BIOGRAPHY !
Oriana Perez was raised by a single father and her grandmother. She doesn't remember her mother—who skipped out on the family when she was three. Although her father was angry, he never blamed his child for his wife's departure. From that moment on, he worked hard to keep his family afloat, sometimes working multiple jobs in order to spoil Oriana. Her family, despite small, were all very supportive of each other. They weren't wealthy at first—and then her father finally got a job where he was actually making a decent salary. A few months later he met another woman and they got married.
Elisabetta already had another child from a previous marriage, so suddenly Oriana had to share everything with her new step-sibling and she wasn't exactly a fan. As much as she liked the idea of her expanded family and having more people around to care about her. But Oriana hated having to share her family with someone new. She had a competitive streak when it came to besting her new sibling. So when her sibling decided to start dancing, Oriana also joined. And she fell in love with it. Even when her sibling fell out of love with dance, Oriana kept at it. Dancing was where she realized that she was trans—she wanted to wear the dresses and heels and makeup that the other girls in her dance class were wearing. Although it wasn't until she was in middle school that she was confident enough to tell her family who were all supportive.
Although Oriana grew up in Aurora Bay, her dad had decided he wanted to send her to a private school. She was shipped off to a girl's boarding school in England and absolutely hated it. She had never been an academic oriented school, but being in Europe was good for the fashion loving side of her. Oriana ended up going to Paris fashion week several times and while she didn't graduate as one of the best students, she ended up doing alright in school. Although she ended up arguing with her dad about going off to university, eventually she caved and applied to a school in the states in California. Oriana wouldn't be in school for long though, as she quickly realized that was not going to work for her.
She stayed in school for two years, but it was in her junior year that things changed. In high school, she had started a fashion and style instagram. While it took some time to get off the ground, she started getting a really decent following and making money from her videos in her sophomore year of college. Although her father was angry, he couldn't exactly stop her from quitting school to follow her passions in the influencer space. Oriana eventually went to cosmetology school in Los Angeles and got a job at a decent enough salon. Her page turned more into showing her own work and got even more attention—enough that she started to get invites to red carpet events and work as a stylist on some movies.
It was at a red carpet event for a movie she was hired to work on that she met someone. The two quickly realized how compatible they were and Oriana had never found herself falling in love so fast with someone. The next few years went by in such a blur that Oriana barely remembers them. She found herself happy and successful—everything she had always wanted in life. When he asked her to marry, Oriana said yes without thinking about it. And then two days later she packed her bags and left a note saying she couldn't marry him. She left Los Angeles and went back to Aurora Bay.
Her father was confused when she showed up at his door, but he let her stay for a bit, until she got her own apartment. Oriana got a new job at Stunning Styles and posts online less often than she did before—but still has quite a following online. She has only been back a few months at this point, but she refuses to talk about why she just left Los Angeles and all of her friends are confused about where she went.
HEADCANONS !
Oriana was twelve when she managed to finally learn her mother's name. She was talking to her grandmother and the woman let it slip. Although Oriana has never looked her up, she is curious.
Luz kept her hand on the other woman's shoulder, resisting the urge to look (and glare) at the person who was bothering her. Thankfully though, she could soon enough feel the tension draining from the other's shoulders and she herself relaxed, her smile softening as she nodded, "Don't mention it. I can't tell you how many times I've had to play the fake date card with someone just to get a creep to leave me alone."
Oriana watched the man walk away and disappear into the crowd. She knew that he was probably looking for someone else to bother, but she'd be there for the next person. Hopefully he'd get the hint. "I don't get why they don't take the hint the first time," she shook her head. "Like I don't think that one meant harm, but he was so annoying." Oriana nodded. "I once convinced this man that was hitting on my friend in LA that we were dating. That kiss ended up on some tabloid."
"What do you think," Mack starts, removing the cap from his head and tilting his chin down to give a clearer look at the hair on his head, "Keep growing it or give into the voices that are telling me to do a bleach blond buzzcut for summer?"
"As a hair stylist, I beg you not to do a blond buzzcut." Oriana tried not to be judgemental, but come on. That was an awful look. "At least make it a fun color if nothing else." She closed her eyes. "What do you want to do?"
"Okay so like for real, how true do you think these things are?" Addison looks over the sign of the fortune teller. Honestly, ten bucks for a reading doesn't sound bad and she doesn't have much to lose from it. "I wouldn't mind something good..."
"I doubt they're all that accurate at all." Oriana never pays attention to these types of stalls when she's at a carnival. "Maybe you'll get something good though, you should try it. I could also use some good news, so maybe I'll take a chance on it."
skull. what memories/thoughts do they guard the most from others ?
"I know it was a baby when she left and don't remember my mother, but I think it hurt a lot more than I wanted to admit it that my mother left. I know my dad did a lot for me and my grandmother when I was a baby, but it didn't change the fact that my mom left me. She had me and then took one look at me and left. Sometimes I think that there might have been something wrong with me."

“ I really hate fast fashion, because these places end up getting pieces from those sellers but no one is gonna buy them" Ruby replied making a face as she put back a dress she knew was bound to fall apart and end up in a landfill. "I would accept ultra low waist jeans coming back as long as we had less waste. Oooh that reminds me. What trend do you wish never comes back?"
"You'd be surprised how many times Shein has tried to partner with me on something. They've been trying to send me PR packages for years now." She told them to fuck off so many times. Oriana tried to do her best to pay attention to the brands she took partnerships from. She was sure there were some sketchy ones. "I don't blame people who buy them from thrift stores though." Oriana laughed. "Probably low rise jeans. They just look... so bad."
Luisa looked over in surprise when a woman not only immediately saddled up beside her at the lounge's bar, but also immediately started talking to her. It only took a few seconds for her words to register though before the surprise on Luz's face morphed into an easy grin and she leaned over, wrapping her arm around the other woman to hug her in greeting. "Of course." She murmured before pulling back, "It's about time you showed up! I was beginning to think you'd ditched me." She told her, voice louder now.
"Sorry, I'm so late. I couldn't decide on my shoes." Oriana let out a little laugh. Hopefully the creep would leave her alone now. Sometimes she hated that people wouldn't leave her alone. They thought because she was an influencer they could bother her. Oriana looked at the man who huffed and walked off. "Thank you for that. Some people are really annoying."
"No, no, I get you. It's not something that can be only understood if you're in it. It's straightforward. As f-for the romance department, you'll be the first I tell about any of those sorts of things. But only if-if you promise the same. Screw the ex. Get some-some drinks in you and find some strangers or whatever those cliches are." She knew, but it was Rhia's brand to not have the confidence in her words.
Oriana knew that she shouldn't complain about her life. She wasn't in the worst situation even if it was an awkward situation. "I better be cause I need to hear some kind of happy news in that regard. I mean there's lot of nice people here." Oriana wished she could move on from her weird situation with Raf. "Yeah, yeah. I know. He's the worst or whatever." Even though it was her who left. All of his was her fault.
10. Who is someone they’ve wronged, deliberately or otherwise?
"There's plenty of people that I've wronged deliberately because they wronged me first. I'm not naming names, they know who they are. Whoever said two wrongs don't make a right are clearly wrong."
"Hi," Oriana sat down, acting as if she knew the other. "My date bailed on me and that guy by the bar keeps hitting on me." She tilted her head to the side. "Mind pretending you're with me so he'll leave me alone?"
"I mean, it-it's always happening in some form. Projects and stuff. I'm not resigned to pilot season and-and so on." Rhiannon preferred not to speak about herself, she felt selfish whenever she did in any capacity. Like she was shoving the conversation into her direction when they were already talking about Oriana. "I-I mean I'm inside most days. Some women I've met I-I think are gorgeous and so on. Just nothing t-too crazy."
"Yeah, I remember those days. Or like... not in the same way, but you know what I mean." Getting to work on sets was kind of different than acting in any capacity. Voice actors totally got the short end of the stick. Oriana scrunched her nose. "Mhmmm. Well I want to be the first to know if that changes. I'd like to at least be happy for someone in the romance department."
Sola chuckled, a little rueful. It felt wrong to think of Ravi as an ex, but it was also the closest word she had.
"What happened with yours?" she asked, unable to avoid being a little nosy (though she hoped that the other woman wouldn't ask her to reciprocate in the storytelling).
"Oh, trust me. He would take zero offense. Like, he's definitely not the kinda guy who doesn't think that guys should be anywhere near makeup, he's just kinda clueless. In, like, a cute way."
It was difficult to say what happened with her and Raf. A part of her was confused as to what exactly went sour, but then they'd interact and she'd think that's why.
"I don't know. I guess I just didn't want what he wanted." But what exactly did she want? Was she doomed to run from perfectly good relationships because her mother had done the same?
"Well good. That he wouldn't take offense to it. I know plenty of people like that. They're just not interested in learning about makeup. I think that was one of the biggest clues for me figuring out who I was. I liked makeup and dresses and dance. And not in an appreciation way, in a that's how I want to look way."
🥦 Broccoli - Are they a picky eater? To what extent? And are they aware that they are one?
"I try to at least try something before I make a decision on if I like it or not. That said, I still have my favorite dishes that I'll eat above trying something new if given the chance."
