Challenging Tasks #3

Same environment but different students and classes. This time more tough but less busy. After a few months of teaching, I've learned that knowing the students is extremely important.

From the "The Act of Teaching" book, it states that knowing our student enables us to organize them into a functional class, to interact with them more sensitively and teach them more effectively. No doubt, its truly proven.

When the first time I step into a class, I will give no expectations first because I've no idea who they are and how do they behave. I always assume that low potential class have a very bad attitude, but actually not all of them are. Based on my personal view, students are differs from all aspects. So that's why "Knowing students deeply, teachers are far more able to coach, nurture, and demand excellence from each one. No students remains anonymous or falls through the cracks" - Wagner, 2001. So, no child is faceless nor left behind.

Brain Drain #1

Current mood: "under the weather"

It was raining cats and dogs and I have beating my brains out to figure out the problem with my phone, while others are cuddling under their blankets. "Goggling" on how to solve it by myself. There's none. 

I stopped. Whenever I feel like I want to use it, I switch it on, if not, I switched it back off. Less socialize. I don't want to get gray hair just because of it, I've too much on my plate.

Days of unemployment after the teaching. Nothing much to be achieved during the periods of time other than getting a car license. I thought I have a good mind to teach but I have a major problem on keeping the passion.  So, I lost, again.

Suddenly, one day I received an email regarding an interview, I was hoping it would be a head start for me and not a soul-crushing.
