I swear I can still feel the fangs in my mouth. Such a trip. Seemed so real.
Everything is clear.
As he sits there smoking quietly outside of a house he only vaguely recalls, Aaron is able to remember it all. Even the crimes he committed that led to the massacre of hundreds upon thousands. Regret is something heavy on his shoulders as he sits watching the stars high up in the sky. The cigarette burns in a way he hasn’t felt since the middle ages, longer still beyond his memory. Smoke flutters out past his lips as he runs over his thoughts carefully.
In truth, the only thing that keeps him from losing himself to the past is the memories of something new and constant in his life. It’s surprising how clear memories of the man he’d claimed as his own are even with the fog lifted. Dante is the one good thing he recalls even now as he finishes his cigarette and puts out the embers at the palm of his hand, watching with furrowed brows as ink simmers low with power and heals burnt skin.
Aaron wishes he could forget.
Waking up as an undead being takes Dante by complete surprise. Craving blood is even worse. It had taken him awhile to give in to the thirst and the majority of the day saw him hiding from any sign of light, eyes too sensitive for it. The room had been made to be dark so that at least he had some shelter from that weakness. But even more important was Aaron. He seemed different as well. Really warm for one. Past that though, he hasn't been able to pin point just what's going on with the one who had taken him out of the Chateau. The question of who owns who never comes about. Dante never felt owned. Aaron has never treated him as a belonging, and Dante has no intention whatsoever of treating Aaron otherwise.
The sun finally begins to retreat for the evening and the vampire emerges from his hiding spot. Soundlessly moving through the house, he senses Aaron to be outside, stepping out just as the cigarette is put out in skin. Briefly his nose wrinkles at the smell of skin burning as he quietly makes his way over to sit on the bench beside him. Soft brown eyes observe him quietly, and even if he couldn't pick up on the feeling circulating through the shaman, he'd know something is up.
"Are you alright?", come the quiet words, slipping a cool hand along Aaron's forearm and he moves in closer. "Something's clearly bothering you." He's not pushing to know what's on that mind of his, but rather letting him know that he's there as he's always been. He leans in and presses a gentle kiss to his cheekbone, taking a wild guess as to what may be eating at his equal. "I know this is hard. I'm not sure what to make of it myself but... we'll make it work, yeah?" With his arm linked with the other's, his hand runs along that warmer bicep, cool fingertips tracing tattoos softly.
When arms cradle him as a child, Aaron circles arms and legs around that warmth he’s missed so dearly. Ankles lock together at the small of a broad back as fingers smooth across a face he’d nearly forgotten. For the first time in months does he feel safe, relaxing completely against those arms carrying him upstairs and nearly nuzzling at his Bear’s warm throat. It’s comforting being able to curl his arms around wide shoulders and remember the safety of it. A part of him relaxes further and he doesn’t even startle when the feeling of sheets are at his back. Instead there is a quiet little smile, something rare and genuine as he looks up at his Bear so changed yet similar all the same.
Each kiss has him leaning up further, eyes falling shut languidly as fingers impatiently smooth across skin and feel muscles he hadn’t quite remembered being present. Laying back, Aaron watches the shirt be cast aside and eagerly returns his arms around those shoulders to hold Dante close, to make sure he wouldn’t vanish as before. Despite his eagerness though, the kisses are slow. The vampire takes his time with gentle pressure and slow careful licks of his tongue until finally saccharine warmth is nearly flooding his senses. Aaron presses in closer, body yielding to those calloused fingertips as he tastes the heat of Dante’s mouth with soft little whimpers.
Even words can’t describe how he’s missed his Bear. Laying there beneath him, fingers threading through dark shorn off hair, Aaron feels calm. Coherency is something he rarely grasps save for moments like this with the human at his side. Sighing and pushing into the kiss, that rare side of him nearly all but displays itself out for the other man. Vulnerable and wanting it is but at the center of it all, it’s him. The man he was before the madness and the change.
Dante makes him feel human.
The vampire has no body heat and yet he feels so warm to Dante. Of course even though his Master feeds on him, the human doesn't really see him as the vampire, but the person who cares for him. Slow yet passionate, he kisses his vampire with the intention of making up for lost time. Making up for the time he spent as a scared puppy hiding behind his owner than the strong bear the man has taken to calling him. "Damn I've missed you so much," he nearly whimpers out against lips.
Dante's warm hands travel down Aaron's smooth and toned tattooed body. Not letting himself get too eager either, he still manages to put all of himself in kissing him. Nipping at those lips, his own begin to follow his hands along the vampire's body. Kissing, biting, licking, sucking. Not even the slightest bit of skin goes without attention. His hands grasp at hips as he kisses down v-lines leading to the waistline. Fingers start to work on getting Aaron's pants undone while lips kiss down over material, firmly running over the outline of his vampire's cock. Even if they were to do nothing at all but cuddle and hold each other, Dante just wants to feel the skin of the one he's missed against his own. In it's entirety.
A soft groan escapes him as the belt.. the button... the zipper are undone and he gives a pull to yank down pants and any undergarment that is present. It's all gone and on the floor beside the bed. With a smile, he pulls back, just enough to catch the view that he only saw in his thoughts and dreams. His memory. And now here it is laid out in front of him. "So beautiful," he whispers, running his hand along bare, strong thighs. He leans back in kissing along Aaron's inner thigh before his lips brush along length, his own hand going to his own belt and pants to expose the rest of his skin,
How long has he been out here, sitting in the cold sharp night air? Arthur has stared down at his bloodied hands with knit brows and struggling to remember to breath. The Omega is distressed to say the least and he doesn’t dare approach his parents for comfort. He can’t. Now that he’s exiled, what right does he have? Briefly going to Alec comes to mind but then he remembers the night he went to talk to the vampire and found only moaning cries of ‘Harder, right there!' in Alec's own voice.
So here he is, trying hard to ignore the screaming in his head and hugging himself tightly on the front porch of his prospective mate who is more interested in dying than living, surviving, with him. Arthur lets his head sink lower and his eyes fall close. He doesn’t know when but he starts crying and he’s not certain if he’ll stop.
Since being back in the city, Dante's been more open to pushing himself out of his comfort zone. Facing his fears of leaving the premises of Aaron's home. Being sent away to that fighting camp really did wonders for the human, but there was still a lingering sense of being afraid. Of feeling the need to look over his shoulder at every step, in fear that he'll be taken hostage yet again. He managed to live through it once. He wasn't sure it'd end the same way if it were to happen again, but he wasn't going to let himself be afraid anymore and he knows that's a lot of the reason why Aaron had sent him away. His Master didn't want him to be afraid anymore. Dante recalls practically begging Aaron like a child not to make him go, too scared to not be hiding behind him. But it's something Dante is grateful for now. It's made him stronger.
As part of his push to face his fears, he began to take little walks. Re-familiarizing himself with the city's atmosphere. Sure, it was still dangerous, hunters or not, but it was the vampires and wolves he was more comfortable with. Didn't make him any less aware though. He's heard of recent events and isn't so willing to be apart of it. Soon, as he walked, he made his way from the vampire side of the city to the wolf side. It was good for him, to see that the city was as it should be and not in the disarray that he remembered it to be while under attack. Hearing the sound of someone crying though puts it all aside as he looks around for the source. A guy sitting on the porch of a house. He slowly comes to a stop, eyes narrowed in concern even though he's never seen the man before. He knows it's a stupid question, to ask if he's alright because clearly he isn't, so he asks the first thing that comes to mind. "Do you need help?" Dante steps out of the street, just a couple steps closer towards the other man but careful to be mindful of staying off the property. He probably should have minded his own business, but he didn't feel right just continuing to walk and leave him to himself.
Unfortunately, love, that’s exactly what some of them want. If you’re careful, I’m sure you’ll be able to avoid such situations entirely though. I certainly hope so; hunters are very cruel creatures, I’d assume you’ve been through enough for one life time.
I also know that some rely on the expectation that a slave will back down and not fight at all. If it's going to be a "damned if I do, damned if I don't" situation, I'm going to swing for the fences.
Out of curiosity, how do you propose to prepare yourself for such a thing?
Months go we had an issue with hunters and I was one of the slaves to be taken hostage. They did very mean, unspeakable things to us for, well, it seemed like an eternity but I think it was a week, give or take. I was a nervous wreck about everything when he finally got me back, so he sent me away to learn self defense, so I would feel safe past hiding behind him. I know compared to vampires and wolfs, my strength is nothing as a human, but I don't intend to go down without a good fight.
Most choose not to, I presume. I’ve heard some have trouble in that department. I mean no harm to claimed nor unclaimed slave, however, so it doesn’t make much difference to me.
Good to know. Luckily that sort of thing hasn't come my way yet, but if it ever does, I'll be ready for it.
No, of course not. My apologies. I completely missed the bracelet. For a moment I thought you were unclaimed.
It's cool. Most don't know these days.
The chateau isn’t cold enough for you yet, I assume?
I don't stay at the Chateau.
Do you prefer winter?
Much more than I prefer sweating my ass off for no reason.
"Covaire can use to cool down a lot more."
A quiet sort of nod is given. It makes sense yet it still is unnerving seeing him so changed. Either way he smiles further, staring at a face familiar either it’s unfamiliarity. Fingers arch, curling outward at the feeling of those warm hands along pale skin. How entranced he is, staring at the other man, smiling further at him. Excitement leads him to signing faster, fingers nearly shaking with relief he can’t quite figure out how to express. Even when Dante draws away to go and grab his things, he can’t help but lean up into the kiss because it’s what he can tell they both want.
Sighing into it, agile fingers take the bag and set it inside as his free hand snakes through dark hair to pull his Bear in closer. A brief sort of nip is given at a lower lip before he part if only to speak slowly as he traces the swell of a lip with his tongue. ‘Worried about you. Missed you.’
Dante sighs quietly. Content. Finally he's home. It's seemed so surreal after so long of grueling fight training. Surreal. Up until that moment when their lips meet. That's when he knows he isn't dreaming yet again of being there at home with Aaron. A faint groan slips free at the nip of his lip, smiling at those words. It all makes him want Aaron even closer. He's spent too long away from him.
Strong hands run along thighs and pick the vampire up, even easier than he could before. He steps inside with Aaron in his arms and kicks the door closed behind him and carries him up to the room, legs wrapped around his waist. Walking up to the bed, he gets up onto it with his knees and lays Aaron back, though staying right with him, smiling down at the vampire. "There's nothing to worry about anymore. I'm here. I'm right here," he says softly before kissing him tenderly. Using one hand for balance, he uses the other to pull his own shirt off, tossing it aside before lowering back down, letting his lips kiss on skin as his hands roam.
When you closed your mouth so tight that even the jaws of life couldn’t pry them open.
Maybe I just don't have anything to say.
Please, I’m a psychiatrist- everything you say is confidential.
Since when did this become a therapy session?
Interesting. Are you an introvert or just hiding something?
I like the manners, nice touch.
