My latest piece. Ink and collage on paper.
Kaleidosnoot!
handsome crow
Involved doodle of crow on my new tablet.
This majestic creature is my dog, also known as Bobby. I like to hold a treat in up for him and he essentially jumps into my lap and hilarity ensues. He is very snuggly.
I used to carry my camera with me everywhere. Here’s some interesting things I found over the last 9 years. Of course I have hundreds more which will hopefully get to post soon ish.
Latest exhibition piece, titled Fantasmasgoria.
ink and collage on paper.
fleeting thoughts - a idea for painting
I have been after the idea of painting with pigments and bare minerals for sometjme now.
My initial idea was to just spray the surface down and then throw on the pigment and see where it takes. But I also like the idea of a series of childlike figures ala Margaret Keane merged with a watery distortion ala Marlene Dumas. with this kind of technique.
This feels like it's going back to playing with the ideas surrounding corrupted innocence again.
When i eventually get my pigment, I will of course be going down both routes but I thought I better write this idea down before I get distracted and move on to something else.

Dog breed illustrations part 2
I thought the first post was getting rather long, so here i'm starting another. As of today, saluki, rough collie, Jamthund, malinois, St Bernard, Keeshond, Irish setter, Doberman, Epagnuel Breton, Basset bouvier de flandres.
My favourite is the collie. Of course, it stands to reason, I'm totally besotted with rough collies 🥰
There will be more on the way!
Dog Dust - Ceramics and intaglio prints
I have set up a brand new, shiny shop. I'm currently working through my ceramic makings one at a time. There's a lot to get through but we're getting there. If you fancy treating yourself or someone in your life to a little animal sculpture and supporting a small artist, i would be most grateful if you were to shimmy over for a look!
Ceramic beasties
some of my recently completed ceramics.
Top, left to right...greater sooty owl, spooky cats, stygian owl. I will be making mooore of these!
And... My tropical pride themed tapir. Soon to be available on my shop!
So there's been more illustrations in the way of dog faces. My personal favourite is the borzoi and the border collie but I'm biased. There will be many more to come of these.
Continuing the dog project, here's a Deerhound.
More dog. I updated the shiba with some rendering. The other dog is a Dogo Sardo, a working breed from Sardinia used for herding, guarding, hunting, protecting livestock and bringing in wild cattle.
What interested me in this dog was the variable appearance- some have wiry coats, some have smooth coats but they're all big, powerful dogs , somewhere between a mastiff and a livestock dog, some looking slightly lupine.
I've been practicing my digital painting. The first is a concept for something horrible that crawled out of the anaerobic digester in my comic series.
The second is a fairly self explanatory picture of a shiba inu dog, though it's also part if a larger project.
