A member of my parish, Mihaela, passed this morning after a long battle with cancer. She had gone back to Romania to be with family. Her husband is still here in the States. Prayers for her and her family. Lord have mercy.

It's one of my best's friend's dad who is in the hospital and isn't doing well.
Many emails have been requesting my full story. My daughter was born Feb. 9, during the Hour of Mercy, but the challenges have not stopped there. Still we wait to be discharged, as her health and my own temporarily declined.
I pray for St. Valentines Day, Portia and I will be discharged, headed home to our family. I know you all wait with anticipation, but I’m a mother, and a wife, and I give myself to my family first. In a short time I will write my beautiful love story, and I hope it fills your hearts with as much joy to read it as it was for me to live it.
May the Lord Jesus Christ, the Mother of God, and all the saints safeguard you and yours.

The thing I love most about orthodoxy is that I have never been force fed one interpretation of the Bible and told that all others are wrong. The church provides us with the traditions and services and faith, but I have never been forced to follow strict rules. Not to mention that everything about the services are beautiful!

I just thought I would share with you guys. I had a really rough night and I didn't know what to do or where to go. I ended up saying evening prayers for the first time in months and now I feel at peace. It's amazing how God can help.
