HI HI HELLO AND WELCOME !!!!!!

this is mainly an au/rewrite of crk thats centered around these freaks (vv) but also contains so much more with other sorts of guys !!!!! (more info can be found here)

the main premise is that ouroboros has been designated as the caretaker of the beasts as children, and they were outrageously horrible at it, resulting in the beasts being maladjusted and predisposed to corruption after they were exiled into a cauldron to boil away their ‘impurities ’ . (not necessarily the ONLY reason why they corrupted… but it certainly did help).

however, much like how a cycle returns to a state once more, ouroboros was bound to return, appearing in the image of a “cream critter” known as cream cake weasel AFTER the beasts are defeated and they are kept a watchful eye on within their respective ancients’ kingdoms (keep in mind that a lot of act 2 IS STRICTLY NOT CANON! though some inspiration is taken off of it. consider the ‘ouropocalypse’ if you want more). of course, the wretched weasel is driven off after a lot of their bad acts come to light, but it does leave the beasts reckoning with the past they washed out of their minds, and it even gets the ancients questioning their own childhoods as well!

“gee are we gonna get more-“ you are going to get more rapt. from a character i have not talked about at all yet. to be fair SHE DOES HAVE IMPORTANCE GUYS dakai has a daughter and her name is chieko and her friend WAS chae-hwa (who is actually carrow yknow) . ok now let me get in on about her

SO she has a dad and his name is sven :) (who is second watcher! fun fact!) and she was actually born when sven was pretty young and aimless about life in general but they grew close because really … svens friends were sorta drifting away from him from Best Friends to Good Friends which is about the same to Sven but not really. and chae-hwa had no friends in general AT FIRST but then shes friends with crosby (crunchy chip) and you guessed it… CHIEKOOOOOO… (dark chocolate) her and sven were exceptionally close due to Sven being the “fun parent” but really he was also especially neglectful during it. chae-hwa didnt really have the words to describe it at the time because she was like sixteen ish but she did lash out at him for reasons she couldn’t understand (that were valid in its own right anyway)

instead of ACTUALLY communicating with his teenage daughter about teenage moments he instead goes to his two adult man friends, one being generally unresponsive (dakai fashion) and one of them (alfred) (affogato) (yes his name is ALFRED its so good thank you blimbo. but he prefers to be called freddy) instead suggests to ABANDON HER ON THE STREETS (“temporarily!”) because according to him she might be developing bpd (i mean she was later diagnosed with it but this did almost ruin her life) . so then chae-hwa was later homeless with QUITE LITERALLY NOTHING and WITHOUT WARNING for around three months where she was slowly getting her life together even but it turns out sven has regrets over the situation even with alfred almost convincing him to leave her for longer and he drives back to her. and despite everything chae-hwa cant seem to let him go. ok thank you for your time

What's going on with 'grouper' and 'clownfish' in the fucked over by the creme republic group photo? Do the quotations mean they're temporary names?

the reason theyre in quotations is because… nobody really knows if that’s their actual names. since crimson coral’s pod was quite literally just her + her baby siblings and MAYBE a few others, she desperately needed new members and fast. though its not a common practice, crimson coral actually chose to taken in lone swimmers as a form of refuge, forming the ‘kingdom of tearcrown’ as a result! both ‘clownfish’ and ‘grouper’ were really, really young when they were taken in and they couldn’t speak yet, so nobody really knew their names. they were named after the fish they took most likeness by (just imagine like. candy equivalents. gummy clownfish etc etc) grouper’s name was jsut up in the air since there’s a lot of grey fish in the ocean you know. they’re not gem mermaids, though they did think they were to an extent …

but while they don’t have gems, i think their specific ‘type’ (forgot the word for it) is still at immense risk of poachers since they can be especially bright and colorful, and it’s their ‘scales’ that are harvested so to speak. clownfish narrowly managed to escape, and it was grouper who died. they’re especially resentful now, both of themselves and of the sick and cruel world they hatched into. they stick by crimson coral now post-black pearl while she’s busy trying to rebuild her kingdom (after a second attack that’s wiped out most of her population, she’s real shaken and disillusioned). clownfish wants to be her second hand, but she’s just… tired. she can’t go on anymore. and it hurts them even more seeing that. still, as someone who she’s watched grow up from someone very little, she still holds a fondness for them- almost like the fondness she held for her baby sister, but not quite. nothing would ever match up to that.

most of the population, fun fact, was brought in by cream jellyfish (frilled jellyfish) (shes a CREAM CRITTER) (she/they) who crimson coral initially accepted to take care of white pearl while she was busy with the work, but also as a matter of recruits, because it turns out anyone’s just more willing to join when there’s a cream critter involved. generally, they sign good will- it was a VERY bad omen when cream jellyfish was attacked.

ok...i was wondering what are your thoughts on gender as a construct in the cookie world? like that's obviously a bit of a general sweeping question bc each individual culture within the world would have differing social expectations (if any!) re: gender and various consequences on the back of that. BUT...it's intriguing to me as like. the concept of reproduction for them isn't considered the basis of the heteronormative ideal of marriage, or even marriage/romantic relationships at all, as only one cookie's dough is required to create a child dough! (not getting into the MyCookie situtation here. that's a whole other can of yikes 🫣). however, they use pronouns...and differentiate each other via the usage of pronouns. just wanted to know what you made of it all!

Oh boy, that's definitely a big one to think about. Unfortunately my answer isn't really super highly detailed and rather kind of just follows a general: A lot of it generally follows real life instances of the construct of gender. Particularly in the whole weird thing some people seem to have with "feminine man vs transgender woman". Wherein, much like in real life, a lot of cookies would rather a cookie be a feminine man. It's of my belief that a lot of feminine dude characters we see struggle with this bullshit, both personally and on a day-to-day basis. Someone go get them all estrogen and tell them they can be women

It's hard to really explain it since it isn't something I really thought about much in the past. Though I can definitely think of some instances of characters who get weird comments about their gender

Espresso (transfem that doesn't realize it yet) would actually have some odd comments towards her especially with her being blasian

Avocado (transfem) already being an outcast isn't helped by her being a butch transgender woman in a world where many would have still preferred her to have "just stayed a man"

Raspberry (closeted transmasc she/him) once expressed something that vaguely suggested he wanted to be a boy instead, and his family's obsession with being relevant again caused strife in that. Many in her family thinking that him wanting to be a boy would "tell everyone outside of the family that she needs fixing"

Tea Knight (transmasc) actually hasn't gotten much bad comments towards him being a trans man, but a certain Close Affiliate/Partner To Espresso definitely has said some weird shit to him

Silent Salt (nonbinary) had always gotten he/him'd constantly. Even when cookies didn't know their gender they still he/him'd them. Which was deeply frustrating in the back of their mind but they kept it hidden

Sugarfly (transfem) I think a lot of her strife with the faerie kingdom and her general struggles with wanting to be a woman was caused by the weird environment cultivated by the kingdom. I see the kingdom as having a sort of "hivemind collective" mindset and her wanting this suggested, to the kingdom, that she was "breaking away from the unity"

My mind's total mush right now but this is really the best answer I can give. And this actually scrapes the surface. At some point I did think over more about potential gender stuff in cookie run's world but I don't know how much of that I subscribe to anymore

OH I SAW THIS ASK. well personally i think it will a little bit! at least wanting to see the first headmaster … i have to admit even though it makes sense that its shadow milk i do not think i want it to be shadow milk. i am considering not making it shadow milk but i truly want to know who else… AND i think its also really funny that technically white lily fucked up TWICE with tartus here (opening the rift as a 1 apples tall baby and not actually dying due to cream cake weasel reviving her) (though that last one truly isnt her fault). nether queen has striking similarities to ouroboros and i am waiting for more information on her to see if i can explore it. You know.
