“El derecho de vivir en paz“ (”The right to live in peace”) is a protest song written in 1971 by Chilean singer-songwriter Victor Jara against the Vietnam war.

Victor Jara was tortured and killed during the dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet.

Now, with the massive popular movement that has emerge in Chile, the song has become again a symbol of the demands for social justice and the end of the guvernamental repression.

This new version was made by an ensamble of Chilean musicians from all ages and styles, Musicxs De Chile, to support the current struggle for the dignity of their country.
