Just Okay
There are days.
Days that you won’t.
Won’t be okay,
Won’t be you.
Days that you will.
Will be angry,
Will be afraid,
Will be won’t.
And that’s okay.
Just okay.

Just Okay
There are days.
Days that you won’t.
Won’t be okay,
Won’t be you.
Days that you will.
Will be angry,
Will be afraid,
Will be won’t.
And that’s okay.
Just okay.
The written, Spoken, Unsocial Contract
Speak up.
When you’re not okay,
Say so.
Make people uncomfortable.
The people who sit down and listen.
They are your friends
No social contract required.
Red Ink
Red ink,
Halfway gone.
Turned to pink,
A different shade.
Afraid,
Alone,
When I can’t hear.
Hearing is normal.
Understanding is weird.
Truth, Lies, Loud, Quiet
Monsters under the bed.
Afraid to set,
Foot on the floor.
Standing out,
When I try to fit in.
Holding on,
To something not there.
Losing my thought,
Even as I write it.
Scared of my lies,
Even as I make them.
Afraid what they think,
Because they’re my friends.
Using my pens,
Just to run out of ink.
Afraid of these truths,
That I’m not sure are true.
Scream till I’m hoarse,
So I can stay quiet.
My Truth,
My Lie,
My Loud,
And My Quiet.
Stand Up And Try Again
I’m Okay
I'll show my scars
I'll show my cuts
I'll let them heal
And I'll stand up.
My demons die
My ghosts
They fade
The taunts turn kind My mind's remade.
I'm Okay.
Think you know me
But you don't
I'll stand my ground.
I'm Okay.
You push me down
But I'll stand up
I'll hold my ground,
Because,
I'm Okay.
