So uh, hi! Haven't used my old tumblr from years ago, but this will probably one of my primary forms of social media to link my works, along with allowing people to ask me questions or suggest ideas. If you want to communicate with me here, feel free to!
Posted for the Shippers Engage Week run by @daydreamingsommie. I found this pair inspiring; I definitely think they'd have a lot to talk about, as you'll see!

Lapis: There she is. She’s so refined…she must be as highborn as Citrinne. If I can just copy her mannerisms, then—
Panette: You there.
Lapis: Ah!
Panette: You are one of the Brodian retainers, are you not? Is there a reason you were skulking about?
Lapis: Skulking? Me? N-never.
Panette: Solm and Brodia may be allied for the time being, but should you have any intent of harming the boss—
Lapis: The boss?
Panette: Why are you playing the part of a fool? I mean Princess Timerra, of course.
Lapis: So in Solm, a princess is called a boss…gotcha!
Panette: What are you on about?
Lapis: Sorry for the misunderstanding. I was just working up the nerve to approach you. You see, I uh, I know all about Brodian nobility, of course. But we don’t get a lot of folks—er, ambassadors from Solm in Brodia, so I figured I oughta learn about Solmic etiquette.
Panette: …I see. I thought I sensed something amiss.
Lapis: Nothing amiss here, not one miss! Just me, Miss Lapis. Heh…heh…
Panette: No, Miss Lapis, there are two things amiss here. You…and me.
Lapis: Huh…?
Panette: You see, I come from a rough background. I have worked hard to become a retainer worth of serving the princess. That is why it is child’s play to recognize a fellow bluffer.
Lapis: Oh! You, too? But you’re so elegant!
Panette: Why, thank you! If you would still like to learn of Solmic etiquette, I can tell you all I know. A charming young woman such as yourself should have no trouble learning.
Lapis: Gosh, I don’t know about that, but I’ll happily take you up on it!
B
Panette: Hello there, Miss Lapis. What has you scrounging around on the ground at such an early hour?
Lapis: Ah! …Oh, it’s just you, Panette.
Panette: What have I done to earn such an unenthused greeting?
Lapis: No, I’m sorry! I just mean that you already know about my background. Y’see, I was just foraging. Or at least, I was trying to.
Panette: Foraging?
Lapis: Yeah, for any edible plants I could cook up. Our food stores are drying up in this desert—literally. I wanted to help, even if just a bit. But unless someone’s got an appetite for sand, there’s nothing out here.
Panette: What hogwash!
Lapis: O-oh, well, I guess it’s a silly thing for me to be doing when I should be guarding Prince Alcryst…
Panette: No, feeding others is a fine pursuit. Why, if Princess Timerra were here, I’m sure she would be happy to join us.
Lapis: The…the princess?
Panette: Alas, my inferior eyes will have to be your guide. There is an abundance of edible plant life in the desert. For example, this variety of cactus would make a fine meal.
Lapis: You can eat a cactus? But they’re so prickly…
Panette: They require careful handling, of course, but I think you’ll be pleased by the results.
Lapis: Heehee…you’re saying they’re tough, but it’s worth getting them to open up, huh?
Panette: Just what is so amusing?
Lapis: Nothing. Say, you’ve already taught me about etiquette, and now I’m the one learning about plants for once. I’ve got to return the favor somehow. Oh, I know! You’ve got first bids on my next batch of taters.
Panette: Taters…?
Lapis: My parents grow the best potatoes in all of Brodia. In all the world, probably. I don’t think I’ll be able to part with all of them, but I’ll save the best ones for you.
Panette: That is…quite generous. Your parents, you say? Are you close?
Lapis: Close as can be! I mean, I’m on the other side of the world…digging around in the sand…but I’m sure they’re as proud of me as I am of them.
Panette: …
Lapis: You get what I mean, right? Since you’re from a village, too. I bet even Solm’s retainers don’t get to go home much.
Panette: I beg your pardon.
Lapis: Panette?
Panette: I have a prior engagement. I am sure someone as skilled with a blade as yourself can survive an encounter with a cactus on your own.
Lapis: Huh? Hold up, Panette! What was that about?
A
Panette: Miss Lapis.
Lapis: Hey, Panette! Y’know, you can just call me—
Panette: I owe you an apology.
Lapis: Hm?
Panette: When last we met, I left most impolitely. It was unbecoming of a retainer of Solm.
Lapis: You don’t have to worry about all that around me. Can I ask what the matter was, though? I didn’t make you mad, did I?
Panette: My anger was not directed at you. You see, I did not come from a loving home. If I were to find my parents, I do not know if they would be proud of me…but I know they have given me nothing to be proud of.
Lapis: O-oh. You…don’t know where they are, then?
Panette: No. Though, at the time, it was I who had run off. In search of an outlet for my rage, I found targets it would be acceptable to mete out justice to. My knowledge of how to survive—how to fight and forage alike—comes from this dark period.
Lapis: Panette…
Panette: Forgive me. I should not have burdened you with such dreary things.
Lapis: No, I’m the one who’s sorry! I started mouthing off, just ‘cause we had some things in common. I’m sorry I brought up such bad memories.
Panette: You meant no harm. In fact, I have been curious to try these world-class ‘taters.’
Lapis: Then you’re in for a treat! I’ll cook’em up right, to repay you for being so helpful.
Panette: I shall look forward to it!
Lapis: Say, Panette…it’s your parents’ loss, you know.
Panette: Indeed. Wherever they are, I am sure they don’t have such fine taters.
Lapis: Not that. Well, that too. But whatever they’d say, I think you have plenty to be proud of. I mean, look at you! A personal retainer to the princess! You’re brawny, brainy, and beau—er, beartiful!
Panette: Beartiful?
Lapis: It’s, uh, what we call folks who could out-run a bear back home!
Panette: I see! I would love to learn more of your hometown.
Lapis: Are you sure? I don’t want to bring up more bad memories.
Panette: It is all right. I may never be rid of my bad memories, but I’ve accumulated many that I’m proud of. For instance, earning the regard of one of Brodia’s finest retainers.
Lapis: Gosh! In that case, I’d be happy to share some of my stories. I just hope I don’t talk your ear off.
Panette: Never fear, dear Lapis. For you, my ear is firmly affixed.

Hiya everyone! Now that we're getting closer to Ivy Ship Week, we're looking for a few guest artists to help us out with the prompt graphics. Please note that we're only looking to do these for the SFW prompts, as those will be posted onto both Bluesky and Tumblr.
If you're interested in creating promo art for us, or have an art piece that features an Ivy ship that fits the prompt, please fill out the form attached here.
Thank you all so much in advance for your interest!
It's week 6 already, which means we're less than 2 months away from Ivy Ship Week! This week's question is: do you have any fan or adopted kids for Ivy? If so, what is their name(s), and what are they like?
Thank you to @skelezomperman, creator of Holly, @dragoncat91, creator of Spruce, and @hidgey, creator of Garnet for letting me draw and show off their OCs!
This question is partially an excuse to show off my OC, Clover! He's the son of Ivy and Alfred, and in my Future!AU, he's a scientist hell bent on trying to cure the illness that took his father and grandfather's lives, along with helping restore Elusia fully. Here's some art I've drawn of him!

day 8 of my own personal fire emblem femslash february. in my humble opinion, minerva is the og, the progenitor, the ruling queen of fe wlw. like look at her. that's a lesbian. everything about her, textually and visually, reads Gay. and for the pairing in specific, who doesn't love two big sisters looking out for each other after they spent their whole lives looking after their baby sisters?
day 9 of my own personal fire emblem femslash february. i do not CARE if nyna's tragedy is central to her character. she deserves to be happy!!!!! perhaps with a lovely maiden her own age who also experienced tragedy but can maintain a smile on her face.....perhaps....
day 16 of my own personal fire emblem femslash february. julia has some pretty wild design differences between all her official artworks. so i sort of went with my own, primarily keeping her Vibe. i dont know these gals very well, but they Visually look great together.

Who the Hell Is Aubrey Beardsley Anyway? Art Nouveau Inspirations, pt 2
Here is part two in my deep dive into the art that inspired my series of illustrations. You can find part one here.
My fourth illustration was a solo one of Zelkov. He's not really an archetype that comes up in Art Nouveau a lot (men in general don't come up a lot in Art Nouveau), but you can see that I drew from Beardsley's depiction of John the Baptist from Salome.
Although this one seems pretty simple, it was a struggle. There's still some elements that I'm not sure I was successful on (in all my drawings), but I'm not going to tell you which ones because I don't want you to focus on them :)
This illustration originally had a big ornamental border like Ivy's, but I didn't like it. While botanical motifs work for Ivy, they don't work for Zelkov in this context. When searching for other Art Nouveau motifs, one that does show up occasionally is stars. There's absolutely no precedent for it in canon, but I have connected Zelkov with stars in the past, so I went with that. The two stars in my picture are a reference to Zelkov and Ivy, but also to me. Beardsley often signed his art with an artist mark (you can see it in the lower right of his picture above), and I decided to do the same for this series. I put two stars within the border frame on each of my illustrations. (2ofpentacles, two stars, get it?)
So despite not having a huge role in the fic, I wanted to include a picture of Kagetsu, because I feel like he is a vital part in the happiness and success of Ivy and Zelkov's relationship. Kagetsu is certainly not an archetype that come up a in Art Nouveau. However, Art Nouveau — and Aubrey Beardsley in particular — were heavily influenced by Japanese woodblock printing. So I decided to go back to the source, as it were. This led me down the rabbit hole of Utagawa Kuniyoshi. He was, like, THE samurai artist. If you want a picture of a man wrestling a giant fish, he's your guy. You can see in his art (and other Ukiyo-e artists of course) the balance of intricate detail and blank space that informed Beardsley's work.
The characters in the corner of my drawing are supposed to read "flower moon" which in Japanese would be read as "kagetsu." Which is why I made the patterns on his sleeves... flowers and moons. Unfortunately, I didn't have the wherewithal to draw any of that beautiful patterning that Kuniyoshi uses on the samurais' tattsuke-bakama (pants). To be honest, I would never be able to do it justice in black and white. So I used that same curling, almost-botanical motif that is on Ivy's fascinator (because, as character appropriate as it would be, I didn't really want to do onigiri).
So one thing that Beardsley certainly didn't have in his art (and I would even include Mucha in this) is romance or, even more broadly, love. Gustav Klimt, however, portrayed love so intimately. As you can see, my sixth illustration is based on The Embrace which is a panel from the Stoclet Frieze. It's actually kind of a funny coincidence that there are so many eye-like shapes on the man's robe in The Embrace. I also used those same branching swirl patterns on Ivy's dress in my third illustration and her fingernails in this one (because I did not want them to be black or white, but a secret third thing).
While my illustration is very much about love, I tried to leave some hints that all is not well (flower petals falling, the crying or maybe bleeding eye). In this part, Zelkov is overwhelmed by his vampiric instincts (he's a vampire in this story, remember?) because of the miasma. He goes to Ivy for comfort and ends up drinking way too much of her blood. She accepts this and embraces him.
I went through a lot of different compositions for the seventh illustration before settling on what you see here. I made some callbacks to my third illustration (Hedera) which ended up making this one contain elements of Beardsley's The Climax. It wasn't until I put these two images side by side that I realized I had taken the background shapes and switched the colors.
In my drawing, the flowers represent Ivy. The chains are a recurring theme in the fic. Zelkov thinks of them as his self-control, but it's really more him denying himself love. He does also literally get chained up in this scene. He also literally gets a spear stuck through him and vomits blood (don't worry, he's fiiiine).
Because my story ends with a kiss, I decided to base my final illustration on Peter Behren's The Kiss. In keeping with the rest of the series I made it monotone, but might prefer the color version? (in my "vampire" color palette) because frankly I had a super hard time doing it in four colors when the original is in six. I would say that this one is somehow the most typically Art Nouveau yet also the most in my own style (whatever that is) of all my illustrations in this series.
So there you have it. I set myself a big challenge with this, but I completed it, learned things along the way, and tried out some techniques I never would have used otherwise. It was a super interesting experience for me to closely study Beardsley's work as well as the other artists I took inspiration from. If you've read this far, thank you. Hopefully this deep dive was moderately interesting and informative to you.
