huh i just noticed that fass and vome kill each other differently? fass shoots something like a fire blast (instantly destroying vome's face) while vome shoots an electrical beam (you can notice sparks appearing on fass before his head explodes)

picking up vome/fass residue by walking in the residue zone makes the edges of your screen flash blue/red with veins and i feel they could have chosen visual effects that makes me worry less about taking shield/health damage

at least i figured out the residue zones heal you.. which makes this effect make less sense
