There’s nothing like a little UK rock to get your blood pumping midweek. Hailing from Belfast, Ireland and extending their reach as far as London and Rome, Unquiet Nights have been gaining notoriety since their 2011 release, 21st Century Redemption Songs. Taking ’90s influenced rock and roll to the next level with radio friendly riffs and gritty vocals, it’s no surprise that they’ve seen exposure through radio play on BBC and G3 and provided the soundtrack for several television and Internet broadcasts, including ESPN.
I love finding female singer songer right who haven’t quite made it, yet. I hate how overplayed songs are on the radio and it is the same people and songs over and over again. I like finding new music and new artists who deserve to be heard.
Exclusive Q and A: Black Veil Brides Talk Composing, Collaborating, And Classical Music
With their latest release Wretched and Divine: The Story of the Wild Ones, Black Veil Brides take on the toughest of all rock challenges: the concept album. Sweeping in scope, the band’s new album tells the story of a despotic government that aims to destroy science and creativity while turning the youth into drones. Concept albums are notoriously hard to pull off, but the band’s already epic sound seems tailor-made for such an endeavor. We caught up with frontman Andy Biersack to chat about the process of making the album, the accompanying film Legion of the Black, and whether a stage version of the record may be in the future.
If only American Idol would take a cue from their own background music… Recent seasons of the hit game show and now cultural institution have THRICE featured our friends Bronze Radio Return, most recently on last week’s episode. The band have been a song placement machine lately, providing the soundtrack for a recent PGA ad on ESPN, in addition to spots for Nissan, on HBO, and on several prime-time network shows.
For All Those Sleeping Release “Mark My Words” Video
Continuing the hype they’ve built in the last few years, Fearless Records’s For All Those Sleeping have just released their first music video off of their sophomore album, Outspoken. The first single, titled “Mark My Words” is accompanied by a comical video including a preface and conclusion to the video (both sections do not include music), and the entire video can be seen here.
Now with two videos under their belt (one from their first album, Cross Your Fingers), the band seems to have taken their image in a new direction. Originally, we’ve seen the band with brightly colored deep v-neck tees and the punk/hardcore vibes emitted from their first music video and overall presence. Now, it is apparent that the band has turned up the metalcore swag – check it out and see for yourself.
