Hey sports fans!
I made you a mixtape of non-native English speakers singing some of the grooviest tunes there ever was. Check it!
—-Eddie
From the '50s–'70s, the Western sounds of garage, freakbeat, rock & roll and psych influenced the entire world. Most overseas listeners were hearing the English language for the first time—the radio was their Rosetta Stone. So when they decided to recreate the music they loved, they often just *parroted back what they were hearing with varying levels of accuracy.
The result was an admirable and unique "covering" of not just the tunes, but the language as well. Hear now a mix of non-native English speakers from Japan, Ethiopia, Belgium, Brazil, and beyond sing their favorite English language classics (and some originals, too) that celebrate a borderless musical sensation.
*The last track is an actual parrot.

New blog!
Hey folks,
I made a new Tumblr for my radio show on XRAY.FM
Mr. Ghost Goes to Town
On it, I will post links where you can hear my show, as well as other audio-visual stimuli that makes you feel all funny down there.
Each show is themed, and explores the roots, branches and mulch of rock’ n’ roll. I focus on wild, weird and dirty pop, novelty and dance tunes mostly from the 20s through 60s.
And here’s my Mixcloud page.
