Nike SB check solarsoft shoe is probably one of the thinnest shoes in the market. This is going to be very flexible and glove like from day one uses the hyper field technology. This is like there’s nothing in there. This is literally like you only have the outsole and then a little bit of the kind of rip stop sort of material there suede upper all the way around one-piece toe comes back to protect the stitches in the Ollie area and then you get a good amount of padding around the collar more right in the area which is kind of cool all the old skate shoes used to have a lot of padding in there but that’s kind of shied away from that for some reason gives you more support and gives you protection from the shark bites. Nike SB Bruin hyper feel is the second addition to the new hyper feel line and it’s got some of the same tech as that costing three but toned down a little bit so it looks more like a traditional skate shoe. It gets the main features suede upper seams all the way back so you won’t have to worry about ripping that up too much cup sole construction it actually feels very flexible out of the box a little more stiff in the heel as you expect and then you get some perforations there on the side as well as the inside and on the tongue. The tongue also has some centering straps there so you get a little more of a comfortable fit and your tongue won’t be sliding around which is always nice thinly padded collar and then you get to that hyper feel drop-in insole. What hyper field technology is basically they have thinned out the console construction so it’s super floppy without the insole and you’re getting a very thin flexible shoe and then they can create all of that padding that you want your shoe out of that insole. So you can get a nice thick supported insole under your heel and then it can thin out a lot more under your toe and you get more of a bulk feel under your forefoot four board feel. This insole similar to the costumes but it has a little more of the kind of more standard foam and it does feel a little bit thicker and then you get a little different pattern of flex screws there but also giving you the same sort of feel and look and idea that’s about it. This is a nice black tone down color way you also get some more bright ones and the red and blue and then some nice-looking gray and kind of other colors.

The Nike SB zoom GTS skate shoe looks familiar it’s because supreme dropped a collab but it has still all the great features. As it’s a low top vulcanized skate shoe that’s got the majority of the uppers canvas but then key areas are suede so you get a little more durability when you’re skating Scripps Wayne right there. You get suede right over there on the heel snap. Those heel flips are super cool do have a kind of the Finley padded collar and medium padded collar have a padded tongue as well. The tongue centering lace loop right there you do have a zoom air unit in the heel blood. When you jump down the stairs sets that’s going to protect your heels from heel bruises all of that sits on top of a flexible grippy herringbone tread pattern and like already mentioned vulcanized construction. The Nike SB blazer low XT probably isn’t that just the Cory Kennedy whereas the CK basically the same shoe some little subtle differences that we’re going to point out here. If you do take a look at the toe cap, there’s a little more foxing tape on this version and it has that rough textured material comes a little lower here and then the front of the toe cap almost the same just slight differences in the contour there and then your heel tabs a little different. You get the classic blazer one there but besides that pretty much the same collars feel the same a little bit different material on the inside of the blazer and you get that same vulcanized construction. There’s a little stiff in the toe but you do have some stuff in there a little better once you pull that out same outsole on the bottom nice and grippy durable. What you have for the tongue is these tongue bands are upgrade with the XT model that are in the blazer low and the GT which feels nice just a little better fit for your foot. Many people like to having something like that in the shoe and then you get that classic Zoom Air unit in the heel with the zoom air insole. It’s a good low profile shoe very durable with that rubber toe cap lasts long going to give you a lot of grip and your flick.

The Nike SB Koston Hypervulc shoe is very similar to the costume 3 but toned down a little bit with that original costume upper so you don’t have that big sock line and everything but you get that hyper field technology with a vault construction. The cup sole construction of the costume 3 was thinned as there’s no midsole or anything so it shouldn’t really change how the two skates. Even though it does have that molded foxing tape around there instead of the cups all construction so hyper feel actually is there. It’s a very thin gutted out shoe with no midsole so when you take this insole out super thin nothing to restrict your board feel in any way and everything you have is in the insole so they’re able to construct a shoe that skates exactly like they want. You get a nice thick padding under the heel lots of arch support in there and then thinner under the toe so it doesn’t interfere with board feel. This is quite a bit different than the custom 3 insole cost and 3 insole Lunarlon. It’s a little bit thinner because that’s a little bit more of a firmer material. You also have the zoo insole don’t have that in this so this is actually a lots more similar to the Bruin outsole which you can see there does feel just slightly thicker there maybe a little bit more arch support but going to skate pretty similar to that Bruin but it has the Koston upper. It has the little more of a padded collar they’re not a lot but enough to protect you a little bit breathable tongue a little bit of padding not a whole lot and you have a gusseted tongue and a little bit of elastic there so give you a little more snug fit and then you have that tongue centering band right there that’s about it nice flexible shoe should break in pretty quickly and be nice and grippy.

Nike SB zoom P-Rod X skate shoe gives you just a really good skating. The Nike SB Dunk Low pro IW shoe is basically like the same dunk that’s always been outs but this one’s been slimmed down a little bit more flexible of a better board feel than the puffs of your dunks of previous models. It’s kind of slimmed down on the front you can see the difference between the toe boxes. You can also see it right up there in the collars super cool. The Ishod dunk collar doesn’t have the pods in the back heels so again it’s just a slimmer fitting shoe. The Nike SB Stefan Janoski HT skate shoe stands for high tape because the foxing tape just kind of extends higher onto the upper of the shoe that’s mostly done just for the looks but it will probably give you more grip in your flick there may be a little bit more durability just because you do have more rubber on the toe kind of like a rubber toe cap but obviously it doesn’t fully extend to the top probably take a little bit longer to break these in just because there is that more rubber. You do have the ultra durable toe cap which is cool deconstructed upper with a very thinly padded collar. This DC Evan Smith’s model is a great low profile vulcanized shoe with a unique rubber toe cap and the fact that this rubber toe bumper actually kind of extends up around the toe box which is awesome is probably one of the best looking rubber toe caps out right now and every company’s got them. This has definitely got to be top three so super rad props to you DC so low top vulcanized construction you do have a super suede one-piece toe cap but you also got that rubber toe bumper so extra durability and then as you go back around the side panel you do have super canvas so super duper canvas and suede make sure your shoe lasts a long time. A pretty thin collar right is there not a whole lot of padding just going to kind of wrap around a foot and nice little loop right there to yank of shoes on and off. You do have a Finley padded tongue right there and then a plush seven millimeter ortholite sock liner. It is removable but if you ever worn a shoe with ortholite, you know how comfortable this is and then extra well seven millimeters can be super plush really comfy. The other big story besides the rubber toe cap is DC’s impact eye technology and the way that works is the little cones right there. The Tiago shoe is the brand-new pro model for Tiago Lemos dropping fall 2017 from DC Shoes. There’s a lot of packed into this shoe, a lot of tech going on so let’s jump into it with this big suede. Super suede toe cap DC special suede design the last 50 percent longer than your average suede plus it also has super stitch which is a high tensile strength stitching also design for higher durability. The seams are definitely pushed back outside of the highest wear areas so even if you’re ollie’s area is right in there. You got some overlapping materials and that super stitch so it shouldn’t be blowing out on you. It is a cupful construction with an e VA midsole for support. It also has DCs impact, a technology which is the airbag on the inside. You do get it on the inside under the heel so you get a lot of support and impact protection there. But if you’re a guy that likes little bit of the older style of shoes where they were as well as the skate shoe, they’re also protection for your feet. Mikey Taylor’s 2 Pro model shoe aptly called the Mikey Taylor. It looks really similar to the original one but it’s got a couple design additions one being the heel counter kind of support really locks that healing keeps your foot nice and secure. This shoe features super suede obviously not on the bottom but on super suede upper. It’s going to last 50% longer so your shoes don’t blow out as quickly as you can see big one-piece toe cap that’s another nice feature you do have some perforations on top of the toe box so this provides a little bit of ventilation in out of the shoe. You do have the padded tongue that also has venting so again making sure a foot can breathe a lot and it doesn’t overheat when you’re skating. A big thing with the Mikey Taylor – is your drop-in unilite midsole they pull that thing out. Yoona light super padded is going to be comfortable provide impact protection under your heels where you need it but then as it thins out under your forefoot gives you that flexibility and it moves with your foot giving you great board field. Laast couple things we want to point out is you do have DC’s pill pattern tread on the bottom so again provides grip with those grooves. The DC Wes Kremer 2S is very similar to its first model but they upgraded it to make it feel and fit a lot more like a slip-on shoe. So if you take a look at the back of the tongue, it’s got the big elastic bands that’ll hold you really nice and snug in there even if your shoes aren’t tied tight. But what’s great about it is that it does still have two lace loops there so you can cinch it up with your laces and get a tighter fit than most slip ons besides that is very similar to the other model it has the big one-piece super suede toe. So super suede going to last 50% longer than your average suede. You also have the abrasion resistance screen around the toe cap for a little extra durability on top of very flexible vulcanized construction definitely more flexible than other vulcanized shoes that are on the market with the grippy outsole there. And you get a medium padded collar a little bit of protection there which is nice and you have the impact S insole if we can get it out which is not very thick which is great because it’s not going to mess with your board feel at all but it does have that PU material that it’s made out of that’s very impact absorbent. So even if you’re jumping on it, it’s not going to hurt your feet so that is about it. This is the black color way there with that yellow highlight it looks really nice and then the all gray same shoe but different look.

Pure SE is another good skate shoe from DC. What are you getting with the shoe you’re getting premium materials, a thickly padded tongue and also a thickly padded collar for superior comfort and fit. The Huff Boyd skate shoes have a cuff sole construction so you get some good impact protection out of that and it feels fairly flexible once you started getting warmed up so you’ll have some good board feel. So it’s going to be again more durable and the shoes less a little bit longer that premium pig suede does wrap around the collar. You do have eight heavy padded EVA insulates that is removable super thick EVA under the heel where you need it for that impact absorption but then it does thin out under the forefoot just like most insoles. The HUF Gillette skate shoe has a super clean and refined upper with very minimal design that it’s just kind of like a very fashion-forward skateboarder’s shoe. The low top silhouette sits on top of a cup sole construction but you’ve got a geometric tread pattern outsole that enhances the flex and grip of the shoe you normally don’t get within certain cups all designs. So it’s going to give you good board feel right out of the box sole feels really grippy you can even feel your finger squeaking on that so it’s real grippy. The Lakai Porter brand-new shoe came out spring 2017 pretty low profile vulcanized shoe definitely feels very flexible sure it’ll break in nice and quickly feels very grippy on the bottom. Lakai has always given us durable outsoles which we appreciate seems set back out of the high wear area so you get a big suede toe cap without having to worry about ripping those seams laces are also set up pretty high and far back so should be somewhat protected from your flicks callers very thin there really isn’t any protection there but a lot of people like those thin collars.
