I get to whine for a while, and there ain't nothin you can do to stop me.
I'm tired. I'm tired of people like Michelle Bachmann being in office. I'm tired of assholes on the internet. I'm tired of failing at everything I attempt. I'm tired of looking at myself in the mirror and seeing all that wasted potential. I'm tired of being a disappointment to my parents, even if they won't admit it. I'm tired of the constant, nagging fear of what I'm going to do when I get out of college. I'm tired of the looming terror that is paying off my student loans. I'm tired of putting on that goddamn fake smile, and pretending I'm alright. I'm tired of the nightmares, of hurting all the time, of not being able to hold a knife for fear that I'll use it to slash my wrists open. I'm tired of turning to one of the people who broke me so thoroughly to keep me grounded. I'm tired of being so broken. I'm tired of hating all the happy people I pass just because they're happy. I'm tired of hearing about how happy my roommate's boyfriend makes her. I'm tired of eating at the diner down the road. I'm tired of not having a kitchen to cook in anymore. I'm tired of living in filth. I'm tired of being afraid to burden people with my problems. I'm tired of being afraid of betrayal. I'm tired of eating cup a noodles. I'm tired of being so damn tired all the time. I'm tired of pretending to be strong. I'm tired of feeling so inadequate. I'm tired of the world constantly shitting on me. I'm tired of being sad, and angry, and afraid, and unable to remember the last time I was honestly happy. I'm tired of these reasons not even being the tip of the iceberg. I'm just so tired.
I won't give up, but it certainly seems like the better option.
