gaelepimelides·:
âOh, I love Kikiâs.â He had been there a couple of times, but both times were good enough for him to want to go again. Plus, who didnât like when food was different. He couldnât exactly live off of just falafels. âI wonder what sheâll have on the menu today. Iâve heard it changes all the time.â
âYouâve had it before?â Thank God, Orpheus was a little worried there. âI have no idea but Iâm excited. No matter what they make, Iâm sure itâll be amazing.â
asterxalseides·:
âWhat is it about her that displeases you?â Aster asked, confused as to what Orpheusâ issue with Eurydice could be. âShe is well proportioned and visually appealing: inquisitive, intelligent. You could be so fortunate as to mate with someone like her.â The dryad was beginning to get a bit miffed with the human, he didnât understand why Orpheus wasnât interested in Eurydice when she was clearly leagues beyond him. Aster scratched his chin, this was quite the mystery.Â
âNothing about her displeases me, itâs just--â He took a deep breath, his annoyance from earlier slowly leaving his body. If anything, Eurydice was perfect, a bit strange, but that made her perfect in her own way. The problem didnât lie with her, the problem was Orpheus. âI donât live here, Aster. Iâm only in Greece for a few more months before I head back to Japan. Itâll be pointless to get into a relationship with Eurydice or anyone really.â
eurydicekouris·:
âThis big man reminds me of Aster.â This Witcher on the Netflix, she sits on Orpheusâs couch, her legs folded beneath her. There is a cosiness to the place that she wishes to emulate with the dryadâs own dwelling. But so far, that place lacks him, and while she cares dearly for her fellow trees, the mortalâs home is devoid of the usual noise that accompanies them. It is also another one of those âdatesâ, Eurydice thinks, her hands curled around a mug of coffee. It is getting colder and so the local shops have brought out a âfall menuâ and the idea delights her that theyâd change for the seasons. @orpheuxmiyamto·
âYou think so?â He could somewhat see it, though, it was probably because both were extremely muscular. But that was about it. Though, he couldnât really think much about the similarities between Aster and the character on the screen, not when Eurydice sat so close to him. After their last date, he was in his head. Unable to focus entirely on his research, both at home or in the library, he just went back to thinking about that day. Because he didnât know what to do or how to handle the situation. Not like it was his first time dealing with feelings but it was different. Back then, it was a confession that happened first before he ended up dating a person. Of someone asking him to meet them behind a building or on their way home-- he knew that the other person liked him because they made it clear. Eurydice never did, she just asked if this was a date and he said yes. That was it. âMaybe the guy is his long lost brother or something.â

Make Me Choose â @faithlesbihane asked: Fred or Oz?
eurydicekouris·:
Her eyes take in their hands, brows furrowed just a little, but she gets it, it feels more comfortable, more natural. Eurydice gives a nod of her head to show that she understands and then sheâs sipping from her coffee in her other hand, the ice in it clinking together pleasantly. âIs this alright?â She wants to remark that it is a nice day, like she sees so many of the mortals do, and yet she is filled withâŠUnsteadiness? He has not rebuffed her, his hand is in hers, heâd adjusted it even to be more comfortable. She is not quite sure what this means, her and Aristaeus didnât do such things. Their affection had been with words, with the little gifts they gave each other. Sheâd given Casper a ring, perhaps she needed to do the same thing with Orpheus. Her first question hangs in the air and sheâs quick to fire another, her voice a tad shyer. âDo you like gifts?â The mortals spoke of love languages now on the television, on the twitter, that kind of thing.
He nodded his head. âYeah, this is fine.â There was comfort and ease that came with holding her hand, but there was also doubt and confusion. Doubt would always live within him, confusion because he didnât know what this meant. Mainly thinking about himself, Orpheus needed time to pick apart his brain to figure out what Eurydice meant to him, if anything. There had to be something if he was willing to walk around the forest with her hand in his. âI do,â he answered. âWhy? Are you going to buy me something?â
asterxalseides·:
âOh.â Aster understood perfectly well now, poor Eurydice had befriended yet another homosexual. Much like himself and Gael, Orpheus preferred the company of men. âI see.â The dryad nodded, âFortunate you were born into this century, gays are well accepted now. When I was newly sprouted it was allowed but was considered⊠juvenile. Something boys outgrew when they became men.â He sighed. âBut I never did.â Still he did his duty for the Gods, fathered sons and daughters - demigods who went on to be kings and queens and heroes of Greece. âYou could always adopt.â
Orpheus thought that Aster finally understood him, it finally clicking that Orpheus and Eurydice were just friends. But unfortunately, that wasnât the case as it lead Aster to another wrong conclusion. âWhat? Aster no--â This couldâve been a touching moment, Aster sharing a bit about himself-- which was nice-- but not when the other still didnât get it. âIâm not gay, I mean, I do like men. But I also like women.â Anyone really. âIâm just not dating Eurydice, nor am I sleeping with her,â he explained. âAnd please stop bringing up children, Iâm not ready to have any, or to even think about having any.âÂ

Finding creatures to do his bidding was easy enough, but Hektor just liked to be picky. In fact, he was almost too picky that heâd been somewhat wandering around all day, finally catching sight of a vampire that would do well enough. Walking up beside Orpheus, he looked down at the little bit of market goods the other had been standing in front of. âCute shop, isnât it? I hear she makes dolls for orphans. I also hear she murders parents so she has more orphans to get money for.â
He had formed a routine since arriving in Corinth. Weekdays spent inside of a library with books that surrounded and towered over him, two cups of coffee on his right side, and his notes to his left. Then his laptop was in the middle, his fingers typing away various points that would be used for the final piece. Those days were stressful and made him question his fatherâs interest in study. But then there was the weekend, which brought time spent with friends and going to the market. Orpheus hovered one personâs goods, eyes on the handmade dolls. His sister was too old for dolls but he was sure that the teenager would appreciate something like this. So lost in thought, he didnât notice the other standing beside him until they started talking. âOh! OhâŠâ It was such a random thing to say that Orpheus wasnât sure how to take it, standing there for a few seconds before he weakly smiled. âNice joke.â A beat, the smile dropping. âUnless youâre not then, uh, well--â Awkward.
gaelepimelides·:
âReally? Well, what would you prefer?â The falafels had merely spoken to Gael. Ever since he had tried his first one, he couldnât stop shoveling them into his mouth. But Orpheus was right. He needed to try other things. âArenât there a few places to eat around here?â
âWe can still go get something to eat, I am hungry,â he said. âHow about Kikiâs? Iâve tried their stuff once and I liked it a lot.âÂ
casperhahn·:
The beauty was in the eye of the beholder, as they say, and the phrase fluttered into Casperâs mind as the man spoke. Maybe it was meant to come off as more modest. âSeems pretty useful then,â a gentle shrug fell from his shoulders that followed a chuckle. Especially given what the stranger was suggesting, being here for research purposes obviously meant he learned the Greek tongue because of it. âNoâ Iâm not from here,â bits of his southern twang gave him away, âJust here on business.â
âThen weâre both the same,â he said. âNot from here but weâre here for business.â Orpheus wondered if the other had an expiration date like he did. He held out his free hand for a shake. âIâm Orpheus, you are?âÂ
emilyschwcrz·:
@orpheuxmiyamto·
âSo, where are we going today?â It had turned out to be really nice to have someone to explore the city with, and Orpheus had turned out to be an excellent explorer friend. âI was thinking we could check out the cliffs, or go and find some Dolmades?â
âHow about Dolmades first then check out the cliffs?â He said, combining the two. âI have free time today to do both.âÂ
henryfitzgercld·:
@orpheuxmiyamto·
âSo how is the teaching going?â Henry had never made many friends in the other teachers â Pete had been one of the only ones he connected with. Many of his colleagues often thought he was boring because he was into history, or crazy because he taught occultism. âDid you have any break throughs? Any student finally tell you how much you helped them?â
âOh, I didnât tell you?â He asked. âIâm on a break for a few months.â To be here in Greece and complete his fatherâs research. âI teach back in Japan so Iâm far from my students but they still email me if they need anything.âÂ
callypso·:
A meager human holds the coffee shop door for her and she had just apparated through the rain, appearing as if she was always there on rain soaked sidewalks. She wishes to darken the sky completely, to have it be the color of the fierce sea. âThank you, hopefully your manners will protect you in this town.â
âOh, uh, I hope so too?â How exactly should he respond to that? He wasnât sure. âBut Iâm just doing something that any other person would do.âÂ
adelaidevidalis·:
She snaps her fingers together once he recites her last name as if theyâre on jeopardy and he just got the correct answer. âYou got it, thatâs it.â Pep is clearly missing from her voice, sheâs as deadpan as ever and hopes that the generational questions wonât spill over from father to son.Â
âYou guys are rich, right?â A lot of old money he heard, must be nice. His mother was a stay at home mother and his father a professor-- not much money there. âWhen was the last time you saw him?â His father.Â
asterxalseides·:
âYour lunch was indeed puny, like one fit for a mouse.â Aster said with a big laugh that filled the room, âWhy would you not want to win her affections?â If this manâs intentions were not to marry Eurydice then what were his intentions? âShe is not some whore that you can simply bed and be done with, your children will be demigods and this shack is far too small to raise a family of future kings and queens.âÂ
âNow thatâs just an exaggeration.â Maybe compared to Aster it was small but not to Orpheus. He also doesnât answer the otherâs question, not because he didnât want to, but because he didnât know how to. There was nothing wrong with Eurydice, he just... wasnât sure about anything. Nor was he thinking much about romantic or sexual partners. âI never said that she was a whore, nor did I say we were sleeping together.â Did Eurydice say that to Aster and if so, why? There was a lot to unpack there and the demigods part stuck out to Orpheus, though, he chose to ignore it. âListen, I know that this place is small but it isnât my actual home. Iâm not even from here,â he said. âAnd raising children with Eurydice... that has never been on my mind, or herâs, because weâre not together.âÂ
