Saw this lovely guy while chasing an elusive elegant trogon up and down the creek--I never did see it--but that didn’t matter so much when I and a couple other birders got some great views of this beauty, a lifer for me.

My first burrowing owl, and as someone had posted on ebird, it was truly a strange location for a burrow. This would probably be my expression if I lived in a bank parking lot at a boring intersection in Tucson.
