Abnormal Days - sheâs just out for a swim
After freeing Kazuki from the bathroom, worry grows within Yuu. Thatâs one down, but where wasâŠ? He ran off to the rest of the caverns in search, as fast and far as his courier legs could take him.
As Yuu arrived at the gymâs pool, he could just make out a figure floating underneath the surface of the water, surrounded by a faint cloud of red. Upon closer inspectionâŠ
That small figure was that of Vera Anemoriâs, no doubt. Itâs hard to tell looking through the water, but there seems to be something attached to her ankle thatâs keeping her from floating up to the surface. Your ID cards beep with new information, confirming her death.
Suddenly, that odd feeling of being a couple people short made sense.

Abnormal Days - sheâs just sleeping
A few days after that nightmare of a movie night, a ping wakes you up right at 7:03 AM, if you werenât awake already. You check your ID to findâŠa Monobear File?
Well, this canât be good.
You leave your dorms and see immediately that the door to Room 6 was wide open. Ryuunosuke, Yuuichirou, and Koma had already beat you there. Theyâre all looking at the same thing, at the same limp figure on the bed.
There laid Meihua Bao, in a fancy blue princess dress. White petals have been scattered over her body and her bed and thereâs a ring on her finger you donât quite recognize. It looks almost as if sheâs just sleepingâŠBut a quick pulse check and the Monobear File is enough to prove otherwise.
As you look around the people who have gathered, thereâs a nagging feeling in the back of your head. Shouldnât there be more people here? Somehow, it feels like youâre a couple of heads short. Strange.
[art by Laney!]
Iwao: Well, in walks Iwao with no one at his side. He's just strolling in, hands behind his head as he looks around the room. ".... Nifty." Yuu: Yuu walks in the room, gently holding on to Vera's hand as they look around the theater slowly. Wow! Who knew underground caves had movie theaters! Ao...
Chapter 4 Event Log
Motive - What Happened To The Mouse?
âUphuhuhuâŠI can appreciate good cinematography.â
âOh, by the wayâŠThat movie was 100% non-fiction! Itâs not some story we made up or anything. Itâs not âbased off a true storyâ or anything, it is the true story! Almost everything outside of the caverns has been destroyed! Thereâs only a few hundred survivors out there now. If you donât believe believe me, you can always check the radio station to make sure~!â
âAnywayâŠAre you wondering what happened to your loved ones out there? Your friends? Your family? WellâŠI know what happened to them! I know if theyâre dead or alive, or even on the brink of death. That information ainât coming cheap, though! Howâs this? If you get away with murder, Iâll reveal to you the location and status of your loved ones. Oh, and if no one kills by the end of the weekâŠâ
âI still know where they are. Iâll make sure youâll find out in that case~â
And with that, Monobear hops down from the stage so you can contemplate that. You hear the theater doors unlock behind you.
Event - History of the World
âUphuhuhuâŠLooks like itâs time for our main feature! Sit down, kiddos, and make sure you pay attention!â
Monobear ushers you into your seats. A white screen slides down on stage and you hear the clicking of tapes winding up behind you. The projector flips on to reveal the title of this presentation: History of the World.
At first, itâs just a boring documentary. There isnât anything in it that you havenât learned about in a history class at some point. ItâsâŠunderwhelming, to say the least. You couldnât help but feel like thereâs some sort of catch to this.
Then, it reaches modern history.
Year 2120. You see videos of yourself. All of your classmates, alive and dead, and even some people only a few of you here would recognize. You were all living happily down here in Toprak, no mutual killings or anything. You couldnât recall the events that were happening in the videos, but they looked soâŠreal. They couldnât have possibly been faked.
The camera pans out and suddenly cuts to the image of several major cities, with the words âYear 2121â in the corner. You watch as these cities are destroyed by various natural disasters, as unrecognizable bodies litter whatâs left of the streets under the rubble of toppled skyscrapers.
The image cuts again. Year 2122. Itâs back here in the caverns. Itâs back to the mutual killing, showing all the deaths thus far exactly as you remember them. When you see Yukiâs death for the second time, the camera cuts to a white screen, before zooming out, revealing the very theater youâre in right now, live.
Then, the projector turns off, and Monobear gets back on stage.
Event - Come On And Slam
As you enter the theater for the event, you hear the doors lock behind you, trapping you inside. They only unlock briefly to let other people in after youânot long enough to give you enough time to leave. Yup, you really have no choice.
As you all gather in the theaterâs main lobby, you hear sounds from inside the cinema itself. IsâŠis that Space Jam.
âUphuhuhuâŠWelcome to Night At The Caverns! Here are your tickets! All snacks and drinks are free.â
Monobear hands each of you a ticket.
âBy the way, the thing I wanted to show you isnât ready yet, so I had to put something else on in the meantime. Enjoy yourselves! Oh, and make sure to be respectful in the cinema, else Iâll put you into The Domeâą.â
Event - Invitation
âHi there.â
Wherever you were that afternoon, you were greeted by this bear appearing out of nowhere. Thanks, Monobear.
âYou saw the posters, right? Night at the Caverns is tonight, and your attendance is mandatory. I have something very special to show you kids, and I wonât tolerate any no-shows! Honestly, you have no choice. Iâll see you there~â
And with that, theyâre off. Well.
I was a fool||Muwata||Chapter 4||Open
The loud sound of Muwata punching her hand through the piano keys could be heard in response to Veraâs words. This was followed by the loud sound of a âcrackâ or two from her bones. She managed to not only break a hole through the keys in the middle of the piano, but retain a fracture in so doing. Thus, while trying to look cool while pissed off, Muwata ended up falling to her knees in response to the pain. Some tears streamed down her eyes, but Muwata tried, desperately to swat them off. Nice. Â
âI-Idiot. You even hide away from me. But thats not what I want. I didnât even want to punch y-you. I wanted to trust you. To believe we would be on the same side. I k-keep losing friends and if I lost you, IâŠ.â
The saxophonist kind of laid there on her knees, the very right hand sheâd punched with throbbing with so much pain. Goddamn it, this was her good hand too, wasnât it? She held it close to her chest then and didnât move or say a word after. âŠ.Maybe if she just stood still, her hand could just heal fine on its own. No doctors: she didnât need any of that mumbo jumbo.
Muwata is too cool for tears.
Vera stumbled backwards in shock from the sight of Muwata punching a hole through the piano and then hurting her wrist. Well that was not what Vera was expecting whatsoever. Vera was expecting that punch to be directed towards her.
âM-Muwata-chan why...did you punch piano....? Now you....â
Vera went over to Muwata, despite the tension in the air and looked at her hand...it indeed was fractured. Vera looked up at Muwata and frowned...
âI never hide away from....? I...I admit I coward...idiot...but I trust....you...and that why I no want lose you even if I may have....everything I ever tell though is because trust...I...â
Vera tried to hold back her own tears, but this time it wasnât going to happen. She wasnât going to be able to keep them at bay no matter how hard she tried. She squeezed her eyes shut as tight as she possibly could, pulling a super ugly face. She was an ugly crier for sure.
âI.........â
Vera wasnât able to hold back the tears as she tried to talk but she just couldnât. Her leg still was extremely sore from the events that had taken place and she just couldnât face anyone right now without feeling like she was about to be punched.
Once was Strong || Vera || Chapter 4 Start || Open
The execution left Vera in tears, albeit she had already been crying but the execution had intensified the tears. Seeing Yuki die in such a manner wasâŠfrighteningâŠshe barely had the courage to even watch what happened to the girl who once threatened to bash her head into the nearest wall. Those times seemed almost surreal and Vera wished Yuki wouldnât have had to die.
When the cages were unlocked, Vera took off as quick as her small legs would let her..booking it past Muwata and grabbing Yuu and Kazuki by their hands and leading them in a rushing manner out of the trial room. The small artist did not want to share the same air with such foul people anymore and it was clear she also feared them.
After time had passedâŠit had maybe been at least a day Vera had snuck out of the room, Kazuki still at her side but sleepily at that. She headed for the kitchen, tearing through it like the Tasmanian devil she seemed to always be, collecting just about anything she could so she wouldnât have to leave her room for a whileâŠthis wasnât new though she always did this. But now it was mandatory for her to not get harmed!
âHmmmâŠwe needâŠALL THISâŠâ
Loading things into her overalls as much as she could and even shoving things into Kazukis zipped up jacket she barely even heard chattering coming into the CafeteriaâŠbut once she did she let out a small noise and ducked under the sink, dragging Kazuki with herâŠ.the door sadly didnât close completely. Vera youâre bad at this arenât you.
I was a fool||Muwata||Chapter 4||Open
Muwata heard the footsteps, but barely paid mind to Veraâs entrance. Perhaps, she was ignoring her at first? Or, at the very least, she was trying to. She wanted so badly to smash this piano into completely oblivion, considering the deep anger she felt. But wasnât this just mostly anger built from love?Â
âThats all you can say after all of that? Truly, after taking you on as my apprentice and everything? Do you even appreciate what Kazuki and I did for you? Does Yuu?â Â
Shivers again coursed through her body as she spoke. It was painful, speaking like this, but Muwata was so hurt. She wasnât even sure how else to express her feelings right now. So funny, considering how she would reserve her most âheatedâ feelings for the battlefield.
âOr did you just never trust me? Was our conversation about trust and friendship before this..all a lie?â
Her grip on the piano seemed much tighter than it should be. Her right hand was practically molding in with the keys as she said this.Â
Muwatas words were not snarky or mean to Vera at all. She was prepared for this, what was she going to expect? A warm hug?? No. Not at all. She was going to talk to Muwata head on.
âWhat else expect me say? I was comment on song...but..â
She sniffled a little, she must have been recently crying what a whiny brat she was.
âWhat Kazuki and you did for me....I can never...thank enough...you save life...I alive but. I sure everyone else wish I deadâ
Yeah that motive they had really meant nothing to her, she speaks her mind anyways. Rest in pepperonis.
But when Muwata thought Vera had been lying, Vera looked her dead in the eyes and was still frowning, looking like the garbage she felt.
âNone of that was lie, I trust you....even if you no longer trust me....I understand. Iâm idiot and give permission to hit me again. Do whatever make you feel better....just donât...No harm Kazuki....or yourself....I know not hurt Yuu either....that all I ask...â
I was a fool||Muwata||Chapter 4||Open
{x} Muwata wasnât normally one for cheesy sad song tros or anything of the sort. Whenever she was sad, she would usually beat the hell out of something and be satisfied with that alone. But for now? That didnât seem to be in the cards. Hell, she couldnât even sleep, after all that transpired. Not to mention the fact that most of her friends were dead, elsewhere or would likely hate her for now. A sad chuckle escaped her lips as she boarded the tram and held her face in her hands, not allowing anyone to see her face. But soon, the moments she spent in trial, and the tram would pass at just the snap of the finger. She would wake up and feel conflicted and sad still. She had no words left. No words that were truly her own, anyway. She would lead herself, eventually, to the new music room. She went in the early morning (at least, she thought it was morning). When Muwata entered the room, she was greeted with silence: something that seemed perfect for the moment. The saxophonist found herself grasping for a seat at the piano, when she decided to play with the keys for a moment. Perhaps play a song from a band she once heard during a tour? It had such a sad, but beautiful melody, but Muwataâs english was god awful.Â
âI stuck around, I did behave, I saved you every time. I was a fool for love, I was a foooolâŠâ
Yes, the mun is definitely not a fan of Tegan and Sara, donât judge me. Anyway, just imagine her singing this with horrid HORRID Engrish. And seeming super sad about it. Nice.
Vera was still connected to Kazuki after that brush with...death? How many brushes with death is she going to have now. Well in the end she felt like she possibly would deserve it after the trial. She however will never confim or deny if she was truly involved with what happend to Rue, maybe in reality she didnât do it. Who knows.
Walking into the new area, Vera had been chatting with Kazuki quietly...limping alongside him. They werenât getting anywhere very fast...it had taken them multiple breaks just to get here.
Then she heard singing....it sounded just like Muwata and a wave of fear...but also...hapiness? Overcame her....Muwata had hit her but Vera did still care very much about Muwata...
Walking into the room...her gaze lowered as she spoke when the song ended...
âNice....song.....Muwata-chan....â

ââCause chaos.â Weâre pretty good at this, donâtcha think?â
ââŠThe others donât seem to appreciate that. Oh well.â
âAnyway, I canât hang around for long. I have some rankings to set, after all~â
âSee you again soon, friend.â

As the image flickers away, the bars behind your podiums lower. Monobear hops down from their own podium to join you.
ââŠEhehe. Our job is fun, donât you think?â
ââŠWhat are you even talking about?
âOof! Donât think Iâm talkinâ about you, Doc. Anyway, should you kids be a little bit worried~? This is the second time youâve mistrialed. If youâre not careful, someone might actually meet the requirements to escape this placeâŠehe.â
âWatch your back. Because we really know what happened to them.â
And with that, youâre shooed back onto the tram.
Execution - SuperâEuthanasiaâCoaster!
[tw: mouth trauma]
Yukiâs eyes widen with shock as she hears her name, and she tries to make a run for it, calling out âIwao-chan!â before the floor beneath her swings open and she falls, thrashing and crying, away to her doom. When you finally see her again, sheâs in a bright, colourful location: an amusement park. A ferris wheel spins leisurely in the background, stalls selling cotton candy and ice cream litter the area, and, center stage, an enormous rollercoaster looms more ominously than a theme park ride should be able to. Yuki stands, stunned by the lights and sound for a few seconds, before she breaks into a run. Maybe, just maybe, maybe she can find a way out, maybe itâll all be alright. But as she begins to run, she finds that all the roads lead the same way. Towards the rollercoaster.
Itâs not even decorated, really, just metal tracks and simple, green cars. Green cars are lucky. Thereâs no queue to get on, of course there isnât, this rollercoaster is for her and for her alone. With no other choice, Yuki runs towards it, counting her steps under her breath: one-two-three-four-five-six-seven-eight-nine-ten-eleven-twelve-one-two-three-four-five-six-seven-eight-nine-ten-eleven-twelve and sheâs trying to think of a bright side, there has to be some kind of bright side, but she just canât find it and before she knows it sheâs at the rollercoaster. She squeezes her eyes shut as she sits down, but then bad thoughts come in, worse than theyâve ever been, and she bites her tongue so hard it bleeds and they still wonât go away.
Defeated, she opens her eyes, forcing herself to smile through bloody teeth. Her parents were right, it seems to her, sheâs a horrible person, and now sheâs being punished for it. At least thereâs a bright side, now. Sheâll at least get one more ride before she dies. Thatâs something to be optimistic about, so she clings to it, more tightly than she clings to the restraints, still smiling. After all, maybe now that sheâs dead, everyone will finally be happy. The rollercoaster takes a few seconds to start, but soon itâs going up, up, and as she looks down the drop ahead of her, she starts doing calculations in her head.
Itâs only once sheâs reached the top that she can be sure. This is not a rollercoaster anybody could survive. It goes too fast, mainting enough velocity to kill anyone who boards it in under a minute. She should know: itâs her own design. But at least, she can think to herself, at least they all wanted her dead anyway. Theyâll be glad to see her gone, and a smile spreads across her face one last time, bad thoughts drifting away. Itâs a real, genuine, warm, smile, as she plummets down the ride at breakneck speed. Itâs a soft, exuberant smile, even as the inversions start, far too fast for any human being to survive, as the oxygen is ripped from her lungs and her vision goes cloudy and then black.
Finally, she wonât have to make anyone happy anymore.
YUKI YAMAMOTO, SHSL ROLLERCOASTER ENGINEER, HAS BEEN EXECUTED.
