Dexter smiled, crossing his arms whilst thinking the man should be crazy; he wouldn’t complain though. “Trust me, it’s worth it. There’s so much stuff there we’ll come back as heroes.”

Not able to deny that the thought of being viewed as a “hero” did appeal to him, the corners of Abel’s lips curled into a lopsided simper, radiating a small sense of confidence --- after all, Abel Evans was not the type of man who was celebrated. He had no honor; he was not principled nor honest and he’d shed his pride long ago. Abel was not a hero and he knew it --- but maybe this new life would give him a second chance to try and amend that.
