 ( kofi siriboe. cismale. he/him. social cues & cage the elephant. ) well, would you look at osei ferreira this year? i believe they have been training for 20 of their twenty-eight years of life. this makes them a proficient skilled level hunter in their family, but they’re also pretty good at gardening. when dusk falls, you can usually find them heading home to queens by walking.

It helps him with sharpshooting at night. Some scars scattered across his body from close encounters, and a burn mark on his back.

BACKGROUND

Osei was found by his parents at a young age. They would tell him that he was the lone survivor as a supernatural attack when he was old enough. However, he was really the survivor of a hunting expedition gone wrong. No supernaturals were in the building, and this was merely a failed mission. This is still all unbeknownst to him, and even more unknown to him is he wasn’t the sole survivor.

They took him into Queens, where he pretty much has stayed. He was trained defense tactics at a young age beside his adopted siblings. Part of the teachings would lead to his current double life. Half the day as a lawyer that helps people get off or plead their innocence. The other half he goes to the streets to practice the age old cleanse. Osei is one for the long con, waiting for a supernatural to do something, so it gives him probable cause to kill them. Finding he’s hunting more as an obligation to the family that took him. It’s his sworn duty.

Even though he has his law degree, he still doesn’t feel that’s enough. So he still attends online classes to random subjects and two to three in person classes along with his working schedule. 

TENTATIVE BACKGROUND

Don’t really want to go too much into Ferreira’s since he’s the only one right now. & that leaves more brainstorming when more come along! Please bring more!.

Birth Family (FCOC) - Birth family maybe Osei doesn’t know, or maybe he’s known them for a few years now. 

Adopted Family - The Ferreira’s & their dynamics please!  Hunting Partners - Osei has always been more of a defensive hunter, this made his parents uneasy that he should hunt alone. Throughout the years they’ve sent him with a hunting partner hat’s more offensive with their tactics.

Stop breaking the law asshole - Clients, mainly hunters, that he’s had to represent in court. Maybe he’s gotten them off, and maybe he failed. Some of them cause a headache when they call, and some are just a one in a blue moon. Either way.  Roommate - With work, school, the hunting, he doesn’t have the patience to own his own apartment. I see him sharing a 2-3 apartment with someone. It would be located in Queens, but maybe he doesn’t know this person... isn’t 100% human. Maybe they are. 

Exes - Due to his schedule and internal conflicts he hasn’t had many serious relationships. Most of the time his flings reach a point where he self sabotages them. Causing the relationship to turn toxic in the end. He has probably been engaged a few times, and those engagements went no where. 

Ride or die - His bff since they were younger. He isn’t exactly sure if they’re human, but he’s sure of one thing - he doesn’t want to know.

“sweet” she answered not needing to give it much thought. “definitely something sweet.”  aslı had a sweet tooth and always preferred to go for sweeter options when given a a choice. “a bad experience with sour shots has put me off of anything sour for the rest of my life i think.”

He blinked at her as she quickly answered sweet. Osei wasn’t quite expecting it, but he nodded to. her. “In that case their strawberry lemon daquiri isn’t all that bad. Here, I’ll get one and then you can taste it.” Before giving it much thought he motioned to the bartender to get the drink. “Oh.. one of those experiences, huh? What happened?”

“i am just really glad that the met gala didn’t end up with falling crows, a founding family member being murdered again or everyone getting trapped against their will. wouldn’t you agree?” bruno swirls his drink some before taking a quick sip. he had just gotten done with all of his clients for the day & went to his usual spot in manhattan nearby his work. “though if something did happen, my schedule would end up being even more booked than it is now.”

“I’m just glad I wasn’t questioned this time around.” Osei admitted with a slow rise of his shoulders into a shrug.  “I feel you there Bruno. The firm was busy last time around.” He shook his head slowly bringing his own drink to his lips. “Do you think this sense of normality will get shaken up again soon?”

“yeah .. i’m honestly surprised with myself as well.” lets out a sheepish laugh and glances over at osei. wasn’t sure if she was trying to convince herself or everyone else that she was okay. which she wasn’t. “you care if we change the subject to something else? let’s talk about how you’ve been, haven’t seen you around much.” gives a small smile towards him. 

Osei was curious why they hadn’t just postponed the Met Gala. After they had found her, a person he had been questioned about himself. “yeah, sure.” He offered with a kind smile followed with a nod. “I’ve been alright. Just working, annoying my brother. You know the normal stuff. Without mentioning that other stuff, what about you?”

“Is that common?” Ask asked, not letting the subject go when the other made it seem like their own council member may have not voted. “Decisions happening without all council representatives voices being heard?” The man explained, cocking his head a little.

“I’m not really sure. That would be a question to ask my brother.” Osei offered with a shrug of his shoulders. “Though, I’ll say on the outside looking in things seem broken.” His voice remained calm and nonchalant.

Evren had finished a dance and looked at the people gathered to the dance floor. “Not bad right?” she smiles, whether they danced or clapping to the beat of the music. she tried her best to have a good time. “You look very dashing.” she states with a smile as she turns her attention to the nearest person.

He had also finished a dance with another person. Burning off the extra merry from his drink that flowed through his blood. Osei’s gaze paused down on Evren with a smirk. “Not bad at all.” Giving her a once over at her compliment, he offered her a charming smile. “You look gorgeous yourself. Want to dance?”

At least he was glad she was playing the game with him. Amusement shone through his gaze, and he tore his eyes away for a moment to look over for Cian. Soon he gives up, and looks back to her. “Alright, you put some money on him. I’ll put some money on my brother. I think he had a few before he got here.” He grinned widely.

At the bar Aslı had just ordered herself her usual drink - Riesling . Her eyes lift to the man who’d approached beside her and she smiles just as her drink was placed in front of her .  “I was just thinking about trying something different since it’s a free bar , but instead i stuck to my usual,” she says as she a hand delicately wraps around wine glass.  “But is there something that you’d recommend?”

Osei’s shoulders relaxed while he glanced from her to the bar behind. “The usual is never bad. What I might recommend depends - are you into sweet? sour? both?” he inquired with the curious tilt of his head. For himself he stared down the option of a whiskey sour.

Ash was just scanning the crowed, memorizing who was here and scents, when he saw the familiar friendly face. The man offered Osei a smile and a small nod, a silent greeting as the other moved closer. “If it was discussed it was not done with me in the room.” He replied honestly.

Osei gave a respectful nod in Ash’s direction. “Interesting. I don’t know if my elder sibling would have voted for it either. Ah well, guess we should make the best of it. Good to see you.” Osei murmured with his charming friendly smiling lifting the corner of his lips.

Osei had seen the other before, mainly when he came by the council office to meet his eldest brother. He nodded to Ash since he was a similar face. The hunter was also a regular social butterfly, because social networking was the way to get business at the firm. “Did you all agree to have the Met Gala this year?”

“Miss Kat. Glad we didn’t all gather at the tavern this time?” Osei’s tone was highly teasing as he approached the woman. A friend of his parents, or friendly rival depending on who was asked. “You have any bets going on who’s going to need stitches first?” The mischief blossomed in his dark hues, while he lifted his gaze off her to look around.

A familiar face, but a name he didn’t know. Perhaps he had seen her at the last get together? The quiet questions in his brain started to tick if that was the case. No noticeable rings or anything, so he made a broad assumption that Asli wasn’t here with anyone. Since he himself was solo, he came beside her at the bar and waved. “I like your style. What are you drinking over there?”

Founding families and their silly little gatherings. He remembers being questioned about her, and he remembered the council making a big deal about it. However, he was surprised to see her out and about around the gala. Osei tucked a hand in his pocket, and the curiosity overtook him. Maybe just to get some intel for his brother on the council himself. “Glad that you’re not missing anymore. Kind of surprised you’re at another social gathering so soon.”

It won’t be the ground that greets her when name is called.     No moss growing thick and heavy over her bones.      No hair and teeth left behind while the rest has rotted into the earth.     She supposes there will be many centuries of burning,     pyre only made out of her choices and manipulations.     Like dry wood to a flame,      she had always been conscious of scraping the wound.     She’d let the world burn down to ash if it meant justice for her own funeral during childhood.     Death and more death.   This,   like any other lesson one has learned before her,   is rolled along her tongue as she nods when her name is called,  the paper cup holding her coffee warming her fingers as she wraps them around it.    Finding her way to the corner where there seemed to be a free seat in front of the large windows,   setting her bag of ballet shoes and ballet tape down before sliding onto the seat.   An approach of another draws her thoughts away from primary focus and leaves her glancing up,  mouth set in a firm line -  not rude,  but not overly affable either.    ‘   The seat’s taken,   unfortunately.   I’m waiting for someone.  ‘     @duskstarts​

Osei hummed as he tried to sort the meetings in his phone. The recent nonsense at the tavern had kept him busy with different types of lawsuits. Not to mention it got him some leads on more aggressive supernaturals that should not be around.  He paused in front of Isabella, and furrowed his brows in clear confusion. “Wait. I thought we had a meeting. No? I must have written down the wrong person my bad.” He apologized, though he was certainly amused with this predicament.

“Yeah it almost feels like I am that girl at the sleepover that just gets all of the pillows thrown at her at once and it’s not really fun.” She replied it was the best thing that she could think of at the top of her head. “Yeah of course I can get it done by Monday, any specific time on Monday or just Monday in general.”She asked before letting a small laugh escape from her lips. “Honestly it sounds like you have done that to him before.”

“That doesn’t sound like that much fun. Much more like a headache.” Osei offered with a slow shake of his head. A pleased smile lifted the corner of his lips, “Thanks, anytime Monday is good. I just need it for Tuesday morning, so anytime Monday will do.” He laughs while he pictures his brother’s face. “That’s true. It’s my duty as a younger brother to complicate his closet.”

“i’m telling you, people are absolutely obsessed with me.” places the stack of papers on his desk, a hand going to her lips as she chews on her nails in an anxious manner. what was causing this anxiety? it was the stack of papers that were claims that lavani was slandering various business’ and owners. surely, she was protected … it didn’t mean she wasn’t completely rattled each time it happened. “you still have that stash of bourbon i left here from last time?” pacing around the office, then stopping to raise a brow at him.

Osei’s eyes traveled towards the thick pile of papers with a nod. “I can see that. They’re lining up with their coin purses.”  He started to sift through the mountain of paperwork, and cast her an eye from behind it. “Actually I do, have a seat and we’ll take care of these claims. I don’t expect them to go anywhere. Most people don’t know true slander anymore.” he reassured her and stood up from behind his desk to fetch the bourbon.
