I did this whole thing and didn't include a single album by the shins despite them being my favorite band in middle school. lays a tender hand on the grimy mirror... I hardly recognize myself

#I didn't post an update here but the missing spot went to 3 feet high and rising #also a very important and formative album to me lol i LOVED that album as a kid #eye know is still one of my favorite songs ever so it def earned its place but I do feel a little sad i left out the shins #I'm not sure which of these albums I'd replace but in its stead would go wincing the night away

#there’s two main sides here split between rock-ish (grunge neopsychedelia etc) and shibuya kei. machine girl and breathe carolina are the #outliers here. especially the latter #mine #not sound
