The Alright Hulk
I stood in my power stance as the final coat of green was applied on me, that was it, this marked my transformation to becoming the most power superhero of them all. I held both my hands in a fist, balled up, ready to punch my way through all adversity. I was the Incredible fucking (I wasn’t old enough to use this word yet) Hulk.
“RAAAAAAAH” I screamed in the vacant hallway, no response whatsoever, of course, I was terrifying, my power roar was so deafening no one dared to confront me. I made sure each stomp of my feet resonated and seeped through all the doors of all my neighbours. I need all the kids in my floor to know who’s boss, my mom tried her “shushhhh” technique, that may have scared little old me, but she made the mistake of helping me transform. I was the God damn (again, I didn’t speak like that as a kid) Incredible Hulk.
MASHHHH as I pushed open the door to my school bus, I stared at each of them, those puny human beings I called my mates. Some turned themselves into little fairies, one of them dressed as a truck, none of them a match for me. I slammed my green fists together, once again RAAAAAH I went, most of them tried to hide it, but I knew they were scared, no doubt.
I stared out the glass window, seeing all the tall buildings, country parks and other cars go by. What were once things that seemed so huge, tall and out reach I could dominate with one punch. POW POW POW punched the glass (lightly, I was just a kid with puny fists), the bus nanny came to me and told me stop, she thought she could stop me, how naive. I felt a sudden deceleration, closely approaching is my territory of domination, my kindergarten.
The bus stopped, I hopped off my seat, ready to claim my domain, then I saw him. A devilish creature that even myself, the Almighty Hulk could not defeat. His eyes spiralled of a dark red substance, his teeth extended down to his chin, it was a creature straight from anyone’s nightmare. He approached me with the most intense death stare, I felt a sense of danger that I could overcome with my powers, the little me inside began surfacing. Throughout the entire day I felt weakened, drowned in fear, others seemed to be immune from his tactics, but I was the only one who saw his malicious potential. I was in tears whenever he approached, that devilish vampire had the best of me, the ultimate archenemy of the Hulk.
When I was in kindergarten, there was this kid who dressed up as a vampire, I was scared shitless.
