A flat plate of mixed G27 cut into pieces for my collaboration with Willem
To be continued
In this ‘failed’ sample I tried to just use the cup as a mold, where I would pull it up at the exact time. It didn’t really work out and I got a strange outcome.
The purpose was to create a higher sample, cause all my samples are around 10cm and I still want to create a higher and bigger one.
This sample contains out of 200gr of G27, where it’s normally always 100gr.
A sample I made with my original welded frame where I could control everything, I personally like it because it’s a very closed one, there are like a few peepholes where you could see one fine line going from top to bottom. A shame with this one is that I had to cut of a piece of my steel bar because the G27 was stuck on it and I didn’t want to destroy the sample.
Another one with the same frame, in this one I tried to mix several colors with each other, it worked, some nice details!!!
A new G27 sample I made with the easy frame where I just pull it up from one side, hereby I was mainly experimenting with with the color fading which I wanted to create, and it worked, there is no paint involved, it’s just the G27 with the plastic ink in, normally you mix the ink untill the whole liquid becomes your color, but I just put the ink in without mixing it, hereby it creates a fading effect which I like alot
This is part of my collab with Willem, I made a painting on rectangular pieces of wood and then changed the position of these pieces to create a new composition!
