THE THREE MARIAS // June - July 2016

Theatrical Performance by the group LABBODY in a Psychiatric Hospital with the actresses Alice Pereira (Portugal), Cristina Gomes (Portugal) and Tamar Aznarashvili (Georgia).

Based on the book Novas Cartas Portuguesas, this performance by 3 ac- tresses pays homage to a ground-breaking book written by 3 women writ- ers – aka The Three Marias – in a time when the word “woman” meant also social barriers, sexual repression and symbolic silence. In this per- formance, The Three Marias show that they can invent new words, new meanings, and more important than that, new roles. The three characters are fighting with visions and voices, painful memories, sexual discovering, games, changing points and growth inside of the Hospital room. The sounds, the video and the live music will transport us into their surreal world.

My final work for Laboratório Multimédia class, Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto. Image and sound were captured simultaneously, at night, in long exposure and ambient audio recording during the exposure time. The resulting pictures and sound were presented with video mapping techniques.

For an assignment of Laboratório Multimédia class, Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto. I created an algorithm based in stochastic events given by 3 cubes for taking some photos with the concept of triangle of photography (ISO, F-stop and shutter speed).
