Holy hell guys I have not posted in mcfuckin yonks I’m so sorry I just have not had any ideas for a w h i l e. Love you all for sticking with me!
I'm stuck on writing romance. I want person A and B to be complete strangers and somehow end up loving each other. I keep writing love at first sight. I don't want it to be cliche.
It is generally cliche to have love at first sight, seeing as it doesn’t happen in real life. What people call love at first sight is attraction at first sight. If you don’t want it to be cliche, have them attracted to each other straight away, but not ‘in love’, build up their relationship, don’t just rush straight into it.
Okay so, I have received quite a few messages about how love at first sight is rare but real. I will admit that it can be real, but that doesn’t change the fact that in stories and novels it is seen as cliche and has been used many times over. So yes it can happen but it’s much more captivating storytelling to have them fall in love slowly and over time, not all at once and have little to develop their relationship further.

When A and B play video games B likes to let A win from time to time, no matter the blow to B’s pride, because they loves the way A jumps up and down and laughs when A wins.

Dialouge Prompt
"I-I'm impure, unclean, damaged property. Why would you even want to be near me, let alone be with me?"
I fucking love these posts! Holy fire setting garbage! This is a great mother effing blog! Great fucking work!!
Aaaaa bless man you actually just made my day tysm!!!!
So I'm just tipsy and philosophical after assignments, but so many prompts seem centered on characters saying exactly what they feel/need when that's pretty much the last thing that happens in a lot of storytelling. Why do you think that is? This is purely for fun as I'm not invested much, just pondering.
Well, I think it’s because when people are writing stories they need more conflict, and for the story to drag on a bit whereas prompts are mainly used for shorts stories with a lot of emotion, whereas in novels and such it’s a mix of emotions and to reveal them straight out wouldn’t create as much drama??? I’m actually not entirely sure but there you go, comment why you think this is.
Dialouge Prompt
“You’ve got beautiful people lined up at your feet! You have millions admiring you! Why does what I think of you matter?”
“Because you’re the only one I care about! The only opinion that matters! Why can’t you see that?”
Dialouge Prompt
“I really want to kiss you right now”
“Then do it”
A wakes up one night to hear B moaning in their sleep. They get incredibly turned on by the sound and do everything they can the next day to hear it again.
Dialouge Prompt
“But dear don’t you see? It’s only ever been you.”
Person A has a very unique laugh. A and B are close friends and B hears their laugh a lot. One night B is walking A home, and A is laughing uncontrollably. B pins A against their door and whispers into their hair; “fuck, I love that laugh.” A isn’t laughing so much anymore.
Dialouge Prompt
“You’re not taking me to bed. Ever.”
“Who said it had to be on the bed?”
What about person A \B having mental or emotional disorders Like multi personality or bi polar And them trying to find ways to cope with being a ship and having the disability\disorder
Aaa I’m sorry my dude I don’t know enough about these disorders to accurately make prompts about them, sorry!
