Kanae.. Oh Sweet Kanae…

Gentle as a flower, her soft and gentle scent of rain and Sakura petals always seemed to linger onto her, even if she never usually wore perfume. Someone so kind.. so warm…

Sanemi could still feel her lips on his forehead, on his nose, and anywhere that mattered.

She had initially panicked a little when Sanemi had regressed for the first time, the poor thing tucked into a corner of his own house, wanting to be seen and cared for- yet so scared of being hurt more and more times. She gently reached out for him to sniff her hand with a hint of concern on her kind face. “My Love… hey… it’s just me, baby… it’s just me..” *She crooned gently, earning a small, cautious head pat.* “nae…” *He mumbled, clearly slipping further due to being slightly embarrassed about his girlfriend seeing him like… this.*

Kanae… Who cuddled him so gently and warm, making sure he was nice and warm with blankets. She read him stories, made tea (cooling it down of course), and made sure he knew he was safe…

So why did she have to go…? Was he too scary..? Too aggressive..? Did he chew on something he wasn’t allowed to…?

He’ll change… promise… he won’t be so mean to Gen anymore.. he’ll let the evil Tanuki play with him sometimes! Just… don’t go mama…

He promises he’ll be good this time… He even let the Master pet him! See how good he’s being? Why is Mama stone now..? Why can’t he smell Mama anymore..? He wants to be held by mama again.. he’s tired, mama… so.. so tired… he’s going to be turning a big boy age in two weeks! A whole 25 years old! Can you believe it? 25! Surely the baby will have some cake or something, right…?

Okay so kinda heavy- obviously trigger warning for sa but it’s based off of a headcanon of mine that Obanai was groomed when growing up with that snake demon. Hence his appearance, the oversized clothes, jagged hair cut, abrasive nature, fear of women, anything to seem unattractive and push other away. Except Mitsuri who against all odds actually loves, actually wants to be with him. And Obanai wants to do anything for the girl who saved him, he loves her more than his own life. He’s just stupid, and filthy, and disgusting, and he can’t love her like he should without freaking out or disassociating horribly. Except he never tells her what he’s been through- he should be over this by now, and it’s Mitsuri! She can’t hurt him, she loves him. (Which was so heavily inspired by that one part with Zenitsu telling Nezuko she can’t rape him, their married and he’s a guy because that actually made me sob) And it’s different when you love someone… it’s supposed to be different, why is he so broken…

I have like 8,000 words of just Obanai having a terrible time and refusing to communicate anything and being self destructive, but most of it is in bits and pieces so I’ll dm you a part of it that’s sorta completed if you’d like :D

I have that same headcanon about Obanai, since SA is unfortunately so common in cults.

(Actually I’ve always thought the plot of Poetic Dissonance would make more sense with obamitsu instead of zennezu, I was just really in the mood to write Zenitsu angst that day.)

I have to admit, Ubuyashiki is not a character I think about a lot but this makes a lot of sense! Feeling so weak in every other way Kagaya wants to be strong for everyone at least in this. It's gotta be a very interesting dynamic when he's found out, but you know all the hashira would just adore him.

babyreg viktor is always on my mind 🥹 currently thinking of him nuzzled into jayce’s shoulder and whining, “papa, papa,” over and over again, simply because that option to voice his desire for comfort is possible. no one will hurt him for it.

jayce who makes baby viktor bottles of milk and holds him as he suckles on it sleepily, and eventually conks out in his papa’s arms, safe and warm and so loved for who he is.

baby regressor viktor who bites his crinkle toys and kicks his good leg and babbles and screams and laughs deeply, and joyously because this is now his life, an option of warmth and security and happiness. because jayce helped him reach it. and it’s so worth it!

Oh this is so self indulgent. Very heavily stylized demon slayer doodles (highly inspired by beddybites art)

Rambling time:

1: Tanjiro with long hair my beloved + he has bandages on his neck from well…. (Points to the mugen train arc) baby suffers from self harm

2: Genya’s and Tanjiro’s relationship is just, sleepiest baby x sunshine caregiver

3: Tanjiro can’t actually carry Genya due to their height difference. He tries to explain this so many times and Genya is just like “welp if I’m too tall then I’ll sit on the floor- and boom! Problem solved. Now I’m shorter than you.” It breaks Tanjiro’s heart every time the little does this and makes grabby hands towards him cause it’s just like “baby, no, just because your sitting on the floor doesn’t change the fact your over 6 feet tall”

>:0 >:[ <- Genya’s reaction every time. Actually the grumpiest toddler ever. He doesn’t understand. The compromise is Tanjiro being used as a headrest. Genya is still grouchy over this fact.

4: Second picture is what happens when a sleep deprived overworked Tanjiro decides that, no he doesn’t need a break, or to ask someone else to watch over his kiddos, it’ll be fine. Only for said kiddos to realize that their caregiver is NOT in fact fine, and device a plan to get him to nap with them. So now Tanjiro is sandwiched between the two, because it’s a known fact that nightmares can’t get to you if you cuddle -trust us it’s proven, mhm, highly tested now lay down- and is 100% going to wake up regressed himself

5: Someone get one of the pillars, we need an actual adult here (preferably not Sanemi or 2 outta 3 littles are going to end up crying)

Hashira Holding their Littles!

Pt. 2 as promised!!!

Next on the list is Mitsuri Kanroji!!!

Oh boy..

She has three littles, (maybe four… dunno yet!) Obanai, Giyuu, And Muichiro!

She holds all her babies like they weigh absolutely nothing, she’s so sweet about it too..!

Muichiro is quite literally still a child and still so small, even if he insists he’s a Big Boy, baby what is the four year old talking about? Little guys like him need to be cradled and get kissies!! Silly goose! Giyuu is a bit harder because of all of the blankets he has, But Mama manages!! She’ll wrap that baby like a burrito and might just gobble him up!! Just kidding! He’s so sleepy and tired, so it’s much easier to cuddle with him.

Nothing compares to Obanai, though!! Hes already so small physically, but he’s just a baby when little! He just wants cuddles all the time :,( He wants to keep Kaburamaru nice and warm all the time, and Mama is all nice and warm and she makes his tummy feel warm and fuzzy and NO HES NOT GIGGLING WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT-

Anyways- she loves all her babies so much and spoils them so much..<3

The Pickup-ability of the Kamaboko Squad! (Measured by Inosuke)

Tanjiro- Pretty easy, but the thing is, when Tanjiro is really little- he’s really weepy and tired, so he just is really startled so easily, and starts to cry, much to everyone’s panic.

Nezuko- can be picked up and thrown around like a baby! She giggles a lot, and really loves spending time with Big Boss Inosuke <3

Zenitsu- thrown around like a sack of potatoes:( also really frightened super easily, and the only one who is allowed to lift him up and toss him is Papa (Tengen!)

Kanao- Hates it. Absolutely hates being grabbed and roughed up. She would beat his butt if he wasn’t Big Brother of The Pack, cries so much afterwards much to Inosuke’s surprise and panic. “AHHHH! Jenga! What do I do?!? Why is water there!!?!?” -> “Calm down! I’ve got her.” -> *Genya came to her quietly, knowing how scared the baby fawn could get.* “hey, baby… it’s alright… it’s all over, wanna cuddle with Bug?” *She nods, and Genya scoops her up, cradling the small fawn regressor in his arms..*

Genya- Sometimes likes it- depends… Giggles with come out somewhat, but mainly huffs and puffs of the Little Wolf.

This is a tried and true method. Trust him, he’s a professional

~Raise you one, squirmy baby. He’s like a little inch worm wiggling around. He finds it amusing for Inosuke to toss him and twirl him around like some type of baby balance beam. until Inosuke almost does let go of him and he’s afraid that he’s going to fall and then he really gets upset.

~Aww Nezuko is having a great time. Zenitsu and Tanjiro might be freaking out having a mini heart attack, but she’s having a great time :D 10 outta 10. She’d be asking Inosuke for uppies all the time.

~Oh poor thing. Baby is treated like a hacky sack :< Inosuke just kinda assumes that if the kamado’s enjoy it, then so does the rest of his pack.

~Papa Tengen mentioned!!! Inosuke does not nderstand what the flashy man has that he doesn’t >:1

~Kanao needs to be cradled. Held gently and softly. She’s just a tiny little thing

~Genya hardly ever gets to be carried due to his height so he would probably love it and it would make him feel super tiny, but he gets embarrassed and can’t admit that he likes being held so he pouts

~Adding Muichiro because I think it’s funny. He is so insulted when Inosuke sneaks up behind him and just wraps his arms around his waist and hoists him into the air like he weighs nothing. But when he’s set on Inosuke’s shoulders he realizes that he’s (by all technicality) taller than most of the pillars now… huh. He totally uses that as an excuse to rub it in Obanai’s and Giyu’s face that he’s taller than them now! And of course big brother Inosuke is completely fine with the staring chaos

Muichiro being carried by Inosuke running around laughing his little head off <3

-> little bunny/ kitty having a deadpan expression but having the time of his life

Mitsuri FREAKING OUT because one of her little babies is being thrown around!

I have a feeling that Mama Mitsuri picks all of her babies up no matter what because she’s So Strong and she Loves them<3

Muichiro is such a gremlin. He’s having so much fun and no one stops the two because it’s nice seeing the Hashira actually acting like a child again

Mitsuri would be so nervous. She trusts Inosuke, it’s fine, she’s fine, the babies are fine- it’s not fine at all! Inosuke sweetie put them down someone’s going to get hurt she just knows it! Mama Mitsuri being able to pick up all her kiddos is always such a surprise to the little’s in question.

How do you think Kaburamaru interacts with Obanai differently from when he’s regressed vs not regressed? Does he notice right away when Obanai is little?

To the second question yes! We know Kaburamaru is very in tune with Iguro and I think that extends to regression. I think he often notices before anyone else does!

For how he acts I think the snake knows little games like peek-a-boo or how to hover right outside of Iguro’s reach while he tries to grab him!! He’s also great at giving Obanai a source of physical attachment that isn’t so overwhelming. I’m not sure what kind of snake Kaburamaru is but I guess they all more or less feel the same? But the smooth and cool texture is very different from human skin obvi so it doesn’t bother Iguro as much.

He’s also great at finding help for iguro!! Some people can’t really understand the snake but I imagine his main cg(s) become familiar with what Kaburamaru is signaling.

Obanai: ...No.
