We have reviewed some best hockey pants of top brands so lets head over the best hockey pants review 2017-2018;
Bauer Vapor X800 Ice Hockey Pants Review
The Bauer Vapor X 800 hockey pants features clasp in the front as well as pull the Titan system so the nylon strap is a really cool feature. It runs along the inside of the pant so instead of pressing pads and other materials into you it’s going to be right out directly on your skin so that way it provides a nice comfortable fit as well as provides extra mobility for the rest of the pant. We also have the traditional ice fastening system right there in the front for a traditional look so another unique feature is the padded belt so we’re going to see nice protection at its the waist line. We also have a one inch extension zipper that starts along the side and runs all around the back for a one inch extension for the taller players out there. Now getting into the protection, we’re going to see a plastic insert topped with medium density foams in the ergonomic kid kidney guard so this is going to have segmentations in key areas to help provide good flex and also a great protection for above the waist below the waist. There is a molded cap protection so this gives you a nice curved molded medium SD foam and plastic insert which can provide good protection right on the side of your leg to provide a solid protection against blocking shots or splashes. We’re also going to see that same kind of design down low with thicker medium density foam and the plastic insert as well as medium density foam on the side to give a nice wrap around your leg without hindering your mobility. Now materials wise we’re going to see a 400-year construction as well as flex owns and key areas we also have flex gusset which is flexible running right along the center as well as along the legs as well providing good mobility. Another great feature is the extension zipper down low for the players that want a wider fit or the players that put their skates on before their pants this way you’ll be able to slide your skates right through there in the back. There is aerolite technology there in the spine guard. Aerolite is high density foam that’s 30 percent lighter than other high density foams but equus protects us you never really advanced piece of protection right there on the back and it’s flexible to ensure that stays on your back. We’re also going to see moving down medium density foams along the back and towards the lower thigh as well which can provide just an extra layer of protection but it’s not going to hinder your skating stride at all we also have flexible material so this material is a two-way flex to provide extra stretch for when you’re skating. We’re also going to see an extension of that stretch gusset a lot more stretch ability out there. The X 800 and the rest of the Bauer Vapor series features a tapered fit so it’s going to be tighter in the hips for an anatomica fit and as you move down, it gets looser for traditional fit in the legs.

The warrior covert QRL 3 ice hockey pant has a nylon strap that’s a pull the fasten right there in the front for a nice tight fit. This is going to run around the waist with a padded design. There is a traditional hockey lace in the front for a secure fit. Now above the waist, there is a molded plastic backed by medium density foams protecting the kidneys on both sides. This can have a nice contouring shape for a very comfortable fit wrapping right around right above the waist. we’re also going to see that same design in the hips as well that is molded plastic topped with medium density foams this is also curved in nature to help contour to the shape of the hip provides great protection there as well. The thick medium density foams which are firm providing great protection for the thighs that’s we’re going to be taking a lot of the shots in the sticks as well. This comes in same design as well with that curve plastic as well as the medium density foams running along this interior of the leg. We’re going to see pleated zippers now this zipper design opens it up for a little bit extra room for the players that want a little bit wider fit or for the players that put their skates on before their pants on top of that. There is elastic running all the way up through the center and additionally through the crotch and the back side is while providing good stretch and allowing it to enhance the skating stride and not to interfere at all. Now there is all a 420 denier polyester design and this is nice and sturdy and durable to go through the normal wears and tears of hockey. In the spine, we’re going to see spine tech which is a nice combination of high density foams and medium density foams as well as a plastic insert for rigidity. This can be a really lightweight and flexible design that way it helps keep your body mobile and allow it to flex and with that protection is going to stay right in place even while it’s flexing as move down we’re going to see on the interior a segmented tailbone guard that runs right down the center a nice contouring fit this provides a nice medium density foam with plastic insert protection as we move down we’re going to see that stretch panel that we saw running along the entry of the legs as well as through the crotch this can provide good mobility. There are a little bit of supplementary protection with medium NC foams running along the back side and as well as the lower thighs. The QRL 3 and the rest of the covert line features the tapered low-profile fit so it needs a little tighter more anatomical in the hips will open up for a looser fit in the legs. It also features a tailored pro-fit to help with the normal hockey stance and to provide a really great range of motion as designed specifically for the hockey stance.

The CCM quick-like QLT 270 ice hockey pants features a nylon belt in the front. The fastened system gives a nice tight lock right across the waist this all is also padded so it’s going to give a nice additional protection to the waistline. We’re also going to see a hockey lace fastening system there in the front for that traditional look as well above the waist there is a kidney guard. Now this is going to be a molded PE design so it offers a great protection to really light weight and it’s also backed by comfortable foam so it has a really nice rest right above the waist. Again we’re going to see those ventilated padded belt and underneath that a one-in-six tension zipper so for those taller players out there we’re able to extend the pant by one inch in length to provide a little bit extra room. There are molded PE hips so this will be the same construction that we saw up in the kidney this was also backed by medium density foams for a nice impact protection and a nice comfortable lightweight fit moving down when you see a molded PE thigh guard. The thigh guard is nice and contouring to the shape of the thigh to offer a comfortable wrap as well offers great protection with that molded plastic and backed by form designs really firm foams that are going to help dampen the impact but also provide a nice comfort for your leg as well. A CCM embroidered logo there on the thigh for a nice professional look. Now in the inside of the legs, we’re going to see a pleated zipper provides a little extra room for the players that like to put their skates on before their pants or just want a roomier fit in the lower thigh. This is right next to the stretch gusset which runs along both sides of the inner thigh this one provides good flexibility. It helps with your skating strides so the pants aren’t going to interfere with that and we’re also going to see that continue as we move up and to the crotch and also into the back side as well. The spine guard is made up of a molded PE so it is nice and lightweight but really sturdy and offers all that amount of protection. This is backed by comfort foam so it is resting on your body to provide a nice comfortable fit this fine guard also flexes so it allows an account for the movement of the body and keep that protection in place without hindering your movements. This extends on the inside to the tailbone guard and is going to segment and contour right around the body to provide a nice comfortable fit listen being molded plastic backed by medium density foams for a nice comfortable protection. Now on the outside when we see that padded belts and moving down, we’re going to see that really lightweight but durable 400 in your nylon allow air to flow through freely to provide a nice cooling and comfortable fit but also be very durable as well. Now as we move to the lower thigh, there are a couple of pads and the extension of that lower thigh guard is also backed by medium density foams and a plastic insert in the center piece and the inside piece features only that medium density foam. So it’s really lightweight but also gives a nice extra protection and comfortable wrap right around the leg. The QLT 270 and the rest of the quick light family features a low-profile fit so it can be designed for those players that like a lot of agility and light weight protection.
Easton Stealth C7.0 Ice Hockey Pants Review
The Easton stealth C7.0 ice hockey pant consists of two small nylon belt straps on each side providing a custom fit as well as the traditional lace fastening system there in the front protection wise and the kidneys. There is a thick medium density foam topped with the molded plastic insert providing solid protection for your kidneys and as we move down we’re going to see Easton’s padded belt with screen printed logos on the outside and underneath there are suspender buttons along the hip cap we have a medium density foams that are segmented and topped with a molded plastic insert and we’re going to see the same kind of construction with a thick medium density foam down on the thigh topped with a molded plastic insert as well on the inner thigh. We’re going to have an extension zipper which allows you to put your skates on before your pants or also for the players who want to have a looser fit down in the legs on the exterior. This is constructed of Dura shell which is Easton’s combination of nylon and mesh providing both the bridge and resistance and air flow where you see that air flow with the mesh around there in the hip area down to the crotch and also in the crotch, we’re going to see a gusset that provides solid flexibility and this extends down all the way to the inner thigh giving you good movement while you stride the spine guard features Easton’s active flex designed so it’s going to have a forward pronation keeping it secure on your back even while you’re leaning forward and it also uses elastic straps on either side so it’s going to move while you move and keep you protected. This piece also extends down into the tailbone on the inside that is a segmented designed with plastic inserts making sure it has a good rap on your body moving down we’re going to see a stretch gusset the continuation of the one on the front in addition to that Darrell back there a little bit more mesh allowing you to have great airflow as well as that abrasion resistance. There are medium density foams which run along the hip and extend down along the back side of the leg. So the C7.0 and the rest of the stealth line feature a tapered fit so it’s going to be tighter fitting in the hips and loosen up for a generous volume fit in the legs.
Reebok 16K Ice Hockey Pants Junior Review
The Reebok 16K ice hockey pants starting off with a kidney protection we have some nice high density foams with a plastic inserts going to offer a nice comprehensive wrap. The padded belts feature some medium density foams and the enclosure system has a basic nylon loop system so if you want to loosen it up do like that if you want to fast forward, it gives a nice tight fit. There are some skate laces right here which is a nice aesthetic look this is an upgrade form of 14K. We’re going to have Reeboks one inch hideaway zipper which is going to add about an inch of length to all the tall players moving into the hips. We’re also going to see Reeboks JDP joint discharge principle which disperses impact away from the fragile joints to the surrounding muscles as well as we’re going to have some of the nice abrasion panels in the high air area. So it’s a great feature to have as far as the exterior goes, there is a much more durable nylon than that 14K with some nice stretch zones with ventilation built within so it’s going to keep players cool and comfortable inside we can see some more stretch which increases the range of motion for players and their strides. We have a basic zipper system right there it offers some great customization and also can help players in their mobility as far as if the iPads go. We’re going to have some high-density phones with the plastic insert. It offers a nice anatomical fit for all for the players as well as Reebok embroidered logo looking at the back of the pan thick you can see how the kidney protection definitely offers a great fit going into the spinal guard which is going to be floating back by some high density foams which is a solid upgrade of the 14K pants. Tailbone is going to be segmented with plastic inserts as well as segmented foams got a really nice comfortable fit. The exteriors going to be the same as what we saw on the front really durable nylon with some stretch like or materials in the back of the thigh is going to feature some nice medium density foams as far as the liner goes. This is extremely soft moisture wicking nylon liner so it’s going to be a solid upgrade of the 14k the fit is going to be contoured fittings does have a nice snug volume in the thighs is continued that way up to the kidney.
Bauer Nexus 400 Ice Hockey Pant Review
The Bauer Nexus 400 ice hockey pant has kidney protection it starts all the way in the back and gives you really a nice wrap all the way to the front. This is going to be some light medium density foams back through the plastic insert so it gives you a really nice wrap and it’s nice and comfortable in the hips. Now as far as the enclosure system goes we have the very basic buckle right there that you could tighten up on and then you also have that classic traditional looking a skate lace lace-up system there that you would tie into a knot so really nice basic traditional lacing system. As far as the materials that they use on the pant, they use a couple different types of nylons they’re able to keep this pant nice and lightweight but very durable so up there you got some lighter weight nylons that’s going to allow for some good breathability but then in the high wear areas, they’re going to step it up give you a little more durable and a little more heavy-duty type of nylons and then they use some stretchy type of material that runs all the way into the crotch and all the way into the back so it’s going to help keep you mobile. So as far as the protection goes, we have some really nice big hip pads there and those are made of the exact same construction and we have in the lower thigh boards so it’s just going to be a nice ribbed wrapped molded plastic insert back with some high density foam and you get some really nice protection whether it’s up in the hips and all the way down into the thigh boards. So now going onto the back, you can see how they carried over that padded belt loop there all the way from the back all the way to the front you get some nice protection in the padded belt line and then probably the most vital part of a pant is the lower spinal protection and this is a really thick layer of high-density foam and then you’ve got some light density foams on top of it too so two layers of foams really nice and protective and almost has a little forward so it’s going to help sit on the back of the lower portion of your spine now going down there is the same materials that we saw on the front with that nice nylon on the sides and then continuing from the crotch, you get a little bit of a stretch material running down the middle and a really cool feature to see is a stretch gusset material but you can see there that you can go ahead and open up the inner portion of the pants expanding them out so you can go ahead and lace up your shin guards and put on your socks and you can throw your skates on and then put your pants on or if you just like a little more relaxed fit, you can open that up and that’s just connected with the Velcro so you can close it up if you don’t like it or if you’re just putting your gear on.
Warrior Covert DT3 Ice Hockey Pants Review
The warrior covert DT3 ice hockey pant’s fastening system consists of a single nylon belt strap as well as a traditional lace there in the front so the covert series is a tapered fit it’s going to be focusing on mobility and flexibility and at the protection will be able to see how you can move very easily and be able to pivot on cue. So in the kidney guard, we’re going to see a molded plastic insert back to with medium density foam that’s going to be able to move and pivot very easily as we move down and see a padded belt with the warrior logo screen printed there on the front and in the hip, there is a medium density foam top on the thin plastic insert again it can be very flexible and very easy to move. moving down we’re going to see a lower thigh guard this is very protective it has a thick layer of medium entity films topped with the molded plastic insert to protect skin pucks slashes. There is a durable nylon material we’re going to protect against all those abrasions falling on the edge up against the boards and there are also some mesh nylon panels which allow air to flow through and keep you cool on the rink. Additionally running through the center, we’re going to see a crotch gusset which enhances that mobility of the pant allows you to stride freely and we’re also going to see more of this mesh material running down through there and that goes down to the extension zipper so for the players like to put their skates on before their pants or the players that just need to lose their fit out there this extension zip it allow you to do that. So the spine guard in the back is constructed of a couple layers of medium density foams to protect that vinyl area and running down from that we can see a tailbone extension on the interior of the pant that’s made of medium density foams that are segmented giving a nice wrap around your body. In addition we have a plastic insert running straight down and protecting your tailbone. We’re also going to see the same materials we saw on the front so that stretch gusset that allows for the flexibility and a bunch of mesh panels which allow the breathability so the warrior covert line and the DT3 feature a tapered fit so it’s going to be a little tighter in the hips while opening up for more generous fit down in the legs. The covert serious has more of a forward canted fit so the normal hockey stances where you’re leaning forward and this pant is designed to allow you to do that very well.
CCM Tacks 4052 Ice Hockey Pants Review
The CCM Tax 4052 ice hockey pants begin with the fasten system. CCM uses a single nylon strap you just tighten and it’s going to tighten all the way across the waistband. CCM has a traditional lace fastening system and that’s just going to walk in right up there right underneath the belt. CCM uses what they’re calling a one-inch extension and this extends the length by 1 inch for all the taller and lengthier players this is maybe that little bit of extra room hiding underneath the belt. We’re going to see the suspender buttons right up there that’s right next to the molded PE kidney guards. This is going to be backed with some medium density foams as well as a moisture wicking microfiber. This can be nice and comfortable down there in the hip. We have hip pads that are constructed with the JDP technology now this technology’s going to take the force the impact and disperse it away from the sensitive joint there in the lower thigh. There is a hard molded plastic with comfort foams on the interior and the inside alike CCM uses a zipper that extends the width of the pant leg for those players like to put their skates on before their pants or just for those who want a looser fit in the legs while on the ice. CCM uses a stitched logo over there for enhanced quality this is on top of the durable on lightweight nylon material which covers the exterior of the pant. Although CCM uses a nylon abrasion panels in high wear areas, it’s going to protect the pant a little bit more and it also be a little bit more breathable. It is lighter and more ventilated out there on the ice there. In the crotch, CCM uses a light gray material that gives you flexible mobility for lower back protection. CCM uses a floating spine guard that can be attached at two straps and can be constructed of medium density foams there on the outside hard plastic insert on the inside and comfort foam on the interior. This is going to be leaning forward a little bit so that’s way it stays on your back and provides the good anatomical fit that stays on your back the entire time moving down we’re going to have an extension of the crotch gusset again that lycra material flexibility and also more abrasion panels can be breathable and promote the durability of the pant and then on the lower thigh we can see medium density foams they’re going to protect a little bit of the backside of the leg but also allow you to move freely in the interior of the pants alongside the moisture wicking microfiber in the kidney guards. CCM uses a moisture wicking mesh nylon in the spine protector as well as the breathable and ventilated mesh on the interior.
Easton Synergy 20 Ice Hockey Pants Review
The Easton synergy 20 pants have a really nice wrapping kidney guard and it’s going to be with some medium density foam so we also do have a nice plastic insert that wraps around the whole thing giving the high level protection down through the center we got some medium density foams and that’s going to be sitting behind the very simple nylon strap and closure system so very easy to use and all you get to do is go ahead and pull on the cord to give it a nice snug fit as it does have some nice to spend their loops. On the sides, we have two different heavy-duty nylon especially in the high area going to give you that good durability and then for mobility to the center, we do have four way stretch crotch gusset that allows you get that full stride extension without getting hindered get down into the bottom now we do have a nice screen print in Easton logo at the bottom and then as far as the thigh pads go this is a pub where the bulk of protection gets some really thick medium density foams rib plastic insert on the outside gives you a high level protection and then as you can see here we don’t have any zippers just wanted to point that out now going on the back we’re going to see most of the same materials we saw on the front so that kidney guard is going to wrap all the way around to the back so do you have that nice lower spinal guard up top with some thick medium density foams and you’ve got the suspender loops as well and then we do have that crotch gusset that comes around from the front that good mobility uses the same nylons on the rear and then they do include some nice medium density foam patches in the back there so as to make sure you’re going to get some pretty complete coverage.
Warrior Dynasty Ice Hockey Girdle Review
The warrior dynasty ice hockey girdle is designed to go in combination with a pant shell although this particular model does not have one included warrior uses a single nylon belt strap providing a solid wrap right around the waist giving you a tight fit moving into the protection in the kidneys, we’re going to see segmented medium density foams topped with plastic inserts give you a good both flexibility and protection. Down on the hips, we’re going to see medium density foams covering plastic insert and additionally receive medium density foams on the inside getting a good level of comfort as well along the center segments of medium density foams that are perforated giving solid air flow and as we move down, we can see thick medium density foams with a thick molded plastic insert give you great protection in the thighs. Now there is a mesh material giving you a good airflow and breathability throughout the pants and also in the front, we’re going to see a cut pocket. The spine protection features 5050 which is warrior’s combination of high density and medium density foams give a really lightweight feel while still keeping it very strong in the protection now this also has a ford pronation which means it’s going to stay flush against your back with a little bit of a forward tilt to it so that way even after you’re leaning back, it’s going to snap right forward and keep your protection right in place. It is a very clean kind of basic looking design so it doesn’t look like it crazy text you but you get that hyper field technology with a new solar soft insole which is the main thing about this shoe it has. It’s looks really similar to the Bruins insole but it definitely feels a little more like a softer durometer cushioning so going to be very cushy and comfortable thinner under the toe for a board feel but when you take this out. This is like there’s nothing in there. This is literally like you only have the outsole and then a little bit of the kind of rip stop sort of material there suede upper all the way around one-piece toe comes back to protect the stitches in the Ollie area and then you get a good amount of padding around the collar more right in the area which is kind of cool all the old skate shoes used to have a lot of padding in there but that’s kind of shied away from that for some reason gives you more support and gives you protection from the shark bites. Good padding in the tongue as well for protection kind of a breathable material no elastic bands to center the tongue which you have that loop so it won’t be flopping around for you just a basic very flexible shoe looks nice and comes in a whole bunch of different colors you’re going to check these out.
Best Nike SB Bruin Hyperfeel Skate Shoes Review
Nike SB Bruin hyper feel is the second addition to the new hyper feel line and it’s got some of the same tech as that costing three but toned down a little bit so it looks more like a traditional skate shoe. It gets the main features suede upper seams all the way back so you won’t have to worry about ripping that up too much cup sole construction it actually feels very flexible out of the box a little more stiff in the heel as you expect and then you get some perforations there on the side as well as the inside and on the tongue. The tongue also has some centering straps there so you get a little more of a comfortable fit and your tongue won’t be sliding around which is always nice thinly padded collar and then you get to that hyper feel drop-in insole. What hyper field technology is basically they have thinned out the console construction so it’s super floppy without the insole and you’re getting a very thin flexible shoe and then they can create all of that padding that you want your shoe out of that insole. So you can get a nice thick supported insole under your heel and then it can thin out a lot more under your toe and you get more of a bulk feel under your forefoot four board feel. This insole similar to the costumes but it has a little more of the kind of more standard foam and it does feel a little bit thicker and then you get a little different pattern of flex screws there but also giving you the same sort of feel and look and idea that’s about it. This is a nice black tone down color way you also get some more bright ones and the red and blue and then some nice-looking gray and kind of other colors.
Best Nike SB Portmore Ultralight Shoes Review
The Nike SB Portmore ultra-light skate shoe is just a very lightweight chiller shoe for doing whatever it is you do off the board if you’re working on your feet all day probably don’t want to be wearing some super thin vulcanized shoes so this gives you a very lightweight all evie a midsole outsole combination there. So you don’t have any rubber there and it’s not going to be very grippy for skating or durable but it’s going to lightweight and very cushy and comfortable. The upper is all mesh all the way around so very breathable and the insole is not removable but it’s got a nice little squish to it there again very basic shoe just for putting on whenever you’re skating and keep your feet happy. This comes in gray color as well as black and white.
Best Nike SB Zoom GTS Skate Shoes Review
The Nike SB zoom GTS skate shoe looks familiar it’s because supreme dropped a collab but it has still all the great features. As it’s a low top vulcanized skate shoe that’s got the majority of the uppers canvas but then key areas are suede so you get a little more durability when you’re skating Scripps Wayne right there. You get suede right over there on the heel snap. Those heel flips are super cool do have a kind of the Finley padded collar and medium padded collar have a padded tongue as well. The tongue centering lace loop right there you do have a zoom air unit in the heel blood. When you jump down the stairs sets that’s going to protect your heels from heel bruises all of that sits on top of a flexible grippy herringbone tread pattern and like already mentioned vulcanized construction. So it’s going to be super grippy flexy great board feel all that stuff that you get with a bulk shoe that is the zoom GTS great skate shoe from Nike SB.
Best Nike SB Blazer Zoom Low XT Skate Shoes Review
The Nike SB blazer low XT probably isn’t that just the Cory Kennedy whereas the CK basically the same shoe some little subtle differences that we’re going to point out here. If you do take a look at the toe cap, there’s a little more foxing tape on this version and it has that rough textured material comes a little lower here and then the front of the toe cap almost the same just slight differences in the contour there and then your heel tabs a little different. You get the classic blazer one there but besides that pretty much the same collars feel the same a little bit different material on the inside of the blazer and you get that same vulcanized construction. There’s a little stiff in the toe but you do have some stuff in there a little better once you pull that out same outsole on the bottom nice and grippy durable. What you have for the tongue is these tongue bands are upgrade with the XT model that are in the blazer low and the GT which feels nice just a little better fit for your foot. Many people like to having something like that in the shoe and then you get that classic Zoom Air unit in the heel with the zoom air insole. It’s a good low profile shoe very durable with that rubber toe cap lasts long going to give you a lot of grip and your flick.
Best Nike SB Koston Hypervulc Skate Shoes Review
The Nike SB Koston Hypervulc shoe is very similar to the costume 3 but toned down a little bit with that original costume upper so you don’t have that big sock line and everything but you get that hyper field technology with a vault construction. The cup sole construction of the costume 3 was thinned as there’s no midsole or anything so it shouldn’t really change how the two skates. Even though it does have that molded foxing tape around there instead of the cups all construction so hyper feel actually is there. It’s a very thin gutted out shoe with no midsole so when you take this insole out super thin nothing to restrict your board feel in any way and everything you have is in the insole so they’re able to construct a shoe that skates exactly like they want. You get a nice thick padding under the heel lots of arch support in there and then thinner under the toe so it doesn’t interfere with board feel. This is quite a bit different than the custom 3 insole cost and 3 insole Lunarlon. It’s a little bit thinner because that’s a little bit more of a firmer material. You also have the zoo insole don’t have that in this so this is actually a lots more similar to the Bruin outsole which you can see there does feel just slightly thicker there maybe a little bit more arch support but going to skate pretty similar to that Bruin but it has the Koston upper. It has the little more of a padded collar they’re not a lot but enough to protect you a little bit breathable tongue a little bit of padding not a whole lot and you have a gusseted tongue and a little bit of elastic there so give you a little more snug fit and then you have that tongue centering band right there that’s about it nice flexible shoe should break in pretty quickly and be nice and grippy.
Best Nike SB Zoom P-Rod X Skate Shoes Review
Nike SB zoom P-Rod X skate shoe gives you just a really good skating. It’s more simplified and very clean nice looking shoe definitely looks very fashionable something you could wear out on the town as well as go skate in as you look at the toe of like a little bit of a dunk style toe there with double layer suede and then it wraps back there gives you a little more suede in that oli’s area and then leather back around the back little unique little heel wrap there as well besides that pretty low profile overall does have some stiffness in the sole. The insole on this shoe is pretty thin and basic just a little bit of squishy foam there for comfort but it does have a zoom air unit placed into the heel construction so that’s where you’re going to get your impact protection and support but there is a lot more lower profile than some of the stuff that it put out in the past tongue is actually really cool kind of a slip on style a little bit of a bootie system. So it’s just like a stretchy material on the edges of the tongue that is attached to the sides of the shoe and it’s a little more like a slip-on going to give you a snug comfortable fit without having to have them laced up real tight and your tongue obviously won’t be slipping around either always a plus suede upper leather around the back grip.
Best Nike SB Dunk Low Pro IW Skate Shoes Review
The Nike SB Dunk Low pro IW shoe is basically like the same dunk that’s always been outs but this one’s been slimmed down a little bit more flexible of a better board feel than the puffs of your dunks of previous models. It’s kind of slimmed down on the front you can see the difference between the toe boxes. You can also see it right up there in the collars super cool. The Ishod dunk collar doesn’t have the pods in the back heels so again it’s just a slimmer fitting shoe. Another key feature of the shoe is on the inside you do have an internal fit system that’s a little bit bigger. Your normal dunks will have just a smaller elastic band right there. It’s got that longer internal fit kind of similar to the grant Taylor laser and then your removable sock liner that’s skate specific as you’ve got the grooves kind of like the free system it just allows for articulation so a better forming sock liner and then you still get your zoom air unit in the heel that’s it a slimmed down dunk built for Ishod Wair.
Best Nike SB Janoski HT Skate Shoes Review
The Nike SB Stefan Janoski HT skate shoe stands for high tape because the foxing tape just kind of extends higher onto the upper of the shoe that’s mostly done just for the looks but it will probably give you more grip in your flick there may be a little bit more durability just because you do have more rubber on the toe kind of like a rubber toe cap but obviously it doesn’t fully extend to the top probably take a little bit longer to break these in just because there is that more rubber. It does have that same vulcanized construction the genetics we got known for nice and flexible good board feel same outsole there tongue very thin just basically that piece of leather have the nice premium suede on the upper very soft nice looking blue sort of color, brown a little bit smoother kind of finer grain leather there and then the bright black even smoother there not as much of like a rough fuzzy look as this Blue.
Best Nike SB Trainerendor L Skate Shoes Review
Nike SB is the trainer and/or it’s definitely more of like a super comfortable chill lifestyle shoe as you can see got that rugged outsole pattern there on the bottom kind of get a reinforced all the area so maybe you’re cruising around need to pop up some curbs shoe in the last bit longer there. It is definitely more of like a runner inspired lifestyle shoe. You’ve got that booty fit right there so it’s kind of going to lock down your foot definitely lock down your foot with the mid foot strap right there on the top again lightweight Phylon midsole comfortable flexible great lifestyle maybe not the greatest skate shoe probably got better skate shoes in the Nike SB.
Top 5 Best Adidas Skate Shoes for Skateboarding
Best Adidas Skateboarding ADI Ease Premier Shoes Review
The key story between the Adidas skateboarding ADI ease premier shoes and just the original Adidas is the addition of ADI tough which is internal reinforcement. Basically it’s a rubber backed suede right on the toe box so once it worth its weight, you’re going to hit the rubber piece that’s fairly thin but a lot more durable so your shoes last a lot longer. For the most part, everything else is basically the same you’ve got the one-piece toe cap with deco stitching goes back around. It’s suede all over get the nice trefoil hit right there on the back thinly padded tongue Finley’s pad and collar for a little bit of comfort and protection. You do have the removable insole so again gives you nice comfort right out the box but if you want a bit more impact protection if you’re jumping down some big stair sets, you can take that out and throw in an aftermarket insole. So that’s cool vulcanized construction is going to be very grippy, very flexible and then you’ve got that gum rubber outsole so your feet stay planted on your board when you’re walking around when you’re skating that’s it that is the Adidas premier comes in red color.
Best Adidas Matchcourt Skate Shoes Review
This is the match court from Adidas the brand with the three stripes so kind of in line with what a lot of other shoe companies are doing. You’ve got that big rubber toe cap so it’s going to be super durable really hard to rip through that and then that kind of protects a canvas upper so canvas while that is a little bit less durable than the traditional suede. You do have the ultra durable toe cap which is cool deconstructed upper with a very thinly padded collar. It’s almost just like an extra piece of canvas but it is there so it gives you a little bit more padding than usual all that sits on top of a vulcanized construction is actually a double wrap vault construction so it’s going to be flexible, it’s going to be grippy and then you’ve got that gum rubber outsole right there so your feet aren’t slipping all around. You do have a removable insole so if you’re into taking out the insoles putting on some aftermarket stuff you can do that with the match cord and that’s basically it simple canvas shoe big rubber toe cap for more durability.
Best Adidas Superstar Vulc ADV Skate Shoes Review
Adidas superstar Vulc Adv skate shoe is a modern skateboarding take on the classic 1980s court shoes so you still got that suede upper shell rubber toe cap. Toe caps super abrasion resistant really durable protects your chose because when boards come and land on it, it’s not like just a piece of suede that’s going to break down but really cool with that toe cap. Many people do skateboarding kind of lightened up and reduce the weight and bulk of the shoe by combining the insole and midsole into one audi queen drop-in piece looks like very thick under the heels where you need that impact protection but then it finds out to give you that flexibility and board feel under your forefoot classic style Volk vector traction outsole superior grip you know precise board control all that good stuff that is the Adidas skateboarding superstar Vulc Adv has.
Best Adidas Seeley Premiere Skate Shoes Review
The Seeley Premiere is just kind of like a contemporary update to that classic Seeley silhouette so a couple colors are there i.e. grey, black and many others. These are actually new buck toe caps so big one-piece toe caps premium feel still easy to skate in great to wear around. They also come in colors that have suede as well as canvas but we’re bringing in you got that new look so super slimmed down version of the classic Seeley just kind of updated for today’s contemporary kind of looks still have the big one-piece toe cap that we mentioned then as you get around to this kind of like side panel. You do have the three stripes in comic that faux leather but then it’s backed with canvas so that’s pretty cool as it wraps around there. You do have a minimally padded collar for comfort and support all that sits on top of a vulcanized construction with that grippy rubber outsole. So if you aren’t sliding around when you’re skating, they’re planted right on the board where you need them. And you do have the removable insole super small very minimal padding so if you want to jump down some big stair sets maybe go get some bigger insoles to protect your feet other than that it’s just a really basic kind of updated design to the Seeley skate shoes.
Best Adidas Busenitz Pro Skate Shoes Review
The Adidas Busenitz pro skate shoe is based off a classic soccer cleat called the Copa Mundial one of Dennis’s favorite cleats grown up playing soccer so he incorporated the design into his skate specific shoe for Adidas. Some of the features of this shoe include lace protection right up there near the main points where your laces break. There’s also a low-profile outsole that provides maximum board feel and when you’re skating also really flexible shoe low profile allows for a lot of flex inside the tongue you can see there is a mesh tongue to provide breathability so your feet don’t get all hot and sweaty when you’re skating. There’s also a customizable tongue up there if you don’t like the big flare of the tongue, there’s a little cut so you can just make these the boos and it’s light. There’s also a reinforced heel cup to provide protection on your heels and there’s also a Geo fit collar and skate specific sock liner inside the boos in its shoe.
Top 7 Best DC Skate Shoes for Skateboarding
Best DC Evan Smith S Skate Shoes Review
This DC Evan Smith’s model is a great low profile vulcanized shoe with a unique rubber toe cap and the fact that this rubber toe bumper actually kind of extends up around the toe box which is awesome is probably one of the best looking rubber toe caps out right now and every company’s got them. This has definitely got to be top three so super rad props to you DC so low top vulcanized construction you do have a super suede one-piece toe cap but you also got that rubber toe bumper so extra durability and then as you go back around the side panel you do have super canvas so super duper canvas and suede make sure your shoe lasts a long time. A pretty thin collar right is there not a whole lot of padding just going to kind of wrap around a foot and nice little loop right there to yank of shoes on and off. You do have a Finley padded tongue right there and then a plush seven millimeter ortholite sock liner. It is removable but if you ever worn a shoe with ortholite, you know how comfortable this is and then extra well seven millimeters can be super plush really comfy. The other big story besides the rubber toe cap is DC’s impact eye technology and the way that works is the little cones right there. There’s little circles they’re actually inverted cones and it allows the sole to kind of compress and gives you that impact protection so instead of having a bunch of evie, a foam you should have these little cones and they’re deeper under your heel where you need that impact protection and they’re shallower under your forefoot so you get that board feel so really cool technology DTS coming out that is the grippy impact eye outsole vulcanized construction so that is the DC Evan Smith’s skate shoes.
Best DC Shoes Tiago S Skate Shoes Review
The Tiago shoe is the brand-new pro model for Tiago Lemos dropping fall 2017 from DC Shoes. There’s a lot of packed into this shoe, a lot of tech going on so let’s jump into it with this big suede. Super suede toe cap DC special suede design the last 50 percent longer than your average suede plus it also has super stitch which is a high tensile strength stitching also design for higher durability. The seams are definitely pushed back outside of the highest wear areas so even if you’re ollie’s area is right in there. You got some overlapping materials and that super stitch so it shouldn’t be blowing out on you. It is a cupful construction with an e VA midsole for support. It also has DCs impact, a technology which is the airbag on the inside. You do get it on the inside under the heel so you get a lot of support and impact protection there. So if you like to jump down a big set hits a big gap or if you just like to skate long hours and long days, a little extra support definitely goes a long way on the bottom. They do have kind of a unique tread pattern there and they got a little more rubber going on in the high air wear areas always cool when they design a shoe specifically for skateboarding in that way besides that you do have a decent amount of padding around the collar definitely more than the average shoe these days. But if you’re a guy that likes little bit of the older style of shoes where they were as well as the skate shoe, they’re also protection for your feet. This is a great option for you definitely a little stiffer than some of the shoes out there. The ortho light insole here pretty soon but soft cushy insole and that’s going to just add some comfort wear all of your support and impact protection comes out of that UVA and air bag there might take a little longer to break this than some of the other shoes but you know it’s a shoe that takes a little brawn longer to break in sometimes. It adds all that extra support that supports can last longer the shoes going to last longer, more durable and better for your feet.
Best DC Nyjah Vulc Skate Shoe Review
DC Nyjah Vulc skate shoe is the Nyjah Vulc’s recent trend that you’re seeing a lot of skateboarding is taking shoes that original capsules making Vulcanized or vice versa. So this is the original Nyjah’s super suede great upper lots of impact protection but you’re not jumping down big star sets like Nyjah maybe you want a more low-profile slimmer grippier shoe so check out the Nyjah Vulc super suede. You’ve got the super suede one-piece toe cap with your double deco stitching meaning the stitches when they rip aren’t actually going to let anything blow apart they’re just for looks you’d have reinforced all the area right there. Thinly padded heel collar also got a thinly padded tongue right there cool thing is a tongue does have your tongue standard lace loops so if you don’t like your tongue going back and forth do have the tongue Center lace loops like already mentioned that all sits on top of your grippy durable flexible vulcanized construction. Best DC Mikey Taylor 2 Skate Shoes Review
Mikey Taylor’s 2 Pro model shoe aptly called the Mikey Taylor. It looks really similar to the original one but it’s got a couple design additions one being the heel counter kind of support really locks that healing keeps your foot nice and secure. This shoe features super suede obviously not on the bottom but on super suede upper. It’s going to last 50% longer so your shoes don’t blow out as quickly as you can see big one-piece toe cap that’s another nice feature you do have some perforations on top of the toe box so this provides a little bit of ventilation in out of the shoe. You do have the padded tongue that also has venting so again making sure a foot can breathe a lot and it doesn’t overheat when you’re skating. A big thing with the Mikey Taylor – is your drop-in unilite midsole they pull that thing out. Yoona light super padded is going to be comfortable provide impact protection under your heels where you need it but then as it thins out under your forefoot gives you that flexibility and it moves with your foot giving you great board field. Laast couple things we want to point out is you do have DC’s pill pattern tread on the bottom so again provides grip with those grooves. Those grooves right on the bottom of the shoe just allows the shoe to move a lot better than something that doesn’t have it so DC’s pill pattern super grippy great for skateboarding that’s it that is the Mikey Taylor – from DC Shoes.
Best DC Wes Kremer 2 S Skate Shoes Review
The DC Wes Kremer 2S is very similar to its first model but they upgraded it to make it feel and fit a lot more like a slip-on shoe. So if you take a look at the back of the tongue, it’s got the big elastic bands that’ll hold you really nice and snug in there even if your shoes aren’t tied tight. But what’s great about it is that it does still have two lace loops there so you can cinch it up with your laces and get a tighter fit than most slip ons besides that is very similar to the other model it has the big one-piece super suede toe. So super suede going to last 50% longer than your average suede. You also have the abrasion resistance screen around the toe cap for a little extra durability on top of very flexible vulcanized construction definitely more flexible than other vulcanized shoes that are on the market with the grippy outsole there. And you get a medium padded collar a little bit of protection there which is nice and you have the impact S insole if we can get it out which is not very thick which is great because it’s not going to mess with your board feel at all but it does have that PU material that it’s made out of that’s very impact absorbent. So even if you’re jumping on it, it’s not going to hurt your feet so that is about it. This is the black color way there with that yellow highlight it looks really nice and then the all gray same shoe but different look.
Best DC Pure SE Skate Shoes Review
Pure SE is another good skate shoe from DC. What are you getting with the shoe you’re getting premium materials, a thickly padded tongue and also a thickly padded collar for superior comfort and fit. You’re also getting triple stitch panels on the front so all the art panels that are stitched together three stitching is better than two or one so they’re going to last a little bit longer than just your normal stitching reinforce all the area right there you do have a suede kind of quarter panel with your premium new buck toe cap all that sits on a performance cup salt wrap so while it looks like a vulcanized shoe, it is actually a cup sole shoe on the bottom you do have DC superior grip ENOS of the pill pattern shred and that’s it that is the DC Pure SE skate shoes.
Best DC Trase TX Skate Shoes Review
The Trase TX it is probably the most simple DC shoe you’ll ever find. You’ve got an all canvas upper so we wouldn’t suggest stadium because canvas isn’t the most durable again super thin collar right around there very thin tongue again almost like a lifestyle chiller shoe all that sits on top of a vulcanized construction with DC’s gum pill pattern. One cool thing about this is the foxing tape around the front of the toe cap actually has DC’s pill pattern. So again if you’re looking for an inexpensive chill shoe, you’re not going to skate this it’s not going to last too long definitely.
Top 5 Best HUF Skate Shoes for Skateboarding
Best Huf Boyd Skate Shoes Review
The Huff Boyd skate shoes have a cuff sole construction so you get some good impact protection out of that and it feels fairly flexible once you started getting warmed up so you’ll have some good board feel. It has a star padding grip on the bottom that will star padding around the toe for a little extra grip and your flick laces dude come down pretty low so you get a nice snug fit out of them that way but does leave them a little more vulnerable to ripping the insole in there fairly thin and fairly basic it is removable gives you a little bit of comfort and support there but you can always swap those out for some aftermarket insoles has a little bit of ventilation there. This black version is a very soft feeling suede so it looks very nice and very classy you can kind of take these out on the town. Best HUF Essex Skate Shoes Review
HUF Essex skate shoe has a low top vulcanized silhouette using premium pig suede upper. You do have a big one piece toe cap that does extend past them there that’s triple stitched so you get a little bit more protection and a little more durability in those high where all the areas you do have a rugged toe bumper as you can see there a little bit beefed up. So it’s going to be again more durable and the shoes less a little bit longer that premium pig suede does wrap around the collar. Its super things which going to form to your foot you’ve got the thin tongue on the top. You do have eight heavy padded EVA insulates that is removable super thick EVA under the heel where you need it for that impact absorption but then it does thin out under the forefoot just like most insoles. So it’s got that flexibility providing the board feel that you know and love on the bottom. You do have a new gum rubber out so with a reinforced toe and heel area when you’re skating, you drag your foot a lot of times that heel area whereas out a lot quicker than most of the other parts of the outsole so they’ve reinforced it right there. So overall sweet kind of stylish fashion forward get still functional skate shoe from HUF
Best HUF Gillette Skate Shoes Review
The HUF Gillette skate shoe has a super clean and refined upper with very minimal design that it’s just kind of like a very fashion-forward skateboarder’s shoe. The low top silhouette sits on top of a cup sole construction but you’ve got a geometric tread pattern outsole that enhances the flex and grip of the shoe you normally don’t get within certain cups all designs. A couple other cool things going on the shoe is you do have a custom PU foot bed piece that’s your polyurethane so it’s going to have that impact absorption that you want when you’re jumping down stuff not much to say about the shoe because as you can see its super simple and it comes in a couple key colors here this is that brown leather, you also have it in a black leather all murdered out looks pretty cool and there is a third color that’s called fog it is a new buck material which is going to be a little better for skateboarding and something this Levin does feel a little slick not going to lie but again fashion forward skate shoe for today’s modern skateboard.
Best HUF Dylan Slip-On Skate Shoes Review
Dylan slip-on is another skate shoe from HUF and you’re familiar with Dylan reader’s previous shoe. It looks pretty much exactly the same way there’s a lot of interest in that model in that silhouette. So HUF brought it back and you get a full grain Italian leather upper. You have Pig suede liner so all of this is just the super luxury look but it still has skate functionality if you want to skate these shoes you do have a vulcanized construction that is flexible and grippy on the bottom so your feet aren’t slipping around where they’re just walking or actually skating. Best HUF Galaxy Skate Shoes Review
HUF Galaxy skate shoe got all suede upper and a perforated H right there on the side. This just allows air flow in and out of shoes. Their feet aren’t overheating as you go to the front machine with big one-piece toe cap. So it looks like there’s stitches i.e. faux stitches. A couple perforations right there on top of the toe box again for added breathability for even more breathability a couple of eyelets right there on the inside of the shoe. You do have a thinly padded collar as well as a thinly padded tongue for comfort and just little bit protection. You’ve also got the tongue sanding lace loops right there all the tongues. Top 4 Best Emerica Skate Shoes for Skateboarding
Best Emerica Men’s Herman G6 Skate Shoes Review
The Emerica Herman G6 skate shoes come in black and orange colors which are SF giant colors. The thing that’s good about these shoes is that they’re super durable they have a panel right there. It’s an extra suede protection and so you have your Ollie guard there and then kick flip etc and then you have the nice big thick piece of rubber right there which is great not only for protection but also is nice and grippy for when you’re doing your kick flips and you’re always in things like that. Many people really prefer suede shoes and skate with black shoes but it always has to be suede. If it’s another kind of material like a smooth plastic, it just doesn’t grip as well on the board and you’re not going to get as much board control out of the shoe as you would with a shoe like Emerica Herman G6 skate shoe which is pure suede. The other cool thing about these shoes is they are vulcanized and what that means is that the sole is very strong, very thin and very flexible. Why that is good is because you can feel your board very well, you have great board control and the sole isn’t so thin that if you land primo, you’re going to injure your feet. So it’s thick enough yet thin enough to have good board control if that makes sense so that’s the whole purpose of that vulcanized sole.
Now the other thing about these is that you might notice they’re mid top. A lot of shoes go to about this high but these shoes are a little higher. They’re not full like high tops but they’re just mid tops the reason why people like that is because It provides more protection for your ankle. The suede on the shoe they’re super durable Lace protector is another good thing about this shoe so right there as part of the Ollie protection. you can put your laces inside that piece so that when you do a bunch of Ollie’s, it doesn’t cut your laces because that’s a huge problem you may constantly have laces just breaking off and flailing all over the place and these that doesn’t occur because of that piece right there. So other than just the shoes being really comfortable, they’re very durable, they’re a nice mid top and these are great.
Emerica Hsu X Chocolate Skate Shoe Review
Emerica Hsu low bulk skate shoe is the low top version of the Hsu G6. It’s being released with a chocolate collab so you get that chocolate branding the red and black color way there and you also have the Hsu G6 and kind of a cool dark chocolate color way with that co-branding there on the tongue. So this is kind of a more of a lower profile, lower tech version of the Hsu G6 so you’ve got a big one piece suede toe cap there and a thinned out vulcanized construction. They are very flexible as you can see it kind of feels like somebody’s already been skating in these it for a week even though they’re brand new so going to be very little break-in time for you as far as tech goes. You don’t have quite as much going on but you do have a G6 insole so it’s going to be fairly thick under the heel therefore nice and support and you have a little bit of support there under your arch as well but then it’s very thin on the forefoot so you get great flexibility and you’ve got some flex screws to make it even more flexible.
Emerica Reynolds Low Vulc Skate Shoes Review
Emerica Reynolds low vulc skate shoe based off the original Reynolds flow but you got that vulcanized construction which is the more grippy a little more flexible giving you more board feel. Low top vulcanized construction big suede one-piece toe gap you get those perforations on the top of the toe box gives you a nice little air flow into the shoes. Your feet aren’t over hitting too much as you go around the side of the shoe. You do have some stitch panels right there, nice Emerica logo and then you’ve got your thinly padded collar for comfort and protection. You’ve also got a padded tongue with tongue centering lace loops so your tongues not going side to side as you go in the back of the shoe. You do have some canvas hits right there on the back as well as on that medial panel the insult actually does not come out but it is padded and so super comfortable. So it allows you to walk around all day long all that sits on top of that vulcanized flexible grippy construction with your Emerica triangle tread pattern on the bottom your feet aren’t slipping around when you’re skating, walking doing whatever you are doing in these shoes that’s it that is the America Reynolds low vulc skate shoes.
Best Emerica Westgate CC Skate Shoes Review
The Emerica Brandon Westgate skate shoe looks familiar it’s because it’s a slimmed down version of the Westgate G6 you may remember that shoes had kind of like that runner toe on the front and a oversized aldine kind of protection area on the cops design. So this is a slimmed down version and you get that same great upper big suede one-piece toe cap right there so there’s no panel storage actually goes all the way back around the shoe. You’ve got the heel counter right there to really lock in your heel as well as a padded collar and a padded breathable tongue does have kind of like those neoprene centering bands. It just locks your foot right into the shoe also prevents the tongue from going back and forth so that’s awesome still have the G6 midsole for impact protection so jumping down the big stairs sets just like Brandon Westgate these shoes are going to protect your feet and then like their dimension sits on top of that slim down cups whole design as you can see super flexible overall just a great looking skate shoe from Emerica the Brandon Westgate CC.
Top 3 Best Converse Skate Shoes for Skateboarding
Best Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Pro Skate Shoes Review
The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star skate shoe is a classic shoe originally came out in 1917 is almost 100 years ago but it’s been updated for today’s skateboarder so you still have that canvas upper super minimal padding, white one-piece rubber toe cap, super durable vulcanized construction and classic Chuck Taylor outsole but you get a couple improvements for skateboarding. One is your Lunarlon insole so Nike acquired Congress several years ago so now they get to put some of the technology into their shoes and you get that Lunarlon cushioning super comfortable very durable impact resistant but then it finds out under that giving that flexibility board feel just like most insoles do also on the inside of the shoe. One thing that has been changed is not sure if it we will see it but the tongue is now stitched to the side panel. So it just gives you a better fitting shoe lace them up that shoe just wraps right around your foot and the shoe does exactly what your foot is doing giving you a great skateboarding shoe what else is going on this shoe fine vulcanized construction like already mentioned obviously when you take the install out, it’s going to be super flexible as you can see grippy rubber Chuck Taylor outsole tread pattern so that’s it got that all canvas upper but it also comes and kind of like a premium suede so it looks super good right there too so that’s it that’s the Congress Chuck Taylor All Star updated for today’s skateboarder.
Best Converse Breakpoint Pro Skate Shoes Review
Converse breakpoint Pro came out spring 2017 a couple little upgrades over the original breakpoint that came out last year first thing you notice on the toe. The other one has like a full extra layer of suede over the top so when you start flicking, there you won’t rip that open and have a little extra seam. So that’s just a little smoother construction there on the pro outsole pattern is a little different with the cross hatching right there pretty similar. They’re nice and grippy very flexible vulcanized construction going to break in really quickly out of the box and the biggest upgrade main thing that’s different about this shoe is the addition of a Lunarlon insole. It’s actually fairly thin compared to a lot of the other Lunarlon insoles they have a lot of them are a lot more thick. So this one you get that same quality impact protection from that same material but with that in doubt size. It’s not going to interfere with your board feels much. It’s still a very low-profile shoe but with that nice Lunarlon cushioning a little bit of padding around the collar and a little bit on the tongue just for comfort.
Best Converse CONS Crimson Skate Shoes Review
The Converse Crimson is kind of a basic very and very flexible classic looking vulcanized shoe. So it’s going to give you good board feel right out of the box sole feels really grippy you can even feel your finger squeaking on that so it’s real grippy. The main things you’ll notice about it is the big rubber toe cap on the top cool thing about this one it could compared with other rubber toe caps is that it seems quite a bit thinner, it’s not so bulky and it’s also the same color as the upper so it blends in it’s not super noticeable which is great. The rest of the upper is a canvas but it is a rubber infused canvas so it’s going to last a lot longer than a typical canvas. It’s a very thin upper a little bit of padding around the heel or on the collar but not much so you’re not kind of a whole lot of protection up there but again that makes it very flexible, very easy to break in and very comfortable. The insolence in there is an ortholite sock liner feels fairly dense and thick under the heel pretty good impact support there and then it finds out and you got this less dense material on your toe so you get a little better or it feel out of your toes that gives you some good impact protection but again this is a fairly thin shoe so it’s probably best for a lower impact skating so you’re not getting heel bruises.
Top 3 Best New Balance Skate Shoes for Skateboarding
Best New Balance 598 Skate Shoes Review
The New Balance Numeric 598 skate shoe is kind of a low profile cup feels nice and flexible does have a rev light mid-sole for impact protection that doesn’t weigh a whole lot on the bottom. You have an endurance rubber out-sole feels very grippy and it’s a special formula to be more durable for skate shoes on the upper you have suede one-piece toe coming all the way back under there. You do have these stitches but underneath that suede comes all the way back and you also have another layer of rubber so extra durability once you blow through that suede which is great advantages of a rubber toe cap without having a big bulky rubber toe pretty sweet as you come around the side, you get kind of a breathable collar there good amount of padding there a lot of people ride super thin shoes. The little padding helps breathable tongue and you have the rubber centering bands there so that you get a little more of a snug fit tongues are sliding around. Many people like the things about the shoe is actually the insole. It is a PU insole so that’s made of polyurethane and not foam like almost every other insole that you’ll see advantages of polyurethane is it does not pack out. It’s going to give you that same impact protection from day one as it will a month into it foam insoles no matter what it’s made out of it’s going to squish down, it’s going to give you less support as you do that and your shoes going to feel bigger that’s not going to fit as well. So great advantage of this shoe is the polyurethane obviously thicker under the heel and then it gets really thin on the toe which is pretty sweet so won’t interfere with your board feel there. You have the nice black on white color way that always looks good and then you have the kind of cool grey with the black and a little reflective backing on the end.
Best New Balance Arto 358 Skate Shoes Review
The key story with this New Balanced Numeric Arto 358 skate shoe is your printed rubber toe cap plus your internal toe protection for added durability. So this toe caps not be blown out as you can see suede one-piece. It’s got the nice leather and branding on the side panel and then you’ve got your thinly padded collar for comfort and protection you get it internal drop-in PU insole that is removable. So if you want to take this out, you can that’s super cool you do have elastic tongue centering straps so that keeps the tongue straight. It also kind of locks in your foot that gives you a little bit more better fit on the bottom and you’ve also got New Balance gum rubber outsole it’s a little bit thicker in places with higher wear so under the ball of your foot and on the back of the heel because when you skate and you drag your foot slow down, it’s going to wear out a lot more there so they just give you a bit more rubber for grip vulcanized construction so it’s flexible and its grippy that is the Arto 358 skate shoe.
Best New Balance Pro Court 212 Skate Shoes Review
The New Balanced Numeric pro court 212 is their adaptation of a 1970s clay court tennis shoe so you get the rubber toe cap which is all the rage now it skateboarding. You’ve got an added durability suede patch area where you always saw increased durability there you’ve got suede side panels nice little canvas heel counter around there new balance branding on the back got it polyurethane PU drop it insole for impact protection comfort all day wearability but it is removable. So if you want to take it out, you can do that as well just classic gum herringbone tread outsole super grippy surface aren’t sliding around and then endurance boxing tape which is just New Balance Numerix durable foxing tape to keep the Vulc construction all nicely bathing together that’s it that’s the pro court 212 from New.
Top 3 Best Lakai Skate Shoes for Skateboarding
Best Lakai Fremont XLK Skate Shoes Review
The idea behind Lakai Fremont XLK shoe was to make a high-performance skate shoe without it looking like a goovy Tex so even though it looks like a regular skate shoe, there’s a lot going on inside of this shoe. XLK outsole looks pretty thick and bulky but it’s actually really flexible that might be partially due to the tread pattern on the bottom because that also acts as flex grooves. So it’s going to give you better flexibility and board fill out of the box which everybody wants. When you look at the toe big one-piece suede toe cap right there with lots of little perforations up top for breathability but underneath that suede, there is a thin layer of durable rubber so wants to wear through the suede and then hit the rubber and it’s going to last a lot longer pretty cool because it looks like regular shoe but you still have that rubber durability. One of the coolest things about this shoe is this construction it’s almost like a bootie system and that kind of functions like a slip-on you can’t really see it very well there but this one is not laced but that is kind of neoprene material that connects all the way down to the base of the shoe and then wraps around the heel as well. This kind of squishy comfy feeling neoprene material is going to breathe and it’s going to flex with your feet but it’s also going to walk you in kind of like a slip-on but then you do obviously have the lace harnesses up top so you can tighten them up like a regular shoe and get a really nice solid feeling fit. So the final thing to look at with this shoe is the Lux-Elite sock liner pretty basic little insole but it gives you a little extra cushioning and you’re still getting lots of support from that exo-k cup sole.
Best Lakai Griffin XLK Skate Shoes Review
The Lakai Griffin XLK skate shoe is a kind of an updated version of the Griffin got that XLK outsole construction was just a nice durable impact-absorbing grippy flexible outsole construction so you still get that rad Griffin upper. You do have the big one-piece toe cap with the deco stitching that kind of goes all the way around the shoe under that Flair gives a thinly padded collar fairly padded tongue you do have a big tongue setting lace loops which actually aren’t going through the laces but there is the tongue sewing away sleep so you can lace it that way tongue stays nice and straight. This is an isle co-op so most of skateboards do have that custom isle sock liner artwork right there but this is removable. So if you want to get some aftermarket insoles from like FP or etc or remind or whatever you want to get, you can take that out put those in XLK outsole construction. It is a cup sole design grippy looks great got that sweet little flare on the bottom and then you can see the padding on the insole in that little cutout window right there so again super rad looking low top capsule design this is the Lakai Griffon XLK skate shoe.
Best Lakai Porter Skate Shoes Review
The Lakai Porter brand-new shoe came out spring 2017 pretty low profile vulcanized shoe definitely feels very flexible sure it’ll break in nice and quickly feels very grippy on the bottom. Lakai has always given us durable outsoles which we appreciate seems set back out of the high wear area so you get a big suede toe cap without having to worry about ripping those seams laces are also set up pretty high and far back so should be somewhat protected from your flicks callers very thin there really isn’t any protection there but a lot of people like those thin collars. You also have a very thin tongue with just a little bit of padding besides that you get mostly suede all the way around the side a little bit of leather on the heel and then some canvas inside on that quarter panel or a little extra breathability. The insole is not the lux light liner but it does feel nice and cushy so you’re going to get some good support out of that in the heel and then it thins out towards the toe for added board feel just a nice thin flexible vulcanized shoe. If you like some of the breaks in quickly and you don’t do a whole lot of high impact stuff, this is great for where that techie ledge guy or you like to skate mini ramps and little bowls probably perfect shoe for you.
Top 3 Best Vans Skate Shoes for Skateboarding
Best Vans Lindero Skate Shoes Review
We’re going to check out all the features and details of Vans Lindero low top bulk skate shoe so let’s just get right to it starting with the upper material as this has two different materials you’ve got a one-piece suede toe cap. One piece sway toe caps are great because they’re going to be durable, they’re going to last a long time and you don’t have any pieces or panels to be ripping apart there are some stitching going around on the top of the shoe but it’s just for looks doesn’t actually do anything. You also have some ventilation holes on top of the toe box to ensure that your feet aren’t overheating as you go back around the shoe you do have a canvas kind of side panel then that goes right into a thinly padded tongue and collar so padded tongues are great because of the skateboards coming out on top of your feet you aren’t going to be injuring your foot as you do have those around kind of waxed laces. So they’re going to last a lot longer than just kind of like those normal laces that you have. You’ve got coal molded PU cushioning on the inside they pull that out so as you can see super thick kind of like cushioning system under your heels where you need it but it kind of fins out under your foot or your forefoot so you get that board feel when you’re skating that shoe the vulcanized construction is called pro skate from vans. It is just a more heavy-duty kind of more durable vulcanized system that’s going to last a lot longer with that fox and tape and then as you can see on the bottom of the shoe you’ve got that classic vans waffle sole pattern and that’s it that’s the Lindero from Vans Lindero low top bulk skate shoe.
Best Vans Gilbert Crockett Pro Skate Shoes Review
The main story with this Vans Gilbert Crockett pro skate shoe is its low top waffle cup construction which is kind of like a hybrid between a waffle sole with your cup sole construction. You do have a big one-piece toe cap that suede so there’s not any panels to be ripping and these shoes are going to be extra durable. There’s a big story with this shoe is your ultra cush HD insert as you can see right there tons of padding under shoe’s heel where you need it so you’ve got that ultimate impact protection but then it does thin out under the forefoot so you get the board feel and you can definitely feel the board when you’re out there skating as you can see Finley’s padded tongue right there you do have a little bit of tiny padding around the collar and then it’s kind of thin right there at the heel that all sits on top of vans waffle cup technology so you get that impact protection of a cup sole but you get the flexibility and grip that you know and love from the Vans waffle tread pattern outsole right there that’s it that is the Vans Gilbert Crockett pro skate shoe.
Best Vans LXVI Secant Skate Shoes Review
The Vans lxvi secant shoe is a mid top cup sole shoe kind of inspired by as Chuck boots so we’re going to look at the features in the details of the shoe. Let’s just get into it starting with upper materials you get suede leather or textile upper as you can see right there big one piece toe cap so you’re going to be skating its toe caps going to last a lot longer. There’s some of the cost of stitches and panels that can fall apart so that’s suede that’s great as you go back you do have a love it on a quarter panel right there and then you get into swayed back there around the collar sendleap pad and calls and rechecked your feet keep them nice and comfortable you do have kind like this like neoprene backing right there. This is really going to lock your feet in it’s also super comfortable so your feet aren’t moving coming out of the shoes when you’re walking around. You do have a rule in soil right there as you can see a thicker under the hills where you need that protection thinner under your forefoot where you want that board feel vans does something called an action fit it’s where the heel is actually a little bit taller to mimic the fit of a running shoe gives the shoe little more lively feel because you’re more on the balls of your feet when you’re walking around and when you’re skating on the very bottom you do have what Vance calls their waffle flexed read it just improves the flexibility of the cups whole shoemaking it more anatomically correct flexing patterns and again just a better fit, better look on the bottom and that’s it that’s the lxvi secant shoes from Vans.
Top 2 Best Supra Skate Shoes for Skateboarding
Best Supra Vaider High Skate Shoes review
The Supra Vaider high-top skate shoes got a vulcanized rubber outsole. This provides good flexibility as you can see good skate ability vulcanized shoes are really fun to skate in nice to paddle toe cap that’s double stitched. So the extra stitching provides little more protection throughout their skating on double stitching will make your toe cap last a little bit longer. You’ve also got some hidden lace loops so right there you can lace your laces under the little panel and protect those laces from ripping if you’re out there skating them what else does this have the high top provides a lot of ankle support by having the caller comes up really high and padded so you know Ford’s are hitting your ankles it’s not going to be hurting your foot padded tongue nice little sliding metal logo as you can see is kind of a new little touch little flavor that a super put on their tongue of their shoes just a really solid skate shoe nice grippy soul so your feet aren’t sliding around when you’re out there skating there’s a Supra foam midsole which is internal it’s got a lot of protection for your feet. if you’re out there skating them jumping down stair sets jumping down gaps super foam midsole protecting your feet making sure you’re not getting heal bruises that’s the Vaider looks like.
Best Supra Muska Skytop Skate Shoes review
Supra Skytop shoe has a vulcanized rubber outsole if you’re skating them vulcanized shoes are really fun to skate in really flexible a lot of board feel great grip also have a internal neoprene toe cap which adds a little bit more protection. So if you are skating them you know a little more protection nice solid one-piece toe cap provides good skate ability a nice padded tongue up there and obviously with the high-top shoes you know big padded collar the collar is this part all around there the back you’ve got a extra heel protection that’s molded into the insole providing a little more support a little more protection when you’re out there skating super foam which is a material that’s in the midsole so kind of inside the shoe provides more protection when you’re jumping down those stairs sets if you’re skating them if you’re just chilling you know making a really comfortable shoe what else is going on with these shoes nice pull tab in the back so you can get those shoes on you know fingers aren’t getting jammed in there a little pull tab pull those shoes right up and onto your feet one thing that’s going to be kind of hard to see but it’s on the inside is a internal pocket for a change keys a little bit of money goes right inside on the tongue so that’s the Supra muscle sky top.

Cupsole vs Vulcanized
We are going to explain the difference between vulcanized and Cupsole shoes. So you’ve probably seen people say hey Vulc skates so good or I love Cupsoles I would never skate Vulc. We are going to give you a basic rundown of the difference so you can make your best decision on their most informed decision so the basic thing that’s different between Vulc and Cupsoles is the amount of protection Cupsole provide a lot more protection but at the price of maybe not as much board feel now board feel is actually feeling the board underneath your feet when you’re skating so you can be jumping down some big sets with like the dunk highs or even the excels but you might not feel the board as easily. So it might be a little bit harder to figure out when you need to flick or when you need to it’s just basically its board feel you can feel your board under your feet Cupsoles. On the other hand, you’ve got vulcanized soles which are a little bit thinner which provide a lot of board feel and a lot of flexibility but at the same time if you’re jumping down big stair sets, you might be injuring your feet getting heel bruises. So companies what they’re doing is they’re inserting actual extra padding in the soles like the Reynolds 3 they’ve got their system G2 insert which just protects your heels. Lakai does an equal form which again it’s just an insert inside the sole inside the shoe to protect your feet so vulcanize soles a lot of protection a lot of flexibility breaks in super easily but it doesn’t provide as much protection Cupsoles more protection less board feel protecting your feet a lot longer so if you find yourself getting heel bruises injuring your feet and your skating vulcanized shoes check out a couple if you find yourself um not being able to feel your board as much and you’ve been skating Cupsoles maybe check out a vulcanized shoe so we hope that kind of clears anything up about the debate which is better Cup first of all they both got their benefits and hopefully you can make your decision based on the needs you need.
We hope this “best skate shoes reivew” will help you out to select the best skate shoes for skateboarding as per your requirements. Find here more about skateboarding gear guide and reviews.

There are many companies in the market manufacturing helmets. We have reviewed some best hockey helmets below so let’s have a look at best hockey helmets review;
Best CCM Tacks 710 Hockey Helmet Review
We’re going to be checking out the next generation of CCM resistance helmets called the tacks. This is a top-line model called the tacks 710 so we’re going to get the preferred looks two-piece shell construction a single tool suggests men’s teacher thing we like about this is that unlike some of the linear adjustment systems. This gives you a full change in size from the back of the head so it really helps to lock down on the occipital bone on the back of the head so you get that great fit and lock into the liner. The first one being what they call your eye cushion system that’s the top layer of foam it’s an open-cell construction and it has the sealing layer to it. Basically, this is a gel memory foam like type material so it really helps the helmet to mold to your head giving you that great lock kind of working with the adjustment system but the comfort level on this thing is just unreal just think of the VN foam taken to the next level with just a nice layer of gel or foam. It does have some moisture channels as well this could help divert away the moisture away from your eyes. so again if you sweat, you get hot out there this is a great feature in half because it’s never fun getting sweat in the eyes and then this is going to be sitting on a pretty traditional being foam liner. They’re doubling up towards the back and on the top of the head giving you dual density VN so just giving you extra protection in a very vital area a lot of people can and you know take a big check and fall back on the back of their head so really beefing up the protection there which is another reason why they use their d3 light foam pods in this one. You have a big piece right in the center of the head again for those you know big checks where you can’t really catch yourself and you’re landing straight on the back your head and then you have two more pods on each side of the temple and then two more down through the center as well.
The cool thing about this helmet is that these d3o pods are sitting on top of the CC and bladder system so you’re getting protection from key technologies for not just high and low impacts but also rotational impact so just everything working to make sure that you’re as well protected as is possible out there. so as far as the fit type just like the resistance we can have more of a round shape rather than an oval say like the 3ds. it is coming in cage combo as well it’s coming with their new cage called the FN 680 has a very similar flat wire design to it. it comes in with a dual density chin cub has a cool kind of chrome graphic on the front adds a little pop out there and then it is going to come with a shock absorbing top clips as well. So you know if you take you know puck a slash off so the base map that just kind of helps to dampen you know a little bit of that impact energy.
Best Bauer IMS 5.0 Helmet Review
The Bauer AMS 5.0 hockey helmet has a traditional two-piece shell design and this is going to have tool free adjustment systems on it so you’re going to do is pull up the flaps on both sides and this is going to allow you to expand or contract the front to back shape of the helmet. After extending, it does kind of collapse a little bit to give you that customized fit. Now for airflow, they use a handful of vents but down through the front, you have two big vents there and then down through the center and also two more in the back too just to make sure that you’re getting good airflow keeping your head cool through the game. Now into the liner, this is a very traditional dual-density be in foam liner so as it’s going to have a nice base layer of a little bit harder being foam and then the top foam here is a little more of a comfort VM foam so right when you slide this helmet on it’s very comfortable, very traditional and fit and feel and then you can’t see deep down in there too those air vents shining through making sure you’re getting that good breathability. This is going to come in a cage combo as well it’s going to feature the 2100 TruVizion cage that has a traditional shape to it also comes with a single density chin cut that’s nice and comfortable.
Best Warrior PX3H5 Ice Hockey Players Helmet Review
The Warrior PX3 hockey helmet has a three-piece shell construction but it is going to just front to back in a traditional sense all you going to do is pop off these side pieces and it exposes two screws on each side you loosen these up and this will give you an adjustment from front to back and then for air flow they include a handful of Vince in the front as well as a hand fold down through the center that makes sure you have some consistent airflow during the game. Now into the liner, they bring over the foreplay system because this works really well with that traditional front to back adjustment system so once you go ahead and you get the front and back adjusted this is when you want to hit the foreplay and this allows you to get a more of a 360-degree specific fit to your head. The little dial will pull an entire back piece in or out so then you get a real good lock up under the occipital bone makes sure your helmet is securely fastened to your head to give you as best protection as possible so great to have that in combination with the other fit system and as far as the liner goes and you are going to have a nice EPP base layer. This EPP foam is really lightweight foam that’s great and managing high impacts those going to be the really violent hits to the head so you’re going to be covered in that sense but you’re also going to be covered for low impacts as well. This helmet has a traditional V in foam that will line the interior of the helmet that sits on your head so this is a great feature of this helmet.
The thing we really like about it is that it’s very traditional and it’s fit and feel when you slip it on for your first time has a really soft feel when it’s sitting on your head especially when you go ahead and you adjust with the two different systems but they also did double up on some more medium density foams and the key areas on the back of the head as well as near the temples so this is going to give you enhanced protection on those key areas so this is going to come in a cage combo as well and that comes with warriors crown 2.0 cage. It’s a nice steel construction it’s designed for optimal vision and as far as the cage does have the dual density chin cup that gives you some good comfort as well as some good protection.
Best Reebok 7K Ice Hockey Helmet Review
The Reebok 7k hockey helmet offers a similar overall design to the rest of the helmets in the line a couple different features though so starting out on the exterior of this helmet. It’s still a two-piece helmet so you have your front lobe as well as the back lobe it’s going to be a tool free adjustment feature which is going to be pipe popping this piece up on both sides what that to do it’s going to expand or contract the helmet making sure you get a great fit out of it because that’s going to be the most important thing as far as a helmet offering great protection and also this is the most affordable helmet in the Reebok line that’s offering that sub shell which makes the helmet a little bit lighter as well as keeping that level of protection so it’s a really lightweight helmet have air vents in the front as well as in the back really allows a lot of that air to enter the helmet coolly off as well as now since it’s having the sub shell you have those vents on the side right there which is going to allow even more air to enter the helmet so it’s always great to see going on to the inside of the helmet great level protection with this helmet. You’re getting the EPP foam a denser material offering great level of protection and then you have your soft comfort strip that provides really nice soft feel. It’s going to take away the pressure points inside the helmet as well as offering some protection against those lighter more jarring hits so this has been a look at the 7K hockey helmet.
Best Easton 600 Hockey Helmet Review
Easton 600 hockey helmet is very similar to the east 700 helmet. What the slight difference of the shell design is this is a two piece shell as opposed to a one piece shell that’s on the Easton 700. So the top part is a polycarbonate shell. It’s very strong and stiff and will give you great crush resistance while the sub shell is a high-density polyethylene giving you that multi impact protection and going to the front you can see it is that same sleek design as the Easton 700. You get the two vents on the top and that will continue through the sides and through the back of the helmet helping your head stay cool. They’re going into the liner as they give it a full EPP liner so it’s going to give you that high level protection all the way around and then they covered that with some nice soft comfort pads to help keep your head comfortable in the helmet.
And then something new for these helmets as they brought in the gyro fit system. There’s a system that they borrowed from bell helmets those are the bike helmets and so to adjust these are you going to do there’s two adjustments on the sides all you got to do is pull it out and put it in the adjustment that you need and then it’ll do a hike just meant for you just in case your heads a little bit longer than others. The helmet does also come in a cage combo comes with the Easton 700 cage that is a carbon steel cage so it’s going to be really lightweight, very strong and protective. It does come with a compression molded chin cup that is a floating chink up so you can’t adjust it to where you need to be and it is covered with a liker to give you that nice comfortable feel and it does have some moisture channels to help get that sweat out.
Best Bauer Senior Mission Inhaler Hockey Helmet Reivew
The Bauer mission inhaler hockey helmet come in a helmet only and cage combination for that combo. It’s going to come with a Bauer 9900 cage. Now looking at the shell design as it is two-piece shell design it’s really nice because you have a coolest single adjustment feature. So all you get to do is prop it up and then you can slide it out and in and it gives you a really nice customized fit because the best helmet for you is the helmet that fits you the best so you really get to make sure you get a really nice comfortable and sold lock on your head. When you look at the front through the helmet, you can just see all the ventilation ports that they go through and really try to help out with that airflow. So when you’re out playing on the outdoor rink and it’s really hot outside, it’s going to help keep your head cool and dry too. The liner of this helmet this is really similar to Bauer 5100 helmets. It’s a really proven already done technology so it’s good to see them kind of take that and evolve on it especially for roller hockey guys.
It contains pro preferred VNL liner which is that gray in black foam. It’s really soft to the touch especially the gray one so almost like a comfort foam and you have some really protective black foam up top and then down there below, they use their comfort catcher. This is a super soft Absa block and at that again it just really makes sure that helmet fits you properly. So it’s not going to be sliding around if you take a big hit. It’s going to make sure you’re well protected. Hog sweat band is its cool feature as it’s completely removable in case you don’t like it or you want to buy some more and wash them or just kind of have a little stash of these but it is removable. There are two little plugs just go inside of the little holes and that is how it’s securely fastened and it doesn’t fall out while you’re playing so it’s a really nice simple little feature. And then as we get further into it you could really see all the ventilation that they have given this helmet so it’s got some really great air flow and then other feature that we usually is featured in 5100 helmet which is the VEX inserts and that is just a layer behind the VN foam liner just give you some really great advanced level of protection. Another really cool feature about this helmet is that it is inspired for the roller hockey player but this is heck and CSA certified so you are able to use it legally in the ice hockey leagues whatever it may be.
Best CCM FitLite 40 Ice Hockey Helmet Review
The CCM Fit Lite 40 hockey serves a two piece tool adjustable shelf and to go ahead and just that all you get to do is hit the flips on both sides which allow you to expand or contract the helmet and then the CCM logos on both sides are going to be simply stickers. So if you don’t like that look or if you just want a little cleaner look, you can go ahead and take those off no problem down through the front. You have a lot of air vents as well as down through the center and out the back just to make sure that you stay nice and cool during the game and then you are going to have some sealant removable ear covers into the liner. This is where you see their multi density foam liner has a really nice soft feel to it has some nice moisture channels to help wick away the moisture outside of the eyes just going to give it a nice overall high-level protection.
This also comes in a cage combo. The cage combo is going to come with the FL 40 cage that has round wires that are grain color and now this is going to give you good on rink vision as well as just some cool looks in general as far as the chin cup goes it is going to be a single density chin cup for some good comfort and protection and it does have a wire guard on the bottom of it as well to give you more enhanced protection all the way around.
Best Warrior PX2 Ice Hockey Helmet Review
Warrior Crown PX2 hockey helmet has the big update since its launch is the shell design. It has a really sick modern look to it really edgy we can’t say enough good things about just the overall appearance of it. They improved on their tools adjustment systems as well so what you get to do is hit the flaps on both sides it’s a spring-loaded adjustment feature and it’s completely tool less so you don’t need tools but it’s going to allow you to expand and contract a helmet give you a nice personalized fit. Now as far as the liner is concerned really nice and traditional there it’s going to be a dual density VN foam down through the front and then in the back where you really need that protection you’re getting a triple layers the reason why they include triple layers on the back is because typically when you fall backwards, you can’t catch yourself and break your fall so really beefed it up there just in case that does happen but throughout the rest of it gives you that really nice traditional VN foam.
You see a lot of NHL pro still using VN foam just because it has an awesome feel right out of the box. It’s not too stiff so gives you that really nice comfortable feel without having to break it in and then down through the center as well as on the side you’re going to see how well then elated the foam is as well so working with the air vents that are on the shell really going to help push out that hot air and keep you nice and cool. So those will be available in a cage combo as well. The cage combo comes with a crown to boy no cage has a multi density chin cup on it so really nice and comfortable also have some great looks to it.
Best Bauer Prodigy Youth Hockey Helmet Combo Review
The Bauer Prodigy Youth hockey helmet has a two piece shell construction and the looks are patterned after that of the top line react 100 helmet. It’s going to have a tool to adjustment feature on it as well so you have to hit the clips on both sides let’s go allow you to fully expand and contract the helmet allowing you to properly fit it to your child’s head so they can have that optimal level of protection for comfort. They include a handful of nice Vince through the front down through the center as well as out through the back now moving on to the chin strap this where we see a really awesome you specific feature now does have that traditional hard snap and this is going to be ideal for your first time getting the helmet fitting it to your child’s head to get that secure protection but then they’re going to be able to use the easy snap buckle on their own so whether in the middle of the game they need to take their helmet off you know they don’t need a parent or a coach to come over and help them.
This has a nice traditional liner that has dual density liners through the majority of it. This is one of the most popular liners in the NHL the big part is going to be the comfort has a really nice soft feel to it. So they’re really going to enjoy how it feels when they first slip it on but really it is a great at managing those high and low energy impacts so they help keep them protected on all sorts of hits. Now for the more common one and the younger group is going to be the straight fall to the back of the head. Bauer go ahead and include another piece of foam there so you have triple density foam on the back really to help protect the back of that players head if they do slip and fall because you don’t really have time to put out your hand and break your fall internally.
They have a handful of Vents which are coming through from the shell unlike some other helmets on the market. This is actually going to let that hot air escape out of the helmet and bring in that cooler so this is also offered in a cage combo have some great youth specific features too. Now the first one being the easy snaps on the sides so unlike traditional snaps that require a lot of pressure and usually need an adult this simply just flips up when you need to release it and it just slides back on so it’s a lot easier for those younger players that do it themselves. The other great one being is the adjustability the adjustable top clips as well as for position Jay hooks on the sides now with these two key features allows you to move the facemask up and download a player space as well as in and out. So you know if you get this when they’re really young and it fits pretty optimally on that small size setting. You’re going to be able to adjust the helmet as they grow so they stay well protected and they can grow into and you don’t have to go through helmets as often as well.
Best CCM Resistance 110 Hockey Helmet Review
The new CCM resistance 110 hockey helmet has that professional look and feel down through the front you can see how they’re using plenty of air vents same goes for the back. It’s going to make sure you’re staying nice and cool out there a great feature to see at this price point is the single adjustment feature there is a tool list so you don’t need any tools to adjust. Let’s go ahead and flip up the flap and it’s going to pivot on both sides there when you do go ahead and try and expand or contract it and it gives you a really nice lock on the back of the head. Now look into the liner as this is going to be a very traditional fit and feeling liner so you get dual density foams there that top layer that light layer is going to be the comfort foam really soft to the touch but the darker layer in the back that’s more protective layer and really helping to absorb that energy as you do take hits down through the center you are going to see how those air vents come all the way through the foams too so really just to emphasize on how well this does help keep you cool. so this will be available in a cage combo as well. Cage combo is going to come with the FM 580 cage. There’s a nice silver wire designed to it. It does have a floating chin cup that has a nice fabric coating on it gives you a nice level of comfort but it is going to give you a high level of protection too.

Things to Consider While Selecting the Right Hockey Helmet
We’re going to be going over on how to select the right hockey helmet for you so just to keep in mind all the helmets that we’re going to be carrying come in a cage combo as well as a helmet only version. Now helmet only version is going to be the more affordable of the two that gives you more value in the long run because it’s a little more inexpensive to buy it complete than to buy the helmet and then the cage. Whereas this is better for the player who already has a cage they want to use a visor or if they don’t use either so each manufacturer does a really good job of making helmets at all the different price points and each price point they’re generally categorized by different types of protection and adjustment features in each helmet. So that’s what we’re going to be looking through breaking down so you can make the best choice for you.
Let’s start off with the VNL foam liner. These come in a couple different densities so you get single dual and triple density liners so you’ve got two different layers. The black thick layer is going to be the more energy absorbent it’s going to be the best you know dissipating the impact energy so they want to add a little more comfort to it. They add another thin layer on top of it this is your comfort foam. It also helps you absorb some of that energy that’s really primarily for comfort and this is going to be the most traditional option a little more old-school and then some manufacturers also do add another type of technology in there with it. VN foam liner takes a step up in performance and protection you’re going to see the EPP foam liner now you might recognize the texture of it from your bicycle helmet. This is one of the most lightweight and protective foams on the market so you’re going to see this in most higher-end helmets.
The EPP foam is really stiff and rigid so the most companies that use the EPP base layer foam, they will use a memory or comfort foam over the top of it just to give you a little more added comfort on the inside that same thing with bowers flagship model the react they use a nice EPP base layer there just give you that awesome lightweight protection and then they use in their suspend tech liner there that just helps better manage rotational impact energy. So this is another great example of just kind of combining the EPP liner with something else and a little bit extra.
How to Size the Hockey Helmet Perfectly
We are going to be doing a quick overview right now of how to select the right size hockey helmet for you and we’re going to be breaking down how to measure your own head size as well as matching that up with that right size in that manufacturer and then going over the right fit of a helmet. First thing you want to do in selecting the right size hockey helmet is to know your own head size. You can do this two ways and most of manufacturers will offer the equivalent for that size in both your hat size as well as your head circumference. So personally we like using the hat size some just because we wear hats and it’s just really easy you don’t have to do anything you just have to look underneath the hat and see what it is.
If you don’t know your hat size, you can always do that with a soft tape and measuring tape as well is if you don’t have one of those it’s real easy to just grab a string or an old skate lace you can go ahead and just throw that on your head and you want to just have it around the back your head on the kind of point that sticks out the most in the back and you’ll just line up there and then you’ll just kind of pull it across the front about 1/4 of an inch above your eyebrows and you want to just kind of pinch it there get it nice and snug so that’s going to be your length. And then you’ll bring that down onto your table and you can tape a ruler tape measure whatever you have to measure that portion of the string and see what that length is and that’s going to be your head circumference alright. So now that you know your own head size.
The next step is to figure out what manufacturer you’re looking at the reason for this is each manufacturer is going to have a similar but sometimes slightly different sizing for each size. So for example you just pick Bauer as an example and so you will be looking at a Bauer hockey helmet and there you have the Bauer sizing guidelines. It’s going to break down the different size ranges for each one now the helmets are adjustable so that’s why you do see a range of sizes. Sometimes you might be in between a couple different sizes but you can usually guess just as a rule of thumb.
We hope this “Best Hockey Helmet Review” will help you out in selecting the best hockey helmet as per your requirements. Find here more about hockey gear guides and reviews.

Things to Consider While Selecting the Right Sock for Hiking and Backpacking
When you’re thinking about buying a new pair of hiking boots or shoes, have you also considered buying a new pair of socks that can play a very important role in the comfort and fit of any footwear and they’re not something that should be thought about as a secondary item when you’re buying footwear. One of the most important things that your socks are doing for your feet when you’re hiking in them is managing moisture that includes sweat coming off your feet as well as moisture that’s in the air or perhaps coming through your boot should you have walked through something wet and do not have a waterproof shoe.
Different Types of Materials of Hiking Socks
So you have different types of material socks are made out of basics would be some sort of a wool, a synthetic or a cotton sock. Cotton is something you’d want to avoid because cotton acts like a sponge and just absorbs water pulls it into that fabric and holds on to it doesn’t let it go this result in you having a very wet uncomfortable foot which often results in blistering and hot spots. A merino wool sock would probably be the best option to go with wools kind of a wonderful natural fabric it manages moisture, body odor and controls temperature better than all other fabrics. Man-made and natural synthetic would be another option this is going to be a sock that does not have a wool fiber in it should you be allergic tool or just find it uncomfortable for some reason that would be another option to go with but in order to make sure your feet are as dry and as comfortable as they can be, you would want to be looking for a wool hopefully merino wool sock or synthetic sock and be avoiding cotton at all costs.
Choosing the Hiking Socks with Perfect Fit
So another benefit of a hiking specific sock is going to be the fit of the sock. Socks that are designed for hiking and backpacking outdoor recreation typically have a kind of like a knitted arch support or brace so you seal that and it doesn’t want to move around you’ve got some support and cushioning in the heel unto the forefoot as well and then a nice kind of a knit around up there that’ll have more of a spandex or last essene content to it so the sock stays up and doesn’t slide down what this does for the fit in the shoe is it creates no bunching no socks rubbing finding around this again results in less blistering, more comfort to your foot and maybe the need to eliminate wearing multiple layers of socks that sort of thing socks and shoes work together in a system to keep your feet more dry and comfortable. So whether you’re out for just a day hike or you’re going for an extended backpacking trip remember to be kind to your feet.
So we hope this “Best Hiking Socks Review” will help you out to select the best hiking socks as per your requirements. Find here more about hiking gear guides and reviews.
