonious pairing, it’s cruel and intense, and it messes with your mind and soul, but the result is beautiful

I absolutely love that scene, the tension towards the end is incredible.

why do people always portray jack as angry and feisty towards ralph while ralph is all stoic and cool, like there’s literally no scene in which jack lashes out at ralph, he just flips once because he’s not chosen as chief and he occasionally taunts ralph, but if you actually pay attention to the book, it’s all the other way around; it’s basically ralph who lashes out at jack, and there are so many scenes with this, so many scenes in which ralph throws tantrums and yells at jack and insults him and is all stormy and emotional around him while jack mostly stands there without any reaction, like how do people not notice that ralph is the true tsundere in the relationship

Jack literally attempted to murder Ralph and mount his head on a stick I wouldn’t call that “standing around with no reaction”

I was speaking about their basic relationship, the way they interact with each other, not about jack’s depraved morality and greed that eventually leads him to burn an island and kill ralph.  I was just speaking about the way they act on a regular basis. ralph mostly acts like a feisty tsundere towards jack, while jack is most of the time the stoic one (e.g: the fire scene in which ralph yells at jack, the shelters scene in which ralph yells at jack again, the constant change of moods that ralph has around jack -how he is accepting towards him in one moment then suddenly lashes out at him for one reason or another, how ralph is all annoyed and emotional and asks jack why does he hate him while jack doesn’t have any reaction, how ralph insults jack again at the end, etc.).  the way they simply interact with each other. ralph IS the emotional one in their relationship. jack is just angry at life in general, but in his relationship with ralph, he is quite stoical.

another scene that shows jalph was real and that ralph had cared very much for jack is the moment in which ralph cried for his friends’ deaths, but he also cried because it was jack the one who had caused everything
