"qanon is a cia psyop" no plenty of americans are actually this stupid. it's not always russia or the cia or whatever. sometimes people are actually just morons and there's no excuse for it. happens
people seem to assume everything the government uses to its advantage in some way is a false flag or psyop and that's literally not true. governments will use anything to their advantage whether or not it originated with government intelligence. just like corporations profiting off natural disasters.
that being said, I do believe some of what happened regarding qanon--especially the capitol riot--was aided by the trump admin. the capitol doesn't actually have as awful security as people now assume; the rioters were literally let in by cops. whether or not you believe it's a conspiracy, you have to admit the trump admin chose to exacerbate it and ignore the consequences. it certainly wasn't the entire administration, there are republicans that care more about public image, but just trump's support was enough as he formed a cult of personality.
tl;dr the government didn't invent qanon but used it as an advantage.
